We needed a queen size murphy bed for our guest room / office and headed to Hide-N-Go Sleep in Manhattan based on the stellar reviews they have on their New Jersey store. Mike was easy to work with, explained everything in detail (timeline, price, installation, etc) and provided us with a great customer experience. He also helped us with our building COI requirements and on the day of installation, Kevin and Mike were on time, installed everything pretty quickly and took all the empty boxes/packaging with them. Great experience working with this company and we highly recommend this business for any Murphy Beds or customized units. read more

Hide N Go Sleep Murphy Beds - Thank you Mike! - Furniture Stores Near Me - New York, New York

When we needed a murphy bed for the basement, we contacted a big box retailer with an orange logo. Big mistake! They had one person sell the bed, another take measurements and a third do the installation. The salesperson sent the wrong info to the measurements person; the measurements person didn't measure things properly; and the installer showed up alone; he couldn't get down the basement steps. We should have started with Hide N Go. After the failed installation with that other company, we found Murphy Bed Mike. It was easy to schedule an appointment with him for his NYC location. He met with us, patiently reviewed our needs, understood the issue with had with a tight space to get to the basement, and showed us what we needed. No high pressure tactics, no upsell, simply a friendly consultative review. Mike stayed in touch with us with good communication while we waiting a few weeks for delivery. He was flexible with scheduling installation and he installed it personally (with help). The murphy bed fits out old basement perfectly, while the mattress is comfortable and convenient. Highly recommend. read more

From buying my new Murphy bed to installation this was a fantastic and stress free experience. Mike was early for our scheduled appointment, honest about the product, and patient with all my questions. We scheduled the delivery date at the appointment meeting for one week later. The day before delivery Mike text confirmation for the delivery window and was on time that day. Mike and his assistant were careful and respectful of my space during installation. They cleaned up all of the boxes and made sure everything was left in good condition. After installation, they checked that everything was attached safely and properly and ensured that the bed was ready for overnight guests. read more

My Murphy bed was just installed and I love it! Amazing what a google search can do. I vetted a couple places before choosing Hide N Go. After a few text with the owner I visited the showroom and was pleased with the options. The overall process went well with no issues. I choose a style, hardware, gave them the room size, made a deposit on PayPal and had a complete bed delivery in about 4 weeks. No hassles at all. The quality is awesome and it was well put together. This was a perfect idea for a small space in my house. The bed was fairly priced not cheap but also didn't break the bank. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. It is a very unique style and looks so cool. Highly recommended. read more

My wife and I needed to create a guest space in our home to invite and welcome our family and friends. We wanted to find a Murphy bed and after searching for months, we found Murphy Bed Mike and the perfect piece for us! This barn door style bed fits amazingly within our room and design. Mike was amazing to work with, and helped us build exactly what we needed. We cannot say enough good things about him, and his efforts to make us happy. As for the furniture itself, the craftsmanship is impeccable. A beautiful design, built with real wood and not particle board (we used oak), and even dovetail construction! We are happy beyond our expectations, and highly recommend Mike and Hide-N-Go-Sleep! read more

This was a great experience. Mike was super helpful and even answered questions after the purchase. I like the chest-style murphy bed we bought and even though the mattress is a trifold, as Mike assured me, it is truly a very comfortable mattress to sleep on. Great product and great service. read more

Wonderful and quick installation. Have this bed for a couple of months now and still no problems. Thank you.

The best customer service from start to finish! Seriously! Mike guided me to the best possible option of Murphy beds for my space, gave me a great deal on a full set up complete with mattress for my very small Manhattan apartment. Mike and his crew mate Kevin came back twice to make sure the bed was securely installed due to old plaster walls. They were prompt, professional, personable, funny and worked quickly and efficiently. I am so excited to have more space and such a quality piece of furniture. The foam mattress that we purchased is beyond comfortable. I would recommend this company for all of your Murphy bed needs. Thank you Hide N Go Sleep, I am one happy and satisfied customer. Thank you! Cheers!! read more

