Sprinkles Donut Shop - Rockford, Michigan A Sweet Stop That's Totally Worth It!…read more Sprinkles Donut Shop in Rockford, MI is a small, family-owned place that makes fresh, handmade donuts every day. It can be a little tricky to find -- my map sent me in circles and even through a gas station! The shop is tucked inside the same building as a Subway, but don't let that fool you. The donuts are amazing. When I walked in, everything was super clean, and the staff greeted everyone with big smiles. The donut selection is smaller than big chains, but every single donut looked fresh, neat, and delicious. I picked up a half‑dozen for under $10 (such a good deal! ) to share with my daughter... and maybe my son if he shows up. Here's what we got: * Apple Fritter - Crispy, full of apples, and covered in shiny glaze. So good. * Maple Cinnamon Roll - Soft, sweet, and one of the best I've ever had. The maple frosting is amazing! * Two Chocolate Cream Long Johns - Long, chocolatey, and filled with smooth cream. * Lemon Bismarck - Soft donut with bright, tangy lemon filling. Not too sweet! * Chocolate Bird's Nest - Chocolate frosting, colorful sprinkles, and a cute cream "nest." Fun AND tasty! The only downside is the distance -- if this place were closer to Cedar Springs, I'd be in trouble. (Seriously, a little popup case at the American Legion would be perfect for coffee runs! ) Bottom line: Sprinkles is fresh, friendly, affordable, and full of heart. Treat yourself to some donut happiness!

This review is solely on my experience and not the integrity of the bagel itself. I was fascinated when a colleague recommended this place in Rockford for breakfast and I had no idea what to expect when I pulled up to an old home. When I walked in, I was greeted with delicious coffee aromas being ground while people were buying pounds of fresh ground beans. I was confused about the ordering process, but friendly customers explained the procedure. First, you get in line and pick your drink and order a customizable bagel. I picked a sandwich because I was hungry, so I opted for a full on sandwich. I chose an onion bagel with house-made smoked and sliced roast beef, egg, pepper Jack cheese, horseradish sauce, onion, tomato, and lettuce. Yum! The bagels are homemade and on the smaller side so I was able to scarf down the whole sandwich whilst enjoying a large NOLA coffee brew. All of this came to under $10. A great value and interesting experience. After, ordering you can find a seat and they come find you to come back to the counter to pay. You only pay when your food is ready. Then its cafe seat yourself territory. They also have random items for sale and interesting curiosities hidden in the nooks and crannies of this space. Certainly worth a visit based on vibes and price point alone. the food did not disappoint. Smoked meats for the win!

Always some seasonal roasts too plus a confectionery and bakery . All meats cooked on the egg , take and bake meals too , burritos and shellfish pie ! There's a grilling section featuring spices as well as green egg accessories. It's so many things that we find ourselves going often even for a bagel or bagel dog ( good enough for Ginger Zee to serve at her wedding ) if you haven't been you need to go !

If you're fully understanding that this place will be packed, overpriced and a tourist trap, then…read moreyou should be fine. Our blood pressure immediately rose seeing the semi-organized chaos. We have done many farms/orchards and this one was bottom of the list unfortunately. We dropped by the winery and it felt like you were transported to a 2004 club with the tacky lights mixed with a clammy dungeon feel. Although it was $10 for 5 tastings, the ambiance negated the price. (The only decently priced feature.) If you have kids, they will for sure be stimulated and you're good to go. But otherwise for adults that want delicious cider, donuts and a calm u-pick experience, check out Famhaus Farms for a cleaner and more serene experience.

Robinette's featured a small kids play area, apple picking, hard cider/wine in the bottom of the barn (note that alcohol cannot leave this space), a farm store, apple cider pressing on site (loved seeing this firsthand!) and a bakery with classic items like apple fritters and donuts. We grabbed an apple cider slushy and enjoyed some time in the playscape as well as a walk through the orchard. It was quite busy during our visit. Too bad you can't bring the alcoholic beverages out of the space. They also had a handful of farm animals in a petting area which was great for the kiddos.

They have the donut case that has all the classics and then some. They had cookies, breads and other baked goods prepackaged for sale, too. Cooler of beverages next to a cooler with cold items like cakes. I think they had other knickknacks for sale, too? Not sure if it was Tom behind the counter who helped me, but whoever it was was very kind and welcoming. I grabbed 3 blueberry donuts and one paczki (because it was Fat Tuesday and it felt like a crime it I didn't). My two boys and my husband devoured their donuts this AM and really liked them! They split the paczki btw the 3 of them and they thought it was delish. I always forget about Tom's but it is so close to our house, I need to make a point to remember to stop in more often. Love little hometown bakeries and Tom's fits that bill!
