IMO April is a terrific practitioner. She listens well, is open to ideas that I have about my health and provides honest opinions about those ideas. So far she has made accurate diagnoses when I have been sick and for my medical conditions, I feel that we are working together to control and improve them whenever possible. Additionally the nurses and front desk receptionists have all been professional and personable. The one issue I had a couple of years ago was handled by the Manager and I was very satisfied with her solution. Overall, Choptank Health in Cambridge has been a very positive experience.

She cleaned his teeth and gave me top notch advice on how to help a teenager have good oral hygiene with braces. She recommended a waterpik and gave me some tablets to show how well you are brushing by showing what spots you missed. Very very good advice! And the office was very flexible when making my follow up appointment. I definitely recommend this practice.

During checkout I found out that the 3d-xray comes at a cost of $310 and it's a medical procedure (out of network) and the surgical center wanted their $310 prior to me leaving the building. This left a sour taste in my mouth, and I thought about going elsewhere for the surgery. However, I was already too deep at this point. Fast forward to surgery day. I checked in at the front desk and was told that I needed to pay my estimated charges prior to me going back for surgery. I woke up from surgery still a little groggy from the anesthesia. I vaguely recall someone saying they took a tissue sample of my gum while I was unconscious. A month later I received a $450 bill for the tissue sample extraction and biopsy medical procedure (out of network) that I never agreed to. Is this even legal??

Even when they were explaining I would need a rootcanal- the delivery was superb and comforting. They also love when you talk to them and ask plenty of dental questions. Sure it isn't your job to know what the mesial or distal surface is of your tooth- but it helps the dental team to deliver a better explanation. They also thoroughly went what I would owe due to my insurance coverage, and payment options for my rootcanal procedure I need. I seriously have been dreading the dentist but this team was so great! Definitely choosing Easton Aspen Dental for my care!

The negotiated fee is $1050 from MetLife. I am responsible for some expenses not covered by my insurance but Aspen said I would have to pay the $2500. I had a billing issue that was eventually resolved amicably. The other thing was that I met a friend and his wife in the waiting room. We soon realized his wife and I both had 8:00 appointments with Dr. P. She was called in at 8AM. I was called in at 8:20. One assistant denied that a double booking had occurred. She waved a USB cable at me and said I was called in late because of an "equipment shortage". When I checked out a front desk rep also denied a double booking until I gave her the name of the other 8:00 patient. She belatedly fessed up to the double booking. The ironic thing was that when I left the previous appointment (where there was no waiting) the front desk sold me on the 8:00 time for the next appointment on the premise that there would be no waiting. A good place for dental care but take something to read when you go.