I had nothing but the best customer service from Mike. He helped me pick out the right bed and facilitated a smooth delivery and installation. I've been getting complements left and right about the murphy bed's aesthetics and my guests are extremely satisfied with the mattress quality as well! Thanks again! read more

I moved into a studio apartment and had limited space. After doing research, I discovered that a Murphy Bed would be the best option for me. Having no experience in design, measurements, or furniture, I did not know where to start. I found Hide N Go online, and contacted them. Michael from the company contacted me right away, went over several design options that would work with my apartment through email. He then came to my apartment and went over my choice and the best way to maximize the space. He recommended the side cabinets that are full closets so now I have three closets in my small apartment. The hardest part of the entire process was making a decision on what I wanted to get (color and style). The rest, the measurements, making sure that the furniture will maximize space, the delivery, the installation and everything else was smooth. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the product and for the ease of the installation. I would highly recommend Hide N Go Sleep for anyone looking into maximizing their space in their home. read more

Wow. Just wow. Mike installed our new bed today and it is gorgeous. Exactly as designed, absolutely no blemishes, and works flawlessly. And it arrived exactly on schedule. And installation was painless (for me at least, since they did the whole thing)! These guys are real pros. I don't buy a lot of Murphy beds -- one should be plenty -- but if I ever need another I would 100% go back to Mike. read more

I recently moved into a new apartment and wanted a Murphy bed that was of good quality, and professionally installed. Hide N Go Sleep was the perfect solution. Mike was quick to respond to questions, walked me through their products in person, and when they showed up to install the bed it was quick and easy. The bed is made of solid wood, and it's beautiful. My friends all love it. People can see it behind me while I'm on Zoom calls and they compliment me too "it's so pretty, it doesn't look like a bed". Of all the people who have been in and out while I've been moving and painting and all that, Mike is the only one that delivered a solid product with top service. This bed is worth every penny. read more

I called Mike for a relatively small job compared to what he's used to doing. I was moving into my new apartment, and the movers couldn't fit my queen box spring into my building, so I started calling around town looking for a new split one. Mike answered my call and agreed to bring one by 2 days later. Another item that the movers couldn't fit into my place was my headboard, so our last option in that moment was to leave it in my building's trash pickup area. When I told Mike about this he got his tools out of his car and disassembled the headboard and put it back together up in my apartment! Free of charge, out of the kindness of his heart. I highly recommend him for his work ethic if not for his murphy beds. read more

Living in Manhattan with limited space, when we decided to redecorate and redo the rooms so that we could free up floorspace, we began looking at various sofa beds, wall-bed, different styles, etc... We waivered between a sofa bed and a wall-bed and ultimately settled on the later. Sofa beds are notorious for being uncomfortable after a few nights, but we were hesitant on being locked into a wall-bed that would only accommodate a specific mattress. After a few months, one visit to Hide N Go and we knew we had found what we wanted. Not only was the service and quality fantastic, the cost was far less than any of the places we had seen. One of the key selling factors was that unlike other wall-bed manufacturers, the units at Hide-N-Go could accommodate a standard mattress! We could buy a mattress at any manufacturer - or use one of our our existing ones - and it would fit. An added bonus was that there's enough space between the mattress and the base-board that we're able to drape a comforter over the bed (tucked in at the base) and mount pillows on the headboard before we close the unit up. With other manufacturers we would have needed to store the bedding elsewhere. Service was fantastic! Any little issue we had, Michael immediately addressed and went far beyond what we were expecting. And unlike other places where you deal with a salesperson and then later have someone else come to do the install - after delivery, Michael and an assistant were the ones who showed up! The finish and quality as so good that when visitors come over, we have to point out that the unit is a wall-bed. Even better for us NYers who rely on the subway to get around, the showroom is conveniently located half a block away from the Hoboken path station. We've had the unit for almost a year now with not a single issue. If you're in the city and looking for a wall-bed, do yourself a favor and take the Path to Hoboken and meet with Michael. A definite recommend! read more

