So. I was sorta upset. That my "2" hour back to back appointment for cleaning and X-ray (changed…read moredentist) was going to take "2" visits due to the fact they found it needed more cleaning than could be done in 1 hour. Now the previous dentist I had. They did text to communicate when I first signed up just before covid, but, either that employee did it on her own phone. or they stopped using the service they used to use to text me. either way. they would call me for appointments. and miss me as I was at work couldn't take the call. and when I called back it would go to voicemail. and they don't seem to email. so I got a missed call during work. and by the time I remembered about it and called back they were closed. couldn't recall if I had an appointment that weekend or not but I knew I had one in Aug...... decided I needed to find a dentist that texted emailed and actually answered their phones. so. why did I give them 5 stars when they told me it was 1 visit and now I have to come back for another hour of cleaning? the hygienist.... wouldn't budge. she told me it needed more than 1 hour cleaning. and she wasn't willing to sacrifice my teeth to accommodate my demands. she got receptionist in to talk sense in to me. and when that didn't do the trick they then got the dentist in. to talk to me. and finally I just agreed. NOT because they bully me, but because they cared enough to say NO, no we are not squishing 2 hours of much needed dental cleaning into a 1 hour slot. I am happy they cared enough to stand their ground. I really liked her cleaning pace. I didn't feel apprehensive because I could mentally follow along with where she was cleaning. she rocks! dentist was awesome too. came in. made sure I knew what the game plan is. when I come back again. and what we doing to make sure I stay on top of areas. Koodos to the guy who did my X-rays. it's not easy squishing those wings in there at just the right spot. he took his time. and it went well. I felt good I didn't feel nervous. And the receptionist team were amazing I left them figuring out billing for my two insurance there was something iffy about who to bill how much or something. Hahaha. Don't forget to bill me guys I haven't paid lol Thanks guys. See you saturday for my other cleaning session.

Cathy, the receptionist, is always on top of her game. I've had her process both Canadian and American insurance forms. There's always ample free parking in the lot surrounding the office, housed in a converted cottage of sorts -- makes for a much less intimidating experience. Coming from Vancouver, I find it easier to drive out here than, say, downtown. I'm usually worked on by Faye, a virtuosic periodontal maven who specializes in all gum-related wizardry and wields an arsenal of gadgets and metal tools... She's incredibly detailed and conscientious in ferreting out all the gunk that shouldn't be there. Between Faye and Dr. Sayson, I trust their assessments and recommendations, because I feel they balance unattainable ideals with (my) practicalities and plenty of common sense --- for what's best for me and my teeth. Sure, I don't floss as often as I should. And I probably don't visit my dentist as often as I should. But whenever I do visit, it's an appointment I not only *don't* dread, but even *almost* look forward to! Besides, being located just beyond the busy commercial hubbub of No. 3 Road, what better excuse to treat yo'self to a bout of delicious dim sum afterward? Anyway, I usually don't gush about such things if it's not a perfect xiaolongbao, but hey -- in order keep eating, I need to keep my teeth! (And so do you.)

Both of my children grew up coming here, and I wouldn't trust our smiles to anyone else. Dr. Sandra Finch and her team consistently provide outstanding dentistry with a level of professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care that is hard to find. They take the time to explain treatment options, answer questions thoroughly, and make every visit as comfortable as possible. What has impressed me most over the years is their unwavering commitment to quality. You never feel rushed, and it's clear they are focused on achieving the best possible long-term outcome rather than the quickest solution. Whether it's routine preventive care or more complex dental work, I've always felt confident that we're receiving exceptional treatment. The office is welcoming, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and appointments are always well organized. After more than 15 years as a patient, I frequently recommend Finch Tree Dental to friends and family looking for a dentist who truly cares and consistently delivers outstanding results. I live in Washington State, and even with the drive across the border, it's absolutely worth it. The favorable exchange rate is an added bonus, but the real reason I continue making the trip is the exceptional quality of care. I simply wouldn't go anywhere else.
