What a Nightmare! Avoid at all costs. 1st, we scheduled a reservation the day before, but it didn't matter. We still had to wait as if we had not called ahead. 2nd, the woman who was going to do my pedicure seemed to have zero interest in working. She had a terrible attitude, moved as slowly as possible to even get started, and then utterly ignored me when I told her what I'd like to get and did whatever she wanted to do. 3rd, she then proceeded to cut into the quick of my toe nail, hurting me very much, and then blamed me saying I had asked her to cut it. I had specifically told her not to cut the short nails, and pointed them out, but as I said, she didn't listen or care. 4th, a "manager" came over to make it better, but by that point the whole thing had been so awful that I no longer wanted a pedicure. It really was upsetting how they treated us. I went there with my Mom for her first-ever pedicure and it was just awful. I was very upset and they did nothing to make it better, other then take $5 off my pedicure (which I did not get, by the way, so I paid $20 to be treated like crap). 5th, the "manager" got upset that I wouldn't let her bully me into a pedicure after the awful treatment I received, and began to spray clorox into the foot-tub while I was still in the chair. Then she threw the bottle and cleaning brush into the foot-tub where my mom was getting a pedicure, so it sat there the entire time as if she wasn't even getting a service. Her pedicure was VERY Average, at best, but she really wanted it so I didn't want to leave without her getting something even though I was ready to leave very quickly. These folks are awful. This place is awful. Awful awful awful. I have never been to a nail salon that pays such little attention to their customers. I requested a manicure with gel polish. The manicure lasted all of 10 minutes. They barely filed my nails. They did not buff my nails. ... No rubbing of my hands- no hot wash cloth - no trimming my cuticles. And to top it all of the gel started chipping after 2 days!!!! It was horrible and I would never go back to this salon. I have no idea how they stay in business. Technicians are polite and nice. Pedicure great. But I got a fill and the nail tech who did my nails did a gel over the acrylic and said it would last looker and look great longer. Well it is still shiny...but all but a little bit of the color faded out. My daughter got just the gel, and the next day it was bubbling up. read more

I walked out before even being served. The atmosphere was tense and stressful. I was barely greeted and when I was acknowledged it was in a rude way. Upon asking how long my wait would be I was lectured that I showed up 10 minutes late for my "appointment" but reminded them that I had called and said I was running late. We have been here multiple times over the years and each time receive a sub par experience. Most recently we called and made appointments but still had to wait at least 15 minutes each. Additionally the gel colors do not match up with the color samples given so please be weary. One bright side is that they use pedicure bed liners which makes it cleaner and nicer read more

This was the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. One woman was exceptionally rude and arguing with me about the color I wanted on my nails. Long story short, I came in to get one nail fixed because it broke. I got my set previously from a different nail salon, so I came in to just fix one nail. The polish I had I figured wouldn't be the EXACT same at natural nails, so I asked for a different color. One girl started fixing my nail, then a lady yelled at her for starting on my nail before another customer, told me to move to a different seat, and then another seat. A different girl continued to work on my nail by filing a cut straight into my skin. The lady sitting next to her was literally yelling at me telling me the color THEY picked out (not the color I asked for) was the same as the color I had on my other nails already (and it wasn't) I kept saying "it's okay" and that I was alright with getting the silver I KEPT asking for. As soon as she painted my color finally on, she didn't even fix it to file, so my new nail is just super rigid and sharp. Definitely never coming back. read more

Given everyone was super nice, it was quick and affordable but little things ... Didn't soak my hands for manicure so cuticles weren't soft and hurt so bad as they were clipping and pulling, the paint job was messy and they didn't use an undercoat so who knows how long it will last. read more

Please listen carefully - STAY AWAY BY ALL MEANS - this place is the most awful nail salon I have ever been to in my 23 years of life. I paid for a manicure and pedicure and I could have painted my nails at home with more TLC. Three different people worked on me because every time a new person walked thru the door they would get up and wait on them, leaving me and others sitting around for 10 minutes at a time. They do no base coat, no cuticle cutting, no massaging of hands or feet. Literally a coat of paint and a clear coat on top (which I was honestly surprised they even did). They rushed through the whole process ... and when I went to dry my nails under the UV light they let me sit for 2 minutes before spraying my nails with some sort of hair spray and collecting my money, shooing me out of the store afterwards. I was so disappointed with the experience because I was on vacation and was there looking to pamper myself - Instead I left almost in tears. My nails chipped off within 24 hours and I ended up just removing the polish. I wrote this review because if I can save at least 1 person who may be in my shoes from making this mistake then I will be happy. If at all possible, get your nails done before travelling to the area. I wish I could give no stars but that is not an option..... read more

