They 3D scan your feet and have you walk across a force plate and the computer spits out a 3D model of your feet so you can see how your arches look and how aligned your ankles are. They also show you where the forces are distributed on the plantar surfaces (bottoms) of your feet. Overall prices are not cheap, but you can't put a price on your health. The couple who owned the dog stood there so happy and smiling as I told them what happened and so did Sarah. Oh the dog is friendly is all they said, I said you need your dog kept on a leash and I told them what happened No reply except oh sorry well the dog is just so friendly Turns out I spent 5 hours at ER Kaiser, sat in the treatment room had a enormous eye wash sitting back in some sort of dental type recliner chair with plastic all over me so I wouldn't get wet, but it didn't help. The M.A and I were wet this was a two or more gallon square type container Doctor asked what happened. I told him he thought people should be MORE responsible!!!!!! He examined my eye and said my CORNEA was SCRATCHED!!!! I got medicated drops and return appointment in Optomology. What a freaking nightmare I went back to the store and told the manager Carol and she said she knew nothing about it. Apparently Sarah never told her about the incident which I had told Sarah all about in the office the next day after ER visit I asked Carol to put up a sign to keep all DOGS on a leash for now on In fact I told her a sign should have been in the window already. I told her I hope I see one in a week And I wasn't leaving her any good review I went a week ago and the sign is FINALLY in the window but it just went up about a month ago She didn't even put it up right away Maybe they will realize how CRITICAL things were that day for me!!!!! What if it was a Mama and her baby girl or a baby????? Then what??? She personified classic Nordstrom values and customer service. She was kind, bubbly, and courteous. I'm sure she probably wakes up that way every day and uses her spirit to achieve and anything she does, but on this day, she represented Nordstrom and the white club experience. I grew up knowing. She explained to me I don't buy item what was the final sale and how all of the policies worked. She was warm and empathetic from beginning to end. What a profile and professional excellence. I ended up choosing a pair of EVA Arizona Birkenstock sandals. At $54.95 they are $5 more than buying on Birkenstock direct website, so no savings especially as free membership allows you free shipping. However, I wasn't sure of my size for this brand so it was helpful to try several pairs out in person. The salespeople here were low key and helpful if asked for assistance. The store was large, cool, well lit and had a large selection. The store was larger than the ones I have gone to in Sacramento. I briefly looked at personal care items and they had a nice selection. Otherwise, we didn't have time to look at much else as we wanted to head home and beat the traffic. I am taking one star away for no discount on the shoes and the fact they when I got home I realized the security tag hadn't been removed at checkout . I was surprised to see how much regular retail was available here. The shoes are on display on the endcap and there are tons of sizes and stock in the shelves. There are some 'leftover' shoes too - deeply discounted - and I think 20% or 40% more off the already low prices for bargain hunters. In this area I found some PREMIUM air max 90s in my size but wasn't feeling the color and they are too squishy compared to the skateboard shoes I normally wear with ground feel. Also found some Dunk premiums - but not in a color I like too much. They would look good with camo and I just loved the premium leather - they were so cheap - I'm sure won't last as somebody will probably make a buck on them on ebay. Normally I like black or blue shoes - maybe a 'natural' brown leather also - but - I didn't find anything here this time.

I made a special trip a month or so ago to look at shoes for my dad. He had good luck with this brand in the past. Unfortunately, he has gout and very painful bunions impairing his functioning and he has daily pain in both feet. Though we are trying to address both issues with podiatry and his primary care doctor, it's still a challenge. He thought the two pairs of shoes we got would work after testing them out at the store, but after wearing them each for a couple hours at home he felt unstable and his feet hurt. A double negative. I wanted to return them but it's hard to find a time as they are only open from 10 am- 7 pm, and they are 45 minutes away, and add the never ending construction on Hwy 50/80 through West Sac to Davis, there's usually a huge slowdown, let alone more if there's an accident. I made a real effort to get to the store (including a 45 minutes delay) to get the shoes returned (which are virtually unworn) in the 45 day limit. I was greeted with "Are you here for an exchange?" I said, no, I'm here for a return, these didn't work out for my Dad. She then asked, did I need to look around just to make sure?... Um, no. She then asked in an accusing tone "Where's the box for the other pair?" I said the pair was in clearance and it didn't have a box. That is what my Dad told me...she said, "That's weird." She then proceeded to look over the shoes as if she was a forensic scientist. Flipping the soles, looking at the insoles...searching for signs of wear. She finally and reluctantly gave me a full refund. And with that unpleasant experience added to the awful drive, I will definitely not be returning here for anything. We had a great experience with the two guys running the store a month ago in the morning...no drama and just great customer service. I like to exercise my right to return. But I make sure things are in excellent shape, I have the receipt, I meet the time metrics, and understand the policies of the store. I did not appreciate being treated like a criminal for returning two pairs of athletic shoes. Be aware and choose to take your business elsewhere if the ability to return shoes is important to you.
