We split a salad that was big enough for a meal, my wife had the bolognese, and I had the steak. It was super rare, but as I cut into it, I would lay it onto the stone to allow it to cook a bit more. I like it on the lean side of medium rare and my wife prefers a bit more. This was perfect for us to both enjoy it the way we like. Her pasta was excellent as well and we enjoyed sharing the meal. A bottle of wine topped off a great dinner. The weather was rainy so we opted to sit inside and it was warm and welcoming. Our waiter was helpful with our choices and we enjoyed his observations. The only thing I can say that was off, was the older woman who was paying her bill before me was pressured into leaving a tip ( service charge, is what he said). I was prepared for that but was not asked to tip. Great meal, we enjoyed it immensely, but the service charge that was scammed out of the 70+ year old lady in front of me kind of left a sour taste in my mouth. I was going to tip a few euros because we enjoyed ourselves so much, but decided not to because of the way it was presented to the party before us.

We had a calzone and traditional spaghetti and both were delicious. I don't even know how to describe the calzone. It was unlike anything I've had before but SO good. I literally cleaned my plate with the last of the breading from it. The owner/chef was Luca. He was upset with the host because he had burned the plastic on the outdoor tent as he had placed a heater too close to it. To be honest, he seemed like a bit of a jerk, but his food was freaking delicious.

I just pointed to the slices I wanted, they were quickly warmed up, and the prices were very reasonable. We walked to the nearby fountain to eat them outside and had a nice first evening in Rome thanks to Yelp bringing us to this place and the wonderful people who run it. It's not really an indoor eating establishment, there are a few tables, but it's more of a quick-stop grab and go sort of place with excellent pies. Recommended!

Not busy but steady traffic around 9:45 on a Tuesday evening. A good amount of Roman square pizza options. We got a slice of just about everything that was available. Potato/sausage (stood out as we hadn't had this before), Zucchini Pesto was delicious, Ham and classic Margherita also didn't disappoint. Crust was light/airy and made for the perfect balance between crust and toppings. Beer and soft drinks were also available. Service was quick and friendly. If in the Monti district, make this stop for reasonably priced traditional pizza al trancio.

But what keep us coming back is their food and customer service, which were top notched! Gatsby Cafe is good for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! You just can't go wrong here. There's something for everyone. My guilty pleasure was their Pistachio Coffee (€6).....this turned out to be like a dessert, and I loved it. Not overly sweet and just perfection. Most people opted to sit in their outdoor dining area but iI would encourage you to sit inside the restaurant. Great vibe & atmosphere; completely different from their outdoor dining area! Food-wise, they have a diverse menu. Some of our faves were their sandwiches (available during lunch until they run out), their charcuterie board, and their pizzas. They also have hot dishes. Of course, don't sleep on their pastries and desserts either! Gatsby Cafe was definitely a great find! Thanks for your hospitality!

The place is nice, the coffee and pastry were good, and the service was even better. I sat outside for a while, tasted my macchiato, and crowd-watched.

I've even have veg burgers before, but this one wasn't so great. The chickpea patty is probably what did it. I don't think I've had that before, but it was part of the spicy burger so I thought I would like it. Other patties are made from other ingredients. It was a mouthful of mush, wasn't crazy about it. The fries were also disappointing. But, having said all that, I'm not a veggie so maybe this place is considered good for people that are... haha. Sick burn.

Ordering is confusing since they automatically assume you want the burger with fries/water, which is actual the "meal" version and costs about 12€. Ordering fries does not come with sauce, that is an additional 1€. The burger was extremely mediocre. This was my first vegan burger and I was very disappointed. Despite being "spicy", it was almost completely flavorless except for the spicy ketchup sauce they used. The chickpea had no seasoning and the only thing it contributed was some creaminess to the burger. The caramelized onions did not look like standard caramelized onions, and definitely did not taste that way. They are the purple things in the attached picture. It was completely indistinguishable in the burger.
