This is still my favorite Smith's location near downtown. I would always shop here when I lived at Liberty Park. I will occasionally stop by here when I need something on the way to work at the U. I love that it's a marketplace, where I can find even things I need for home. They have a lot more selection too. It gets a little busier at times, but lines usually move quickly. read more

I love this Smiths location. The staff are so kind and helpful. Grocery pickup is accurate and fast, and the runners are friendly and gentle with groceries. The food I buy weekly is in stock and high quality. We get our annual shots in the pharmacy and we love the pharmacist! He is so good with our kids and is kind and patient. I went to this Smiths on July 30, 2025 in the morning. The Smith's store seemed well maintained, however the customer service is not ran well at all. I used to be a grocery store director, bad behavior trickles down from bad management. Savannah was our cashier. Before checking us out, I observed her with the customer ahead of me...No one smile, thank you, or eye contact, she acted very cold and unfriendly. She stated checking out my small purchase, she smeared and didn't greet me at all. She counted back my change quickly, I quickly counted it back to verify it was all accurate. She sighed and shook her head.....Didn't say thank you or goodbye. I watched her with the customer when I was taking off, the customer put her water on the convayer belt, she snapped at her and said leave it down! She didn't greet them or say hello either. This employee clearly is miserable doing her job. I don't think I'll come back to this Smith's. read more

Truly grateful for the cashier at this specific location. As embarrassing as I was I was short a few dollars and I took something out of shopping and PERSEPHONE THE CASHIER had the biggest heart and took out from her pocket a few dollars with no hesitation and i said it ok she still insisted. I was thankful just 45 cents short and she paid for it. This woman deserves a million hearts and just everything. She didn't judge but she kept a smile and helped me with paying it forward while the rest of the costumers stared me down. I'm so thankful for her sweet kind Gesture and will never forget her. This review is for the Starbucks inside of the smiths. I've been twice now and they've skimped my coffee both times. I ordered the cold brew and was wondering why it was shaken thinking "hmm that's weird, it's not supposed to come like that". Then this morning I ask for a cold brew not shaken (the way it should be) and there is only about half the coffee that's supposed to be in it. Unfortunately I was in a hurry, but I would avoid this place or make sure you get what your supposed to be getting. So this is not the closest Smiths to my house but it is the newest. And like most consumers I like new, clean, stores. They have a pretty big deli area with sushi, made to order sandwiches, a pizza oven and your usual meats and prepared salads. I enjoy the fact that they have an actual butcher counter so you can get a half pound of burger or 5 shrimp or two pieces of bacon, you get the idea. Another cool feature is self checkout lanes on both ends of the store. I pride myself on my self checkout skills. I can usually scan and bag my items quicker than the regular check stand. The employees have all been very friendly and knowledgeable about product locations. Overall a great new store for the area. read more

I'm leaving 1 star because they don't accept Apple Pay. They do have card readers capable of this. In fact Apple Pay did work at most Smiths locations when Apple Pay first came out. They later disabled it. Most other places do accept Apple Pay... Apparently Kroger doesn't care about the convenience of its customers. This is 2023 and I think I'm going to start shopping at Harmons, Lees, Lucky... or pretty much anywhere else, because they all support Apple Pay. I have tried Kroger Pay, but it's not very convenient to use and requires you to open an app which is painfully slow. I will revisit this if/when Kroger gets current. read more

