Initially I had planned to purchase the same brand mattress that I currently had, except in a king size instead of queen. Roger was not pushy at all, but candidly informative when he compared the two latex brands I was considering. Thankfully, he pointed me in the direction of the Obasan brand, which is a step up from the latex brand I was sleeping on before I came into the showroom. I never received an email, but the team did show up as scheduled. 4 or 5 guys arrived to set up four pieces of furniture. They were fairly speedy and everything was done in an hour or less. Unfortunately, one piece was assembled incorrectly and I had to contact customer service for a replacement. They have no customer service phone number and everything is handled via email, but they were very speedy with their responses, which was appreciated. I also requested to switch out my mattress and they accommodated my request for free within the three day grace period. Overall, it's been a good experience.

The woman tallied it up and said "$14,000." I gotta say...I was rather shocked...I thought maybe $6,000, for a fancy mattress setup like this. But fourteen thousand?? The salesperson sent the wrong info to the measurements person; the measurements person didn't measure things properly; and the installer showed up alone; he couldn't get down the basement steps. We should have started with Hide N Go. After the failed installation with that other company, we found Murphy Bed Mike. It was easy to schedule an appointment with him for his NYC location. He met with us, patiently reviewed our needs, understood the issue with had with a tight space to get to the basement, and showed us what we needed. No high pressure tactics, no upsell, simply a friendly consultative review. Mike stayed in touch with us with good communication while we waiting a few weeks for delivery. He was flexible with scheduling installation and he installed it personally (with help). The murphy bed fits out old basement perfectly, while the mattress is comfortable and convenient.
