Responsive and helpful, even providing suggestions for nail salons in the area for my wife. Cape Massage is located in downtown Orleans sharing the parking lot with Hole- in- One Donuts. Its in the wood shingled building at the back of the parking lot. The spa itself was very nice. A relaxing environment without the overwhelming hippie / Buddhist temple decor you get at a lot of places. I sat and read a book in the lobby/ waiting room while my wife had her massage, so I had plenty of time to take in the relaxation, and note that everything about Cape Massage is very new and clean (massage room, waiting area, and restrooms) I got an hour long Swedish massage, as her web site says the hour massage is a full hour of hands on time. Not the 50 minutes other places do. Both mine and my wife's massages ended up being 75 minutes if not more. The appointment after us had canceled and we weren't in any hurry. Brooke was pleasant and easy to talk to, but seemed to have a good sense when I wanted to chat, and when it was good time to be quite and let me relax. We will be going back the next time we are one the Cape and may consider using her out-call services to limit the amount of time we need to be away from the beach.

Beth Calderwood is by far they BEST massage therapist! I feel so RELAXED, SAFE, and HEALED when I…read moreleave her studio. If you are looking for real massage therapy work, then look no further! This is the person for you! I have had massage work in the past and one incident left me very physically and emotionally hurt, you might even say I had post traumatic stress from it. It was very bad and scary. So I avoided massages for almost 10 years (not evan joking it was that traumatic) I work as an aesthetician myself, so I am familiar with massage therapist in the work place. Still, I never felt comfortable with anyone working on, never mind evan touching me. Than I met Beth through mutual friends, some months past and I was in a horrible car accident, I had SERVE WHIPLASH, and was in constant pain! Soft tissue damage is the worst feeling. Especially when you are on your feet all day, and your job requires you to use your full body to complete your tasks at hand. After 2 physically therapists, and a chiropractor, with still no relief . I felt hopeless..."How was I going to get back to normal?"" Would I ever feel right for work again?" " What if I need to change my career over this?" I felt so physically, and emotionally overwhelmed. Beth heard about my injury. She told me that she specialized in neck injuries. And would be happy to help me, when I was ready. A little over a year went by, still, a little unsure, but I gave it a try. The pain was so bad for so many months, after the accident. I was desperate for help... and I must say the only regret is that I didn't see Beth Calderwood sooner! During my massage Beth went slow and kept checking in with how I was doing/feeling. She took my past story VERY SERIOUSLY, and I was so appreciative of her understanding and patience. I am blessed to know Beth she has changed my life, my opinion on body work, and my neck is feeling much better with every visit I see her (about every 2-4 weeks I am proud to announce =D ) Its going to take sometime for all the scare tissue to leave, seeing that the injury was left untreated for so long. But Beth makes me feel confident that I'm on the right path for a FULL recovery!! Thanks Beth I owe you so much!! xo Angie