I just received a murphy bed from Michael and his company and couldn't have had a better experience. His prices are far better than anything I was able to find in the city and his upgraded finishes would have cost an extra few thousand through other venders. There was also no extra cost for a larger frame. The options for styles were create and it perfectly matches the built-ins I have in my home. The process was very fast, only took a few weeks to build and the shipping was great, they were able to work around my building's ridiculous delivery rules and hours. We have very strict hours of when large items can be moved in and they were able to work around that easily and cleaned up when it was delivered. Within an hour of delivery Michael was at our door to install the unit. I also want to point out that Michael was nice enough to inform us that for our situation (I only need the bed for visitors so it won't be used daily), that getting a cheap mattress on my own might be more economical than what he was able to offer so I really appreciated his honestly and willingness to help us stay on budget. He also threw in some awesome reading lights located within the unit that other companies were trying to uncharge for. I highly recommend this company if you want a great deal on a great product with nice finishes and good customer service read more

We're really happy with our new wall bed! It's quality construction and design at a fair price. Michael and his assistant installed the bed and shelves onto our non-square wall in less than two hours. He even came on a Sunday to accommodate our schedule! read more

If you need a Murphy bed, look no further. I cannot write enough positive comments about Hide N Go Sleep and Michael. His selection is excellent and he's very helpful in assisting you with your design. He came to measure the room and confirmed that everything would fit comfortably. My order arrived within the time frame Michael quoted me (about 4 weeks). He and an associate Kevin installed the bed and two side cabinets quickly and carefully. As if this were not enough, Michael is the nicest and most accommodating person to work with. I was unhappy with my mattress, even though I had tried it in the store. Michael didn't even blink an eye; he ordered a replacement mattress for me that was softer than my original selection and made the swap. You will not regret doing business with him, but you might regret it if you don't! read more

Mike is a very nice guy, with very good customer service spirit. The bed is also in very good quality. I've been using the bed for one year and the bed is still in very good shape. No issue at all. I recommend him to whoever considering buying a Murphy bed. read more

OK, so this review is long overdue. Last month the murphy bed that I purchased in 1994 needed servicing. The place of purchase ( the Murphy Bed Center in Manhattan) is now defunct. I called the place closest to me, Murphy Bed Express on 8th ave in Chelsea. They were rude and unhelpful! I could find no-one who would even entertain the idea of fixing a small but necessary part of my bed. Then I called the guys at Hide N Go. They were so polite and the very next day they were in my apartment fixing the problem at a perfectly appropriate price. Fast, courteous and efficient. If I ever do need a new bed I will buy it here and I strongly recommend that you do too! read more

I have a small pied a terre that I just bought in Manhattan. I live in California most of the time, so all communication with Michael had to be done via email or telephone. When we finally found out a closing date for our apartment, we ordered a bed with a table that comes down when the bed is up, and needed a definite date for installation. Michael was extremely accommodating - he gave us an exact date and time for the delivery and installation and kept to his word. He and Kevin arrived at my apartment and did the installation with no drama and with great attitude. I am sitting at the table right now writing this and will sleep on the bed tonight. The bed opens and closes easily and the table seats up to 4. It's rare that service and quality is this good in this city and I would highly recommend him and his company. read more

I wish I had known about them before I got my bed installed six months ago. My new bed was so heavy to put up and down that sometimes I didn't even do it. I told the original installer and they said my mattress was too heavy and there was nothing they could do. So I lived with it until I found Mike and his team here. AMAZING!!! Called him up and expected to get another voice telling me that 'If we didn't install it we will not fix it". Not Mike. In his cheery voice he asked what the problem was, and immediately diagnosed I did not have enough springs. He came the following week and sure enough instead of 8 springs per side (queen bed) I had 4 springs on each side. He rectified that by adding the springs in twenty minutes and as we say in Canada, "Bob's your uncle". That means EXCELLENT! Now I can raise and lower it with three fingers, really, and the springs will last for ten years. So happy, Please call them at least to talk about your project - for your own sake. read more
