That interaction left me tearful and angry--and was documented as such in my medical record, which felt deeply insensitive and stigmatizing. The clinic had the choice to either see me or not, but scolding a patient is not professional. Later, when my insurance changed, they simply canceled a long-standing appointment without contacting me first. I expected more empathy, respect, and communication from a healthcare provider. I am seeking care at another practice.