I've been going to Natural Nails for about 15 years. Holly and Joe were the mom and son team who started the salon, but now Holly's daughter manages it and Natural Nails is better than ever. She has upgraded the services (love the new pedicure packages) and added new equipment bringing this salon up to date. She also has more technicians so if you have to wait, it's not very long. I've never seen a staff so conscientious to make sure the salon is as clean as possible and the clients are as happy as possible. They go over and beyond to make sure you keep coming back. Upcharged for sure!!! I wanted a gel powder manicure, SNS or similar.It wasn't listed but when I inquired I was told that they could do it. When I sat down they asked me where I was from and how much I pay at home. I answered honestly that I am from LI, NY and that I pay between $30-35. Then they said it's $45!!! I said I thought that was pricey and they told me it was beach prices! I agreed as I was down two nails. Half way through they asked me if I was going to pay for the rest of my party and I said no, separate. A few minutes later I was asked to wash my hands and when I went back to my seat someone else was in my seat and my bag and phone were still there. I asked if I was done and they said yes! No lotion, no hand massage, no goodbye and thank you for coming! So I went and sat with the rest of my party and a few minutes later they came up to me and asked if I was going to pay. I felt like they thought I was going to try and dash. In my opinion they should have told me I was done and walked me to the register. The whole experience was less than ideal. I did not like the shape of my nails and had asked about adding a tip to one but it was never fixed. One nail split two days later!!! Save your money. I took the trouble to call and make an appointment, no one seemed to remember or notice. I got the worst service ever, and it took almost 90 min for a basic mani/pedi - that looked horrible. Filing was awful, almost zero cuticle and nail trimming, terrible paint job, wrecked before I even left. Most ratchet mani I've ever gotten. I had to ask no less than 4 times to fix mani, and then another lady came over and did a marginal job. Trust me, don't waste your time or money. I'm annoyed that I even paid $40 for the service. I have been to this salon 3 times and loved it. But this time I was unlucky enough to get Lena. She seems to be in a bad mood to begin with and it went down hill from there. I do the powder gel nails as my nails are thin and fragile. She filed them too short, then she used the drill so hard on my pinky that it hurt, and I reflexively jerked from the pain causing the drill to nick both me and her. She was furious and blamed me for jerking and causing the nicks. I tried to tell her she hurt me and that's why I jerked. She wouldn't listen and said the jerk caused the nicks which I knew, but the drill pain caused the jerk which she wouldn't acknowledge. This occurred on a Friday. By Monday two of the nails were already splitting and ragged on the edge. They usually last between 3-4 weeks. By Wednesday I returned hoping to get someone else to fix them by redoing the powder. Lena, who is perhaps one of the owners, looked at my two nails and roughly filed them down even more instead of fixing the problem. My pinky nail is so short now it hurts to touch the end because there is no nail left to protect the skin. When I said you aren't going to fix them? She said this fixed it. I left and will NEVER go back. I had recommended the place to friends who now have been told DON'T GO THERE! It's a shame because the other employees there have been very nice, gentle, and pleasant, and do good work. Lena's ugly behavior ruined it. nail tech talked me into gel nails, said he had my color choice in gel. Was NOT the same color, too pink, not the ivory I wanted. He also did a very sloppy job, painting gel on my cuticles. Definitely would not recommend this nail salon while in obx. I came here as part of my Bachelorette with seven other girls. I stayed at the salon for over two hours for a mani and pedi that didn't even turn out nice. The guy doing my nails was so rough that he cut me twice and left me bleeding around my nails which seeped into the nail Polish (I wanted French tip with grey glittery polish) so of course you could see the red in the Polish. I told the guy what I wanted and even showed a picture, but he didn't understand what I was saying. In fact, I don't think he spoke much English case he kept saying yes, but didn't do what I requested. I don't care if you can't speak english, but please know what you are doing. We got to the salon at 5pm and I didn't leave until 730... That is ridiculous. I left paying for crap nails and I will never be going back. To be honest, they didn't even open up a new clean set of nail supplies in front of me. I'll have to make sure my cuts aren't infected cause right now they are swollen and red.
