With everything going on with the pandemic, they were crazy busy but still squeezed 4 of us in. Even though we had to wait about an hour, at least they put us in the pedicure massage chairs for that amount of time so that we could use the chair. Not only did the nail specialists crack jokes, chat, and make the experience as fun as they could, but even though they were busy, they still took their time and didn't rush the pedicure one bit and THAT'S what means the most to me. Also, I have very small toe nails and Bailey took her time and gave detailed attention to them to paint them without making it sloppy like some nail salons. So thank you, Bailey! I wouldn't even rate this place one star I walked in and stood there for about five minutes before anyone said can I help you and it was someone from the back of the place . the music was loud and I felt like I was shouting over people so I didn't say anything I waited for someone to get closer. 10 minutes go by and another person comes up to me and asked me very rudely what do I want and when I said pedicure he pointed to a seat and I said no thank you . he said, no sit and I proceeded to ignore him. Another man came up to me and waved his hands in my face and proceeded to tell me "hello pedicure ?" and I said yes he says OK sit down and I said no I prefer to stand and wait. Didn't want to sit in the crowded waiting room. A small woman from the back comes up to me and proceeded to also wave her hands in my face and very rudely said "pedicure ?" and I said yes .she said okay we'll sit and I said no I prefer to stand for the last time .she says have you picked your color yet and I said no she goes well are you going to do you want this or not at that point I left. I was not the only person the staff was rude to while I was in there they barked orders at three different customers that walked in after me and told them all to sit down and was very rude to every single one of them. Chaotic experience. When I walked in I was immediately asked by someone what I wanted.I was there for a pedicure and was told to pick color. The wait after that was excruciatingly long.Eventually someone told me to go to the back. I sat there for about ten mins when a woman came to fill the basin with water. She left and I waited another 10/15 mins when a young man came to give me the fastest,most careless pedi I have ever had. It's a mystery why this place is super busy,considering the fact that you don't get attention,you have absolutely no idea how long the wait is and subpar service(nails look decent,rough skin and cuticles are still there) Considering I can paint my own nails,but like a professional pedi to get the dry skin around the nails of,this nailspa is a giant fail. read more

I visit the Outer Banks every year around Christmas time. I thought it would be nice to treat myself to a set of nails today. I've visited this salon in past years and it was great. This year was quite the opposite. I came in with a friend, they got started on her nails immediately. A girl that came in after me got her nails done & finished before I was acknowledged. The tech that did my nails was extremely rough, used a nail filer on my skin, didn't do anything but laugh when I told her I was in pain & continued. She claimed she couldn't make my nails shorter because then the shape wouldn't work. I am very unhappy with my experience here today. Won't be coming back. read more

The girls decided to do pedicures and this was one of the places recommended with competitive prices. The massage chairs were really nice and the staff seemed friendly, polite and fast. The best thing was probably the foot and leg massage with the mint scrub, so enjoyable. The nail painting was a bit rushed and after it all dried I noticed one of my nails was a bit uneven and some weren't painted on the tip. One of my friends got a basic manicure and wasn't impressed. There was no cuticle cream and while they lotioned her arms, they didn't do her hands. The job was a little tacky and when my friend asked her to fix one of them, the lady immediately asked if my friends had bumped it and messed it up. This place seems like it'd be a good for vacationers to do a quick mani/pedi. The experience is really going to depend on which technician you get. read more

No one was waiting when we came in. Sat down because the gentleman told us to pick a color. Waited 40 mins then got brought back. Got put into a chair with no water or bag in the tub. Waited 15 more mins with no one asking us for anything. The man opened clean tools in front of me and took his time. But for a $35 signature pedicure they didn't scrub all the dead skin, my feet weren't soft and luxurious , they didn't do hot towels, Didn't trim the cuticles, and didn't do a foot mask. The paint on my pedicure wasn't even and they skipped the bottom 1/4 of my nail. read more

I just walked out of this place, even though I desperately needed to get my nails removed, because the customer service is HORRIBLE. I waited around 15 minutes, which I didn't mind, but then was told to go sit at a station and someone would be with me soon. After waiting another 15 minutes a woman, that I believe is the owner or his wife, VERY rudely told me I needed to move and the wait would be another 30 minutes, because someone needs the station for a manicure. I understand a manicure brings more revenue than simply removing acrylics, but this is no way to treat your customers who are paying for any service, no matter what that service is. I ended up going to Nails by LT and am SO happy with that decision. read more

The place was really good. The issue that I had was they wanted to cut my toe nails even though I had said no and just wanted cuticles done, plus it irritates me to have them talking to each other without using English. Always feels like they are talking about the clients even if they are not. Wish more nail saloons would ask them to speak English only in front of clients. The lady that my daughter-in-law had was the best as she was interacting with us all and was very friendly. Wish I had gotten her name as she was the best and that is why they received a better tip than usual. With people not wanting to work, they seemed well staffed. read more

