My only feedback is having the ability to do my Invisalign consult and molds in the same visit and having free parking for patients. Let's see how the Invisalign process goes! Avoid Tend Dental at All Costs…read more I cannot recommend Tend to anyone considering Invisalign or any form of dental care. Dr. Shane has been excellent throughout my treatment. He is thorough, professional, and genuinely invested in his patients. It is frustrating to see someone so capable working for a company this disorganized. I have spent nearly $7,000 on Invisalign and followed every instruction carefully. My primary goal was to correct a single rotated tooth that had relapsed after prior orthodontic treatment. I saw Dr. Shane on June 16 after progressing through tray 28 of 36. At that point, we determined the tooth had enough space to rotate, but it was not responding to the current treatment plan. Dr. Shane recommended I try tray 29 for two weeks to see if it would improve. When it didn't, I returned on June 26 and he rescanned me for refinement trays to move forward. Since that June 26 appointment, no progress has been made. It is now early August and I have received no new trays, no update, and no timeline. I have been wearing tray 29 for nearly a month and a half. It is deteriorating, full of holes, and has become uncomfortable to wear. I communicated this clearly to the staff. After "checking" twice and confirming that my trays were physically at the office prior to my scheduled appointment, I was notified less than an hour before the visit that the wrong trays had been sent by the lab. Instead of taking accountability or expediting a solution, I was simply rescheduled three more weeks out -- as if that was an acceptable response to wearing a deteriorating aligner for over six weeks. There was no urgency, no escalation, and no regard for the impact this delay would have on my treatment. Adding to the frustration, Tend routes all scheduling and communication through a centralized call center. You cannot speak directly with the local office. Even basic requests turn into drawn-out back-and-forth exchanges with someone who has no knowledge of your treatment or any relationship with your provider. I explicitly requested a call from someone in leadership -- twice. Instead, I received a generic email more than a week later saying my concern had been forwarded to studio management. No one ever followed up. No one seems to care. This experience is not an isolated case. On my past few visits to the Kendall Square location, I have personally witnessed at least two other patients visibly upset in the waiting area, also due to Tend's negligence. That says everything about how this place is run. Once this issue is resolved, I will not be returning. Tend is all about polished branding, but behind the scenes is a revolving door of staff, zero accountability, and no real support once they have your money. Dr. Shane deserves to work somewhere that supports both patients and professionals. If you are considering Tend, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Your time, money, and health deserve better.

I highly recommend the doctors, hygienists and administrative staff there, in particular Dr. George Stevens. I had a tooth decaying beneath its ancient crown. It was nagging me, telling me it was heading toward its nerve and about to light up my mouth in pain. It pretty much guaranteed a true challenge for any dentists. I had consulted at least 4 over 7 years. The gnarly look of it coupled with my high dental anxiety caused them to postpone or flat out declined addressing it. Not Dr. Stevens. He made it a priority in treating my teeth. He provided all the different approaches to its repair. With great care and expertise, and sans pain! he set about the arduous task of saving and restoring it. Now it looks amazing and, as importantly, feels wonderful. There is more work ahead, and of course, I will entrust it to Dr. Stevens. Also, it is worth noting: the office is tucked up in the lush environment of historic Marlborough Street, one of the last businesses allowed there giving it a sense of home that is welcoming, relaxing and comforting. These folks are great. Everyone's super friendly and super enthusiastic about your teeth. That's a breed of enthusiasm you don't find often. It's definitely not one of my favorite activities to have someone poking my gums with needles, but when they do everything to put you at ease about it, it's not so bad. I find myself sometimes almost falling asleep while they work, which is definitely counter to every animal instinct. The enthusiasm extends to Dr. Hsu, who is just super stoked to talk about care regimes. He takes the time to answer your questions, give you suggestions and explain everything. People who are excited about their work are nice to be around, and so I enjoy talking to him. Just a great place all around. They need to fix their intercom, though. It's been just raw blasts of static for years now.

My hygenist, Sarah, and the office coordinator, Laura, just couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. They are professional and gentle and fun.... They have two tvs you can watch during your treatment. Everything was pleasant even the xrays were gentle and rapid. . Dr. Fiorillo is a great character, as are his staff. After extensive research, this appliance (Essix) should cost maximum $450 and should include the office visit and fitting. I was charged a whopping $1676, more than three times the average cost. My insurance covered none of it. I am taking my business elsewhere because he quoted me a price of $7000 to fix the tooth and even suggested full mouth reconstruction, which no dentist had ever mentioned before in my life. I've been a patient for three years now and I've only had good experiences. Sherice at the front desk is always helpful with reminding me of appointments and answering my insurance/billing questions. Vanessa is a good hygienist. She and the other hygienists have convinced me to start flossing for the first time in my life. Their office is convenient to my office in Kendall Square and with an early morning or lunch time appointment, I don't miss any work. They have been ready for me on-time for each of my visits. Dr. Kosmidis has filled two of my cavities and installed one crown. (I think it's called a crown... maybe a "cap"... whatever) Each procedure as well as all my cleanings have gone well. I'm not sure what else to review about the dentist. Oh, he has a cool CAD/CAM mill that he used to fabricate my cap (crown?). As an engineer I enjoyed watching the machine create my new tooth part from a white block of ceramic.
