So yes, it is overpriced and underwhelming, since why try hard for tourists and overworked office personnel? Indoor and outdoor seating available galore. Modern, clean ambiance (best part of our experience here). The menu is typical western menu to please a bland pallet. Everything was bland. And I'm someone who doesn't go crazy with seasoning and spice (very conservative), so if I say the food was bland--it can't get any more devoid of taste and flavor. English breakfast was standard. Nothing to write home about. Same for orange juice. Omega 3 breakfast was lackluster. Everything was devoid of seasoning and flavor. How's that possible? Ingredients were good, but the dish just didn't work. What a shame. The power of salt and a little season cannot be overstated. The green smoothie was like juice--very watery. This restaurant was located across the street from our hotel. We walked by it many times, but did not consider it until the trip was almost over because we were over the 45 minute rides to go five miles to other areas of Central London to have a nice meal. The name Natural Kitchen had a nice healthy ring to it, so we decided to give it a try. The menu as a whole did not appeal to me, but I found a black bean burger and sweet potato fries on the menu, so I went with that option. The burger was not exactly what I expected. There was a huge piece of literal grilled cheese on the burger, which appeared to be the focal point of the sandwich. It was grilled to the point that I did not know what it was initially. I thought it was the black bean burger. Though the cheese was marinated to perfection, it was just way too much cheese for my preference. I removed the big block of cheese and discovered a small coating of black beans underneath. It was such a small amount of black beans that I wondered why it was included in the title. After removing the cheese, I made the best of what remained of the burger. The burger had good flavor, but not enough black beans. The service was decent. We chose outdoor seating, but it was surprisingly a little too cool for sitting outside on that late afternoon/early evening. I like this place, it was located in a hotel - but next to our hotel @ the Leonardo. Its also within easy walking distance to the Tower of London. I came here twice, once for breakfast, and also for dinner. For Breakfast, i got the British breakfast which wasnt truly authentic, but had good merit, with an overall good score for participation. I'm kind of a fan of baked beans which this lacked, but the sausage was pretty yummy. For dinner, I got the steak special which ran on deal where on Mondays and Tuesdays all steak items were 10GBP off, any cut too. I ended up getting the sirloin cut, which came with a side of homemade fries too. The entire meal was delicious, and they were open pretty late as well. I'd defintely come here again. read more

This restaurant can be found in the doubletree Hilton hotel in Hightower London. Very clean and simply lovely place for any occasion. Just let me say - if I was alone I would had gotten 3 for my self. It was super light which looks to be deceiving. Simply Fantastic ! It's a new item on the menu and it's a must try! I got to try the steak and like butter and now I know why people say how Europe has some the best restaurants in the world! I got the fish & chips - it was delicious but it had too much batter on it for me. Flavorful but I don't think I'd order it again. Service was not the best which I think doesn't serve the chef we'll be side it's all about the quality of service and the food is the prize! Service doesn't do this place justice. Get on it ladies ! Ok first let me say this is an American reviewing a London eating establishment so take this with a grain of salt... Located in the Double Tree by Hilton right near the tower this is a pretty good choice for a lite meal. The chicken bites from the appetizer menu are very good and a small portion is just right for quick snack. The best choice from the appetizer menu is the Hummus with pita. Very well crafted, presentation was great and flavorful beyond what I expected! They do add a gratuity to every bill which is listed on the menu in very small print so keep that in mind when you tip. read more

Pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! It was conveniently located in the Double Tree Hilton hotel which we were staying at. We ordered the small portion of nachos but honestly should have gotten the bigger portion because they were so good and the chips were so flaky and delicious! The second item we got was the fish and chips which were authentic and also YUM! Servers were good but it did take awhile for our food to come out. Ordinarily, I avoid restaurants in hotels because I feel they rarely capture local cuisine. Natural Kitchen isn't exactly British-heavy in terms of its menu, but it was a good meal in the chain-heavy neighborhood around the Tower of London. We initially sat outside but had to move inside. The outdoor layout doesn't make sense -- the non-smoking section is sandwiched in between the smoking section and the hotel entrance, where people were standing outside to smoke. When we inquired about a table away from smoke, we were told we had the only really options and that people weren't supposed to smoke in front of the hotel -- but there was zero effort to improve the situation. Once inside, our experience improved. They design is light and airy. Lots of large windows and the tables aren't on top of each other. It's the sort of decor that makes you feel like you're ordering healthy even if you're not! Fish and chips were good and the only opportunity I had in London to try them. While good, my sense is that there's better. Still, if you're spending time at the Tower of London and fancy a meal without the mobs of people you'll be spending time with at the Tower, Natural Kitchen is worth a stroll. read more

