I expected a much higher level of care and accountability from a professional auto center. 1. Walmart's Auto Center in Centerville Worked on My Spare Tire on 07.22.2025 - I paid for a TPMS install on the spare. - They removed and reinstalled the spare as part of the service(after I removed my locked bike rack from the tow hitch in their parking lot for access purposes) 2. They Reinstalled It - Surveillance video appears to show the techs reinstalling the spare. - The techs did not appear to do a thorough visual inspection to make sure the retention plate was seated properly(contested by manager during my last visit) 3. The Tire Fell Off Later - The spare was missing nine days later. - I had to replace a small unrelated suspension link in my friends driveway the following week when I noticed my spare tire was missing - I didn't touch the spare at any point after the time of service and it is impossible for anyone to lower/remove the spare without removing a key-locked bike rack and opening the tailgate to access the winch cable lowering mechanism - There are no broken retention brackets, winch cables, or latches so it could not have occured due to a hardware failure. 4. The Only Plausible Explanation is that the Spare was Installed Incorrectly - The most logical and supportable conclusion is negligent installation (improper seating of the retention plate and "claw" at some point during cable winching process) - After stopping by Walmart to inquire more about the surveillance video, I inspected the retention bracket, cable and cable housing and then took measurements of the cable length and retention plate/spring. - I then prepared detailed illustrations of the aftermarket wheel/tire measurements as well as the cable and retention plate including the retention plate spring. - Returning again to Walmart to present the illustrations and measurements I had prepared to Tyson the manager. - I explained the only plausible scenario was an incorrectly installed spare as demonstrated in the illustrations . - I asked him if I could send him a digital copy of the illustrations and photographed measurements to submit a claim with Walmart. - The manager Tyson declined to submit a claim on my behalf so I took my Illustration and photographs and left. 5. The Resulting Financial Loss - This Spare was a brand new aftermarket $289 BF Goodrich All-Terrain Tire mounted on a $329 17" Method Wheel that was installed under the car as spare three years prior and remained in place until the time of this Walmart service - That's a ~$600 spare tire missing plus ~$50 of gas to make multiple trips back to Walmart's Centerville location to try and sort things out with Walmart's auto center manager. 6. Not My First Experience with Poor Service at That Walmart Autocenter - I also recently brought a Ford Explorer to this same Walmart Auto Center in Centerville to get two new tires installed - The one of the remaining tires was noticeably low when I brought the car in so I asked them to top off the tire pressure - They assured me they would check and top off all four tires as part of the service. - When they were finished installing the new tires I paid at the counter and then went outside to get the car and noticed the tire still looked low. - I talked to a tech at the open bay door and he graciously agreed to take a look - The tech said the tire was 15 psi below the suggested recommended amount and proceeded to top off the air pressure. While not a huge deal I am posting this because it's one of two services I had done on cars at this Walmart location that were sub-par. ** Illustrations and measurement photos available on my Google Reviews review.

Where they go to grab their Halloween candy when they run out, where they go to grab crudité for an impromptu get together, and where they bump into each other buying flour, which will be turned into cookies and eventually delivered to that same person who had a happenstance meeting together with them at this market. On a functional level, you need to know it's an Associated Food Stores property, so it feels more like those small town markets, but with all the stuff of that massive grocery co-op. Most people will tell you about the bakery here and I've had their stuff. Donuts, mostly. I'm a fan, that's for sure. It's not fancy, but it's good Americana stuff. I spent my time in the produce aisle today (after dodging reunions) and I think the selection there is just so-so. I had to go the market near me later tonight, and while the one I visited later tonight does try extra hard to have more variety and more price points, it was still evident that Dick's is far from a specialty market. That's okay. That's not what they want to be. They want to be a neighborhood market. Where neighbors meet and catch up, near the meat and ketchup.

BUT sadly about 5 months ago as I was checking out of course talking with one of many cashiers that I know, as I headed out the door, 2 managers I believe stopped me and told me that I wasn't welcomed at this Trader Joe's location. What ? Apparently one of employees said " I made them uncomfortable " Seriously ? For years, I have always lived with kindness, always saying hello and and maybe engaging in conversation if appropriate. Nothing else was exchanged as they followed me out the door. I always like walking around and seeing the seasonal products and trying the samples in the store. I know this sounds silly, but I get irrationally angry when I can't find the things I'm looking for. My kids know we don't shop at Smiths if we can help it be has nothing makes sense and I can't find what I want. But Lee's makes sense and when I can't find something there is always someone to help. They will even order things to keep in stock for you. I asked for a specific pasta years ago and a few weeks later they had it. They still carry it now! I love the deli and the bakery. Everyone is kind and helpful and everything tastes good. I love the meat department that prepares delicious meals I can take he and cook with no prep. They also always have time to help me find the right type of protein for my meal and are always so kind and happy! I love the man who always tells customers about the good deals or what's coming up on sale. Last year I was told he personally bought holiday treats for the kids so they could have something more than just a candy. He wanted it to be more festive! He makes shopping there feel like home. Overall the grocery store seemed to be very clean and organized. They had a fresh salad bar and soup can eat from. Lots of natural food choices and a big bakery. The lady at the bakery was very helpful and shared with me the different options I have for tiramisu. I could buy a single slice or a full cake. The only thing I didn't like is the person who served us was complaining publicly to the coworker. The cake was delicious though it wasn't like a homemade Italian tiramisu that our exchange daughter from Italy made but still worth every bite!