I went in everything fine- they sat me at a station giving me the impression I was going to be taken care of in a reasonable amount of time but after waiting 15 min I asked how long they said an hour. You don't do that to people you tell them! Shame on me for not asking right away but normally when you get seated right away you are taken care of right away! Other than the rude staff and lack of communication this place is not the best there are nicer people and place on the island! Not sure why this place has so many great reviews. Maybe it was just the manicurist I got. I got a powder mani and a standard pedi here. The pedicure was great, but I got a different woman for my manicure. She was very rough and actually grazed my cuticles with the rotary tool. My manicurist at my usual nail salon told me she'd really roughed up my nail beds with the tool too. When she was putting the polish on, she had to twist my nail way to the side. Then, when she was dipping my fingers in the powder, she would shake my hand because she didnt think it was relaxed enough. I have never heard that before! When I got home, the icing on the cake was that there were tons of white flecks in the polish that I hadn't seen in the salon and she'd actually painted over part of one of my cuticles. My new place. I've recently relocated to OBX and have visited three times to this business. I had Vivian, Mr T, Gino and Lena for hot stone massages and gel pedicures, and terrific dip manicures as well. They are very friendly yet professional and caring. They seem to go out of their way for each customer, which to me seems challenging with so many walk-ins, yet they're fair to each person, and accommodate as much as possible. My husband and I called this morning and got an appointment right away. We were very pleased with the bright clean atmosphere and friendly staff. We both got pedicures and manicures. The pedicure tubs were cleaned thoroughly before and after each client. My husband got the scrub during his pedicure and said it was amazing!! I went with the classic pedicure and shellac manicure. My nails look great! We will definitely come back! I highly recommend!!! I forgot to add that they have 2 adorable pink butterfly themed chairs for the younger girls to get their pedicures! This is a family owned business and they cater to families!! I will be bringing my daughter and niece when we come back to the beach in August!! Came in on a rainy day for a pedi. It was OK. Had to wait about 45 min but it was busy. Got the $35 pkg which included clay mask and callus remover. Again OK. Really the guy who provided the service didn't say boo to me the entire time. Looked out the front window throughout the entire service. The leg massage was weak. Really no effort put into it at all. Got the definite feeling the guy didn't want to be there. The paint job was so so. He didn't put on the toe separators so when I got home noticed polish on the underside of toes. Not going back. The place was very clean though. There was a definite preference to regulars coming in. Which is no surprise. Don't really recommend if you are visiting. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. If I could put no stars I totally would. First of all I showed them a picture of what I wanted which was pink and white with different black designs on it. I would've never asked for pink and white without the designs so when they told me they could do that I went with it. After he was finished painting he walked over to someone and then came back to tell me that NO ONE WOULD DO THE DESIGN! Not only that, but when I looked at my nails there was a black spot on one of the white nails (which also looked like the top was chipped off), a bubble on another white nail, one of the other nails was shaped super weird and crooked, and he cut my thumb! I was so upset i didn't know what to do so I paid for them and left without giving him a tip. After about an hour of calming myself down I went back and asked them to either fix it or give me my money back. They then proceeded to tell me that they could do the design but I'd have to pay for it. I told them I wasn't going to pay for something that they were originally supposed to do but didn't and that they had already messed up my nails. She told me they wouldn't do the designs unless I paid for it, and I said "fine, may I please have my money back" she then replied with "no we will not give you your money back." After arguing with her for a minute I gave up and left. I will never come back to this place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone after what they did. Worst experience at a nail salon ever!!! They didn't abide by COVID regulations, allowed for people to not wear masks properly or at all. They sat me right next to a stranger when I had come with a friend, and I counted 25 people when the door says 18 max. My nails and my friends nails (dip SNS plus length) both broke withum days of visiting the spa. The technician who did my nails gave himself a $15 tip when I asked for change. So I manage a hair and nail salon in raleigh and I do nails as well as mostly hair. I grew up on the outer banks and so we came down for a small get away. I'm getting my toes done and this nail tech beside me just took the buffer and pumice stone that was just used on me and is using it on this middle aged beautiful woman next to me. horrible place to get your nails done. came in to get a mani/pedi before my sisters wedding, pretty sure they found this guy walking around the parking lot and asked him to do nails for the day. spent about a minute only on my feet for filing , cuticles and buffing my toes. my feet look horrible. then when getting my nails done, he did another terrible job on cutting my cuticles and filing them. my nails aren't even smooth and i took the cuticle cutter to clip something he missed and he told me if i liked doing my own nails i should've done it at home. poor customer service and poor attitude. never coming back here again. read more

I have a bad habit of biting my nails low, Tony was so patient putting on acrylics and waiting the few times for my natural nails to grow out. Now they look beautiful! This place is awful. Awful awful awful. I have never been to a nail salon that pays such little attention to their customers. I requested a manicure with gel polish. The manicure lasted all of 10 minutes. They barely filed my nails. They did not buff my nails. ... No rubbing of my hands- no hot wash cloth - no trimming my cuticles. And to top it all of the gel started chipping after 2 days!!!! It was horrible and I would never go back to this salon. I have no idea how they stay in business.