I arrived here at a busy time but the staff were efficient and I was seated quickly. The young waiter who served me turned up quickly and was very pleasant. He only looked about 18 but he was very good at his job. He took my order promptly and my food turned up quickly. I ordered fish and chips which was served with various dips and even a wedge of lemon imprisoned in a lemon squeezer. My main problem was that the chefs here fell into the trap of believing that if salt adds flavour then adding more salt adds more flavour. In this day and age we are becoming more aware of the dangers of salt in our diet. When I got home I couldn't stop drinking water. Please cut back on the amount of salt you put in your meals. I came here with my family because they have a lot of vegan options, as well as non vegan options. It's a good place for vegans and non vegans to eat together. I got the vegan burger which was good, but not the best vegan burger I've had. It was the type of patty that got mushed out the sides as I bit into the burger, which is not my favorite. Gorgeous little restaurant: big floor to ceiling glass windows looking out onto cherry blossoms (I think) in full bloom. Everything else is clean wood and the little box bouquet of fresh herbs on each table is a nice touch. I got the crab & crayfish linguine based on a solid recommendation, and it was all kinds of tasty, albeit it's like walking into a wall of cream. I flew into London today from the USA and this was connected to my hotel. Going in on a Saturday night, there weren't many guests - on one hand you can say that should be a warning sign but on the other this is a couple of blocks off of the main foot traffic areas. If you are in the hotel, please note this restaurant is not affiliated with the hotel and you can't charge your meal to your room. They also only take credit cards and no cash. The fish and chips were average, the Czech draft beer I had was good and the waitresses were friendly. This place will do in a pinch if you are in a hurry. read more

We had the bread service, a chorizo burger, mushroom soup and scampi popcorn which is little bits of fried fish kind of like a chicken nugget but seafood. Sauce was good. Mushroom soup was not bad but just wasn't what I expected. Normally we put cream in a mushroom soup but this one was just water and finely chopped up mushrooms with a sprig of thyme. This review is for service only. My wife was waiting for me to come back from a business meeting so she stopped in and asked for a hot tea with a cup of ice at the bar. The young man that helped her seemed very pleasant but the older gentleman behind the bar asked if they could stop doing take away. She was waiting on me and we were going to eat there when I returned but after his comment which was clearly directed at her, she decided to go to the lobby bar and have a beer there. It' a shame people have to be rude as she truly understands the service industry. frequent London with my job and. always stay at this Doubletree and perhaps would have spent a good chunk of pounds here. The Friday Night Special at Natural Kitchen's Trinity Square is Fish and Chips. While as much a staple to UK fare as hamburgers are to us in the US, as a regular traveler to London, I have had my share of the epicurean comfort food and this presentation and the taste were massive. An absolutely brilliant meal. As the picture shows, the piece of cod was huge (not a single bone to have to deal with), and placed on top of the hand-cut, homemade chips. A separate dish of mushy peas accompanied the meal, along with perhaps the best made from scratch (I asked) tartar sauce I have ever had. Service was very attentive and unlike some other places, the server actually spoke and understood English! Ask for Eva. She was really great. The entree came out quickly, but we were not rushed and enjoyed an outstanding meal. No good meal is complete without a proper sweet or pudding at the end. Natural Kitchen had several from which to choose. I had a plain dish of strawberry and vanilla ice cream...with the emphasis being on the "creamy." Delicious and a generous portion. The first time I went here it was a 5 star bonus surprise. Last time wasn't so good, but it still deserved 4 stars. Right now I've been sitting here for 26 minutes. It took over 15 minutes for someone to come and ask if I want a drink. 11 minutes later I had to ask one of the waiters what's going on. This is completely unacceptable as they aren't even that busy. So I'm dropping it to 2 stars. It's rather annoying that they stop serving brunch (breakfast) at 11.30am. This has thwarted me before as its become the norm in London to have a brunch past midday at most of the usual quality brunch spots. But then, they do call it breakfast here, which is correct and traditional but not in keeping with the 21st century :) On to the food then. What can I say? Everything is delicious. The only reason I am dropping a star is that I can't have it when I want to have it! The atmosphere is lovely; light and airy with high ceilings and a feeling of space.
