Dr. Amin was great and was able to take care of what needed done most. Our Missionary was so impressed with how he was treated. I called this morning to make arrangements for payment. Both of the office people I talked to were very professional and kind. I wish I remembered the name of the lady I talked with regarding payment, but it was such a great experience dealing with her. I'm so glad she's back after the birth of her sweet new baby, because appointments with her always feel like catching up with an old friend (even if said friend has sharp objects in my mouth lol). They work hard to keep you informed for the whole process, and answer all of your questions (even the ones that might be...dumb. I am very guilty of asking a LOT of questions, and they never make me feel like I'm being a pain in the teeth about it). The facilities themselves are relaxing and comfortable, and the vibe of the office feels more like a spa than a dentists' office. I have so many friends that HATE going to the dentist, but I can't relate because Dr. Amin, Sarah, and the rest of the staff are so great! (Also, my most recent appointment was during COVID's pandemic, and I appreciated the transparency of the precautions they take to keep both patients and staff as safe as possible. I checked in from my car by calling the office, and Sarah called me back when my chair was ready for me and instructed me to wear my mask. There was hand sanitizer available in every room, and everyone wore masks. There's standard questioning at the beginning to be sure you're "safe" and they take your temperature and have you swish with a hydrogen peroxide [I think] solution to minimize any germs during your appointment. They are patient with my children to help them understand what they are doing and why teeth cleaning is important. For at least 18 months prior we had been told all they could do was temporary fillings until they could do X-rays. We were told that X-rays would be done under sedation/at the time of treatment. In early May, we scheduled the appointment for sedation in late August. The day of the appointment, we arrived 10 minutes early, were called back after about 10 minutes in the waiting room, and then sat in the exam room waiting for about 30 more minutes. The doctor arrived and informed us that because there were no X-rays done, they would not be doing work that day and we would have to schedule out for December. The dentist we saw at this most recent appointment was very polite and apologetic, but we will not be returning.

When I started here 4 years ago they were a booming business where they made crowns in there…read moreoffice, did implants in there office which was very convenient, but shortly after my first implant, the Dr who performed it left there practice, and a new dentist started my treatment, but after my second visit he also left the practice, and he had performed a bridge which failed a year after it was put in, so I was moved to a new Dr again who wanted to repair the damage from the previous bridge disaster, and reccomended a implant, but they no longer do implants so they referred me out to a new dental surgeon who extracted 2 teeth and started the implant. At this time this doctor noticed severe decay in front of a molar he pulled, and said he doubted the tooth could be saved. Why after 4 years being seen at patuxent dental did they never see this decay? When I called and complained they set me up with an appointment, and then the day prior to the appointment they called and said they needed to end our patient client relationship. So if you complain about their bad dentistry practices , rather than fixing the issues they will simply drop you as a patient. It is very easy to see why two highly skilled dentist left this practice, and believe me I should have never gone there, all they care about is big money procedures like crowns, implants, etc while they let the rest of your teeth rot. I couldn't have been more pleased with what I discovered. Dr. Mohomed and staff were extrordinarily welcoming and accommodating. They treated my mother like she was their own. Unfortunately, before the final dentures were complete, COVID happened. In addition, my mother fell and shattered her femur, ending up in a nursing home/rehab and unable to travel to the dentist for the fitting. In one of the most selfless and compassionate acts I have seen of a medical professional, Dr. Mohomed drove to my mother's nursing home after hours to fit her dentures in her bed. She then returned to her practice to make a final adjustment before taking them back to my mother -- again personally. What a relief to my mother -- Dr. Mohomed's selfless act relieved some of the strain of my mother's difficult recovery by allowing her to eat normally again. Witnessing Dr. Mohomed's skill and compassion convinced me to switch dentists as well. I have been a patient of GGDC for years since. I will also add from personal experience that in addition to being an amazing human being, Dr. Mohomed is skilled in performing complex dental procedures. They both travel to Guatemala and provide free dental care to the Mayan people way back in the hills. These people are desperately poor and they are a full day's walk away from any dental Care. Imagine that you or your child had a horrific toothache and needed to have a tooth pulled and were faced with a full day's walk. And there's no Holiday inn waiting at the end of the rainbow either. This charity for years now has been providing fluoride in the water of the Mayan people to prevent the problems necessitating dental Care.