Big, new, shiny store! Lots of checkout lanes, with self checkout conveniently placed both ends. The deli is massive. Fresh food, made to order. Nice, large seating area. They have a cheese island, a seafood counter, huge bakery and a large, flowy produce area. The meat selection seems endless. There's a big section set up for seasonal gifts, candy and decor. It's a nice in your face reminder if you're like me and forget what holiday is breathing down your neck. Despite the newness, my experiences have been pretty boring. I've been to this location about 8 or 10 times now and haven't had any interaction with any employees. I use self checkout each time, but I've walked by and stood next to plenty of employees and haven't been greeted or asked if I needed any help. I could initiate, but I like to see how long it takes. I was worried that the lackluster experience would transfer from the old store on 89 to the new one. It did. :/ I prefer the Smith's on 5th. Thursday 10/16 Smiths: Woods Cross, Utah I decided to shop at this Smith's to use a credit issued by Kroger after a Pharmacy nightmare. I had less than 20 items, so I decided to use go their the self- checkout. During the checkout process, the register malfunctioned and required assistance. The store employee approached my register. I expressed my concern about 6 feet of distance and cross contamination. Now, I understand she has a job to do, but I clearly expressed my concern about her coming in contact with my bags and items. She needed to count my items, AGAIN, I say, "I'm not comfortable with you touching my items. " I would have happily taken the items out of the bag, for her to visually count the items. She blatantly ignored my concerns, she took each item out, touching all my food and personal bags. She works in self-checkout. She's constantly touching screens, people's items, products, ect. I was very upset! She says, "I have a job to do!" I decide to walk away, before I tell her where she can stick that statement! I stopped by the Customer Service desk, I ask for the store number and leave with my items. I arrive home and decide to call the customer service line and file a formal complaint. My call is dropped three times by the #800, I couldn't reach an associate. I decide to wait until the morning. I call in for the 4th time, the agent takes my report and "escalated" the issue to a District Manager. We hang up and I decided to take my business to another Smiths. Friday, I go to the Smiths on 500 South. I end back up in the self-checkout line. Keep in mind, this is the same company, different location, different associate. The same EXACT thing happened! I even warned the associate about the day before. He offered to come spray my food with disinfectant, where he touched them. Are you kidding me? No, thank you! Please save that for items I'm not ingesting. I pay for my items and leave, extremely frustrated. I call the store directly, I speak with the store manager, Jessica! I have never spoken to a more rude individual. I tell her the situation, she doesn't say anything. I tell her, I'm going to call your District Manager and write online reviews, if you're not going to help me! I ask for her manager's name. She says, "I don't know his name!" I respond, "Jennifer, you don't know your own manager's name?" She says, "NOPE!" Then proceeds to tell me she doesn't have to tell me anything because I threatened her. I asked her specifically, when did I do that? What did I say? She responded," you threatened my staff by saying you're going to post a review online. " I'm thinking, no wonder the staff is dysfunctional, look at their leader. I have every right to free speech, I have every right to share the TRUTH with other customers. Just because she doesn't agree, doesn't mean it's a threat! I eventually terminate the call, she was full of piss and vinegar and poor management skills. I decide to call the corporate office, to speak with the District Manager. His name is, Jeff Tripp. Don't worry, he didn't return my phone call either. On my 7th attempt to resolve this issue, I called the #800, AGAIN! Beth, at the call center, said after a report has been filed against the store, nothing else can be done. I tried to explain that it was a different location, she said it was under the same management, so nothing else could be done! So, here I am, writing and sharing my experiences. Clearly, no one cares about following through, taking care of the customer or adhering to rules and regulations being implemented by the state of Utah! Save your money! Shop at Lee's or Harmon's, support local. Clearly, companies like this have lost all control of what should be common sense. read more

My wife bought me some Gift cards from this store. 2 of the cards didn't work. They replaced the cheaper card. The $25 Xbox card was declined within the store's system. Customer Service told us that there was nothing they could do. We called Customer Services for Kroger. Kroger saw the mistake told us to go back to the store with a Service Number and that a manager would help us. The manager refused to help even though we provided a code. Kroger finally resolved it by a mail refund. We will NEVER shop at this facility again. The staff was rude from the start and even had my wife in tears! read more

This Smiths in woods cross has the worst customer service of all the Smiths. Jimmy, (store manager) is the cause. I have asked him to improve the freshness of the salad bar. He just laughed. I have no control over the salad bar. He has no manager skills or customer service skills. He's a big laugher and smiles while he lays on the B.S. excuses why he can't do his job. This store has gone down hill in the worst way. Expired deli meats, you ask someone a question and they don't know the answer. Alway out of produce The kid in the meat department is as useless as a door knob on a post. Every time I ask him something the answer is alway no or I don't know. I ask him to find the answer if he doesn't know and his response is no one else is available to give him the answers. When they knocked down the Kmart they should have put a better grocery store here. Smiths/Kroger is horrible!!! read more

Being shiny and new is the main draw of this new location, otherwise this is similar in size and offerings as the Smiths Marketplace in Bountiful. My one note is that the meat section seemed larger and the makeup section seemed smaller. They do have an eat-in area that seems similar to Harmons (not as cozy) and there were a few people eating there. The handmade custom wood fired pizzas do seem like something to maybe try, as well as their poke and fresh sushi looked good. I want to try their online grocery service in the near future. read more

Smiths is a classic grocery store. Their gas rewards program make it well worth shopping there. For every 100 points, gives you 10 cents off per gallon of gas. Completing their shopping receipt survey gives you an extra 50 points towards the gas rewards program. read more

Love this Smith's location. The people that work at the meat counter are extremely nice. For years I was fileting my own chicken breasts that I would purchase (since they are usually so huge). I recently learned that they will cut up or slice any of their meats, free of charge, including packaged meats. Saves me so much time. All the cashiers in my experience have been attentive and speedy. I have not tried the clicklist yet but I have heard great things about it. My only complaint would be the navigating the parking lot. read more

