The use of the word "paperwork" came from someone on your team when I called, so I won't be bullied into taking down a correct review. This is exactly what your website says: "Round and heart cakes include 3 layers of cake and 2 layers of buttercream filling," so I used the term filling correctly as well. If you can spend this much time on the details to dispute a review, I would have preferred that you did this with the cake order instead. The whole process with our wedding cake was super easy with DreamScape! I provided several photos not totally sure of what we wanted, and they helped us go through our options and costs. The tasting portion was also nice because they give you tiny cupcakes of several flavors - that way you're not wasting a regular-size cupcake if you don't like the flavor. And there are so many flavors to choose from! We had someone make figurines of our two dogs and ordered our own cake topper, and DreamScape did a great job with them. They even scrapped off some of the frosting and put it on the dogs' noses to look like they were eating the cake. So cute. We got the strawberry shortcake flavor in our top layer, and it was delicious! Overall, great experience. read more

I placed an order for a smash cake and a party cake for my son's first birthday. DreamScapes came highly recommended by 2 people.. so i had high hopes and expectations. They are not easy to get a hold of via email... took a long time inbtw communications. They are pricey, too. The smash cake i ordered was okay. Not super stunning and not all that exciting, but i ordered it plane white buttercream/ rough texture with a bright green inside. Inside was more forest green, no big deal. Outside was not very pretty... My real disappointment came when i picked up the cake for the party and the cupcakes. I had sent over a copy of the invite for the party.. and was detailed in what i wanted for it. It was nothing close and looked very poorly done - very amateur. Tacky, even!? It was quite the joke at the party. Even those who had HIGHLY recommended Dreamscapes were appalled. The animals on the cake were cracking (even when i picked them up) the leaves were tacky, the cake was put on a tray that was wrapped in Christmas like foil.. just not what i had imagined or wanted- not did it match the invite at all. The cupcakes were fine, but i asked for them with just a plain frosting.. i was adding a topper to them. Flavors were fine, everyone enjoyed the flavor... i found some of the cake to be a bit dry. cupcakes were good as far as flavor and moist. I would not recommend if you were looking for a very elaborate/ skilled cake. read more

Cake was dry and tasted nothing like the sample cupcakes that we also had to pay for because we weren't told that they give you only 6 random flavors so to try the ones we wanted had to make another trip and pay 30. Then after we already pay our deposit they add on 125 service fee for delivery and setup which doesn't include a box for the cake or serving the cake like we were told. My 500 cake was dry and I didn't get a to go box she insisted I had to make the middle layer styrofoam otherwise she couldn't make the size/shape I wanted which was ridiculous it was a basic 3 tier cake for 60 people. Overpriced and dry looked okay but Walmart could've made the same cake in my opinion nothing special at all or worth all the hassle. read more

Delicious and beautiful cakes! We ordered an egg, dairy and peanut safe Birthday cake for our daughter who is alergic. In addition we ordered a smash cake and an individual cake for her so we could take pictures of her. They were so accommodating and the cakes turned out tasty and beautiful! I bought a cake for my sisters birthday from here last summer - when looking through the pictures on the website I saw this fruit pizza & knew my sister would really enjoy that so I ordered it. After I emailed my order I wrote back & asked to change the flavor of the cake (within a day of the order) and was told that would be fine. When I picked up the cake it ended up being what I had originally asked for which kinda bummed me out a little. It was still decent. What I wanted was covered in fruit. Each fruit individually for me to arrange in whatever way I chose. I would have preferred that the fruit was already arranged or at least to have been asked what I preferred but it all worked out in the end. I ordered some peanut butter chocolate cupcakes with a sports theme for my nephew recently & they were tasty. When I asked to change my delivery date because my nephew was going on a Mission trip they were very obliging, going past the date on my Living Social deal for delivery which I really appreciated! She works out of her home which I didn't realize at first so don't be surprised that you are going into a residential neighborhood if you are picking up your order. We first tasted mini cupcakes at a wedding show. We had gone to several and tasted many cakes and this was by far the best we had tasted. We signed up immediately. When we had decided on a cake, I showed a picture of one I found on the internet that I loved. I asked if she could do this cake. She said she could without a problem. It was a fairly simple cake. Communication at first was great, but when it started getting closer to the wedding, communication fell short. It sounded like the business had a lot of changes going on and there were many things going on so I would have to wait weeks to hear anything back with questions. I had to beg several times for our bill so I could pay before the wedding. I finally had to ask how I know that this baker would spend the time needed to make my cake. I was rest assured that she would make my cake perfect and would have plenty of time that is needed to make the cake perfect. When it came to the wedding day, I saw my cake. It was very shotty work. The frosting was not smooth at all, the detail on the cake was not at all what was in the picture that I showed her. I haven't said anything, but when I look at my pictures I see this cake and I am so disappointed in it. When my husband and I did the cake cutting we cut the first piece and it was nothing but frosting. The cake had frosting on it at least an inch thick. The strawberry lemonade cake that I wanted, turned out to be just an overpowering lemon cake with a ton of thick frosting on it. The cake turned out very dense. It was moist. It did not taste anything like all of the tastings we did. We did order various mini-cupcakes though and I must say, these were fabulous. Everyone devoured the mini-cupcakes. The wedding cake did not get eaten and actually was thrown away. We saved none of it. The rootbeer float cupcakes and the sea salt caramel cupcakes were out of this world. They were beautiful to look at. Definitely not worth the money spent. read more
