Not completely…read moresatisfied with other dentists' results in the interim, we scheduled an appointment at River District Dentistry after reading about the clinic online. One of the big draws for us was that they use the latest technology for their dental work, which was detailed on their website. I'm happy to say our search is over as we were very impressed with the new patient overview and initial teeth cleaning. The entire staff was welcoming and made us feel right at home. Jesse and Amanda are two of the friendliest receptionists I've ever met! Niki was super nice and very patient as she guided us through the introductory process (consisting of panoramic + standard angle X-rays, full dental photos, questionnaire & dental review with the doctor). Victor and Shannon, our hygienists that day, were extremely thorough during the cleaning process and never made us feel rushed. There are two doctors at this clinic; we met with Dr. Biddle during our first visit. I immediately appreciated Dr. Biddle's method of presentation as he was going through the review of the new patient questionnaire and dental images. He took the time to really listen to my concerns and never seemed pushy with any procedure he mentioned. After presenting all the facts, he gave his opinion in a non-forceful manner, then truly left it up to me to decide if I wanted any procedure. I say "truly" because even though any dentist will need to abide by the patient's choices in the end, their method of "recommendation" can vary greatly. My regular dentists at the previous clinic were extremely pushy about getting all sorts of dental procedures done. This urgency made it seem like my teeth were about to fall apart, which was odd because overall I felt they were relatively healthy with some minor issues. I didn't appreciate this insistency of dental procedures at the previous clinic as it made their recommendations appear to be money grabs from insurance (I'm not sure if this was the real reason, but it sure came across like that). Dr. Biddle was nothing like this at all and gave us really good vibes right from the beginning. As suspected, the overall health of my teeth was confirmed; I just needed to keep an eye out for a few problem areas. The clinic itself was warm and welcoming. Even though they've been in business three years already, the place looked brand new and sparkling clean... a great reassurance when allowing someone to probe your teeth and gums with publicly-shared instruments! We will definitely be long-term patients here and are extremely thankful to the staff for providing such a great experience at, who would have thought, the dentist!

Brand new dentist in the River District area. With a new office comes fancy new equipment and tech and young staff. Really great reception team. Always friendly and welcoming. The medical staff are also very friendly but they're all very young and with that comes lack of experience. It's not a bad thing but they haven't caught anything my old dentist would have caught (or scolded me) on. They are very efficient so I'll continue to come here. Have already referred a few neighbours there and we are all happy with the service. Thanks everyone!

They keep you informed with what is about happen, and always ensure that you are comfortable during the procedure. I was impressed during my last appointment how they applied PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma): a new approach in dental and oral surgery proven to have beneficial outcomes in reducing bleeding and enhancing soft tissue healing. He identified issues that I had previous knowledge of from other dentists, but where he differed was he did not recommend any expensive procedures. It was refreshing sitting with a dentist and not feeling like I was getting sold something. Without mentioning the reception and hygienists by name all I will say is they were great. They were warm and welcoming. Going to the dentist is never at the top of my list of things to do, but my experience at Terra Nova Dental Centre is about as good as it gets. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

He said we need to do a root canal now. So I made an appointment but I missed it due to a family emergency. So after taking the Antibiotic for a week, the pain came back after a month and I made an appointment to see him. I walked in the clinic, from his secretary to dental hygienist and the dentist himself were after me for missing the appointment and dr yu clearly said "I am not lecturing you but as business person I lost the sale and had to pay my staff. You should have given us 24 hr notice to cancel so I could have used that time and I lost so much money because of you guys....and you got the estimate for your daughters Invisalign and never got them done". We have been going to this dentist since 2002, we don't have any dental insurance and we have to pay each time from my pocket. For my daughter I paid whatever the consultation was but he quoted an amount that I couldn't afford at that moment so we never anything done from him or any others dentist. For my husband he said it will be cheaper if you just get filling done for now but you need a root canal as it would be cheaper to just have the filling done. He charged me 380 dollars and for root canal it would only be another 300. He didn't give me any price point if though I asked him twice. And now the pain I had gone through for about 2 weeks and now again I am in pain or a week. Who is accountable for the pain I am going through. He just cares for money that's it. He is just a business man not a dentist.

They use incredibly outdated archaic methods and practices, almost as if this dental practice was from the 1800s. I remember dreading coming here, and their lack of understanding and competence was actually so bad that it put me off going to the dentist for years. That dinosaur of a dentist completely ruined my perspective of maintaining proper dental health. Thankfully I found a modern dental practice in downtown Vancouver which delightfully addressed all of my concerns, and helped me improve my dental health tenfold. I hope Seafair Dental Center closes down for good. What a terrible awful place.

It is extremely important to me that I can trust my dentist to be honest about what treatment I really need and the best course of action to take. Dr. Kwong does exactly that. Unlike many dental offices out there, Dr. Kwong is not all about making that extra buck. He tells me exactly what I need to have done, but he does not make frivolous recommendations for additional unnecessary treatment. I couldn't be happier with my experience at Seafair Dental :)

Mask are required like everywhere else and hand sanitizers are in place but what really impressed me was I watched an employee take their own temperature with the temp gun and record it in a log book. There were also other COVID-19 prevention procedures in place in the treatment areas that made me feel safe to be there. Jenny my hygienist did an great job taking care of me, she is always friendly professional and very good at what she does. On that same note the rest of team at the clinic are a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this clinic.

Plus the lady at the reception is so rude and unprofessional, when I showed her the text message on my wife's phone about the appointment, she refused to acknowledge it, instead of accepting the mistake she asked us to get out and when i tried to show her the appointment message, she told me she don't want to see anything and told us to leave and when i said her to email us the x-ray done by the doctor on the previous visit she said that she will send the release form to us. I was shocked by this behaviour. Is this the kind of professionalism we expect from a dentist.

Found Dr Tham and his team and I am SO happy I made the switch. Everyone in the office is super friendly, accommodating, and warm. I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist (yes, at 37 I still got the jitters) and I actually look forward to going. Dr. Tham is an amazing dentist and does amazing work. Very informative when explaining all procedures, and made sure I was comfortable afterwards too.