Got home in time for dinner and something smelled way off, like rancid. I was in a hurry not sure what we were smelling and cooked it anyway but the family could not even eat it. I was really excited when they opened this Smith's up, because it's closer to where I live, and honestly who doesn't love a new grocery store? First of all, the store is massive. Which is great. But it's set up super bizarre. I've been here quite a few times now and gotten used to the layout, and still find it entirely confusing. Grocery stores are supposed to be set up a certain way - with fresh food and produce on the outside isles. Maybe they're experimenting and seeing if people buy more if they mix all the isles up? Not sure but it's really irritating, especially when you are super pregnant, with a screaming toddler just trying to find the freaking shredded cheese. (Which is on a random middle isle with the crackers if you're curious!) Their bathrooms are gross too! I've used them twice - the first time was the first week they opened and they were really clean. I used them a week ago and they were disgusting!! There was period blood (I hope?) splattered on the stall wall, toilet paper and pee in the toilets and the floors. SO GROSS. My main complaint about this store is that their produce sucks. The other Smith's on 500 S has this issue too. I have seen rotting veggies and fruits and even when I pick out unripe stuff so it will last me the week, it's moldy with in 2-3 Days. This last visit will be my final one unless I hear it has been resolved, but literally 90% of their sealed produce (cut up fruits and veggies) were PAST expiration. How does that happen? I tried to buy some baby carrots but literally every bag was slimy and had expired the day before! How?? I've bought carrots that don't expire for a month! The dairy isle was atrocious as well. Could not find a single gallon of organic milk (which usually doesn't expire for months) that wasn't expired or about to expire. All of their sour cream was discounted to 10 cents because it was several days past expiration. Their parking lot is always packed and this store is always busy so there should be NO reason why this is happening. I also did not see a single employee until I checked out. Smith's needs to get its act together! Not a fan at all! I'd rather drive farther to get better produce than shop here. read more

This smiths is really nice! The front end has changed staff recently and it's a joke, the managers pull baggers while they are bagging to tell jokes away from customers. The cashiers obviously can't leave the register so they apologize for the imature managers and baggers behavior, it is starting to make me want to go shop somewhere else. I want to see a front end of professionals that are happy to help and do their job not a couple kids fucking around while my wife and I bag our groceries and pack them to the car. read more

This store is a beautiful new store that is so large it reminds me of Costco. They have a great local made in Utah section that lets you get all of your locally made treats and goodies for friends and family at discounted supermarket prices. I bought Apple Beer, Miller's creamed Honey, Lehi Roller Mills brownie mix, Shirley's cake is a mug, and beautiful fruity pancake syrup for the great made in Utah display. If you need last minute yummy treats to take back home this is a great stop. read more

I am writing this email me due to the fact that I had the worst experience in your store and I have been shopping at smith's corporation for 10 years now. Today at 1:40 pm I showed up at your new store in woods cross, Utah to pick up our Click list groceries, when I arrived I called like the number says and one of your associates answered and sent somebody out to greet me, when the lady came out to my car she told me that my order was not ready and in conversation I was trying to get her to tell me when it would be ready & she could not give me a straight answer if it would be ready in 15 minutes, or 20 minutes or 45 minutes she did tell me that I could wait so I did so. When 2 o clock hit I called again and one of your associates answered and told me that they were still pulling my order and that it would be a little bit before it was ready because they had 40 plus orders so I said ok and hung up, 5 minutes after an associate came to my car her name was Tammy which she was wonderful and apologized to me that they had been taking so long and handed me some fruit and candy also telling me that they were understaffed and it was her day off and she had to come in to help fill orders. Then 2:30 comes around and my wife called wondering where I was at I had told her that the order had not been delivered yet, while on the phone with my wife Tammy comes out again and apologized that it was taking so long and that she was keeping an eye out for my order, at this time I informed Tammy that this was getting ridiculous because of the fact that I had been waiting sense 2 o clock and that you guys being understaffed is not my problem also that I spend 150 dollars a week in your store and more sometimes and if you total that up that is 7,200 a yr. At this point I wanted to speak to a store director so I got off the phone with my wife and walked inside I pulled one of your managers aside I believe her name was Reanate and explained my situation to her when she could tell how frustrated I was she put her hand on my shoulder and said lets go find out what is going on with your order, so she proceeded thru the Click list doors and asks where my order was at. By this time, it is 3 o clock and your Assistant Store director walks by looks at me and asks me "am I the one waiting for my order?" I replied "yes" and he responded saying "well we are working on it" & I told him no he was not, because if he was working on my order it would have been ready at the time that Smith's gave me which was between 2 & 3 o clock, when Jeromy responded to me he told me that he was going to have my ordered delivered to my house but sense I was being rude he was not going to do so. The minute that he told me that I was in shock I could not believe that he was acting like this whole thing was my fault, I asked him could he understand my frustration and he said yes, he could but his body language and his tone in his voice didn't come across that way. I was not able to speak to the store director which I was very displeased about one of the biggest things that I am very appalled by is that your assistant store director decided to argue with me instead of making it right regardless of my frustration your store gave me the time to pick the groceries' up not me and if it wasn't ready all you guys had to do was inform me that it wasn't ready and to come back at a later time or do something to make it right. But the fact that he decided to argue with me like it was my fault was very appalling. I do not know if I will be shopping at your store anymore I am so displeased with this experience that I will make sure that I will be telling everybody about my experience. This is the closest Smiths to my house and I shop at least once a week because of its proximity. The lack of gas station is the only really complaint I have. I have never had a bad experience. The customer service counter was very helpful when I had to do a large money order, she was kind and patient. I mostly use self checkout, but when I do go through the line, I never wait and the folks are pleasant. This isn't a big marketplace, so I have to go up to the Bountiful store for gas, clothing, household, outdoor, etc. read more

