I ordered the moist brisket green chili sausage and St. Louis ribs. Sides green chili cream corn and macaroni and cheese. 1st of all the moist brisket was very tasteful one of the few restaurants that actually splits the brisket moist from the cap. I liked the sausage and the ribs were cooked perfectly no fall off the bone. The sides were great. My wife had brisket and turkey. The turkey was moist an flavorful and the moist brisket was very good. Side were green beans and potatoe salad. Also had homemade banana pudding. Very good. Only negative is there seasoning is light dusting of salt and pepper needs a little more seasoning and spices to there meat. Otherwise the food and sides were cooked perfectly. Very friendly staff quick service very knowledgeable of the food and sides

My hubby read an article in Texas Monthly about this place so I decided to give it a try the next…read moretime I was visiting my mom in the Panhandle. It's a decent sized place located on the old Olton road way. I got here around 2:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot had several cars. There are two entrances as you face the building from the parking lot. The one on the left takes you to the order counter and the one on the right takes you to a seating area. I ordered three lbs of pork ribs and 1 lb of brisket to go. I watched as the ribs and brisket were cut. The ribs are St. Louis style ribs that have a good smoke ring on them. The brisket was lean and cut in thick slices. It too had a good smoke ring. I didn't order any sides because I still had another hour on the road. I did get the usual condiments of pickle, onions, and jalapeños. My order smelled delicious as I carried it to my car. I finally got the opportunity to sample the bbq upon my arrival at my destination. Both the ribs and brisket had a very tasty dry rub the drew out the flavor of the meat but wasn't over powering. The smoke flavor was very pleasant as well. The brisket was so tender that I could cut it with a fork. The ribs were cooked perfectly. The meat stayed on the bone until I took a bite. Then the meat would easily come off the bone. This place will definitely be in my list of great bbq places. My only complaint is that the young lady who was taking my order was on her phone when I got to the register and it was apparently a personal call. She made me wait a least five minutes while she finished her conversation. She didn't apologize or care that she made a paying customer wait while she carried on with a personal call.

My favorite was the triple jam mead, followed by the queen's revenge mead. The Johnny apple is a good dry cider, not too sweet. My frozen blend of strawberry & tropical flavored mead was a little sweet for my taste. Service is always quick and friendly and the store is very clean. The food menu looks tasty too, but I haven't tried it yet. We'll be back!

For $16.95 I did a mead flight trying their flavors; Queens Revenge which is a just a straight no frills honey mead. Great sweet honey flavor. I tasted of grapes. Smoke Show which the honey is smoked prior to fermentation. Nice subtle hints of smoke flavor. This was well balanced with a hint of sweet and a hint of savory. Cranberry Orange I'm always going to say yes. Nice sweet fruit flavors. My fourth pour was Johnny Apple which was OMG DELISH favorite. Yes, I'm taking a bottle home. For lunch I enjoyed their white chili stew, $9.95 for a bowl. It was well worth it, the flavors were OMG and it was very satisfying for a cold day. Any trip to the panhandle I will go out of my way to visit and support this local business. I most definitely recommend stopping. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
