In fact they found the old fan just tossed to the side and left in the attic. One of the fan's flapper would not open because the flapper was too large for the tube and they never adjusted that. It wasn't until I asked about pricing for the follow-up appointment that they told me the bill would cost $450. Since I didn't have the original phone conversation recorded, and therefore didn't have a paper trail for the quote, I felt obligated to pay the full bill. The whole experience felt duplicitous and deceptive; I would have never agreed to the inspection if I knew it would cost that much. I talked to their owner who offered me a 10% discount, and assured me that he's committed to fixing this mistake.