I have shopped at Smiths for years. Many years. I like the stores. But, their coupons and sales are very complicated. I think their dishonest. I'm simply over charged sometimes. And, the coupon deals purposely try and rip you off. The stores look nice and are big. The deals seem good but, they definitely rip you off. I have talked with store management and Kroger customer service. They're nice but it just the way it is, "they say." I have a bunch of new choices in my area and plan to switch. read more

I absolutely love this Smiths. I read other reviews that said the sales are confusing, the store layout is confusing, bathrooms are yucky, produce is bad, poor customer service... this is the furthest from the truth. I find everything I need here; I have had to ask workers a couple times for things, they knew right where the items were and happily showed me where. You won't find friendlier checkers anywhere else. I don't use self check out very often because the checkers are so great. They brighten my day! I almost always have my toddler with me and they always offer her a snack and ask if I need help out to my car. I've gone to the customer service desk multiple times when something didn't ring up right and they fix it with out any problems. And the sales are the easiest thing to follow. Example: Buy 5 participating items, save $5, can't get much simpler than that. I also love the digital coupons: Download the app, link your card, push a button to add coupon to your card, boom. Done. The coupons automatically come off at check out when you buy the items. I've never used Click List, but that is because I like to pick out my own stuff and I like browsing sometimes. And the produce (and everything else I buy), I'm satisfied with it 99.9% of the time. Yeah I've seen expired bagged lettuce before, and guess what? Instead of complaining about it on yelp, I kindly nudged the worker who was filling the bananas to let them know. And he said, "oh thank you so much for pointing that out, we'll take those down right away." Poof. Bad product gone. Sometimes things aren't always perfect, it's easier to help out rather than complain about it and feel personally picked on... I have used the women's bathroom once, it was clean. And the "tell an employee" trick works too if that bathroom isn't clean. I bet you they'll get right on it if you let them know... I've never eaten at the deli, but there is a wide variety and I'm sure there's some great stuff. I've been to the pharmacy as well and have all good things to say there too. Smiths is apparently having to scrape the bottom of the barrel to get people hired at its new store. On one occasion I asked a worker where something was. He said "I don't know" then walked off. Real nice. On another, I stood for 5 minutes in front of the lady running the self checkout because she was the ONLY Smiths worker I could find anywhere and I had to ask her a question. So I sat there and stood in front of her well within her view as she chewed out a bagger for making a mistake. Anyone with the merest common sense in social etiquette would have stopped and addressed the customer's needs. Oh the irony of this ignorant woman telling another employee how to do her job as she completely ignores a customer. I really wish a Harmon's had come here instead. read more

I have really enjoyed this new Smith's! I started shopping here once they opened up. There were a few bumps along the way while first using Clicklist, but I have been impressed with how they have recovered. I can tell their team is working hard and doing their best to serve us. I have tried for 3 Sunday's in a row to buy frozen orange juice pulp free. Each Sunday they only have approximately 6 cans that are STUCK to the shelf because it would appear that a frozen can of cranberry or something else red has thawed and left a mess on the display case. I have been told that someone will clean it up and that doesn't seem to have happened, then today I got told basically that they are all sticky. Sticky maybe, but stuck to the display case I think not. Maybe if the "manager" (I presume she was some sort of management because she wore a grey shirt) would just go look she might get a clue. This store has gone down hill to the point of not much better (except newer and bigger selections) than the one it replaced. I will go somewhere else to get my groceries and spend my money in a more favorable place. Am going to go to Lees and see if they have "sticky" orange juice. read more
