Count your donuts!!! I bought 7 donuts and only got 5, but I didn't realize it until after I got home. I am assuming she charged me for all 7. The lady didn't offer a receipt and I didn't think to ask, so it was my mistake. After spending $19 I am blown away that I didn't even get what I ordered. $19 for 5 donuts is highway robbery. Plus, they were shut down in April 2025 by Sacramento County for a massive rat infestation. Looks like they just changed the name and continued business as usual. I was staying a near by hotel and needed donuts so I wouldn't show up empty handed at a brunch. This is a no fuss, affordable and delicious donut shop. They were out of drip coffee but there is a Starbucks inside the Safeway in this large shopping center. I took a variety and 2 dozen donuts and paid less than $30 which is pretty good coming from the bay area. I loved their old fashioned blueberry donut. Randomly craved donuts after work and was happy to find this gem just down the street from me. Came here around 7:30-8am on a weekday and there were plenty of donuts waiting to be devoured. I work nights and appreciate finding spots that are open when I get out in the early AM. There were a few people already in line to grab stuff otw to school and/or work. And there were two young staff members who were very welcoming and attentive to their customers. Plenty of selections to choose from. I opted for a dozen donuts and each one was delicious. It was about 1-2ish and they had 1 tray with the donuts no one buys. Disappointed, but looked forward to next time! 3rd return 3pm! No donuts!! I was informed after asking when is the best time to catch a variety that they are made early like cooks begin at midnight or something and then they are done, well the mixing and baking happens over the next 6-8 hours then the donuts are out! I came from the Bay Area to visit some friends that live in this area. Our friends kept raving about a crème brûlée donut here. It was love at first bite and as soon as you get to the middle of the filling, your eyes just roll back! I called into the store right away and placed a dozen order with Vanessa! She told us that it'll take her around 10 minutes to make and we rushed on over!! We got there and she was torching the top of the donuts and omg, she was the sweetest!!! She offered the 4 of us to try their secret menu drink which was an iced Matcha Thai Tea!! It was soooo good!! I hope that with this rating, they'll put that drink on the menu!! Their croissant donuts are addicting! They are the size of a glazed donut but are layers of delicious croissant that is glazed. They also have croissant donut holes per se (mini croissant donuts) that are easy to share and the perfect treat for a quick indulgence. The place is family run and the staff are all so friendly! What's right is that they are Deliciously addictive!! Ohhh those glazed doughnuts and their cinnamon roll. Mmmm. Glazed twist, cinnamon roll, jelly filled, chocolate glazed... all fluffy and airy with that gorgeous kiss of glaze on top which dries perfectly with slight crackling with no sogginess which is a tell take sign of excess. Yes sometimes too much is too much. And get this, their version of a cinnamon roll is more glazed doughnut versus cake like and is not overly glazed as the baked versions. It's soooo good. Ok enough about my ode to their glazed doughnuts. Their old fashions and cake versions, apple fritter are not too shabby. Tasty. Absolutely no complaints. This shop is a walk in, pick out what you want, and leave to eat in peace kind of place. No Instagram worthy wall art, no dine in tables (but plenty in the outdoor shared plaza)... instead you got real honest to truth fresh, great tasting doughnuts made in a clean establishment and served up by the kindest hardworking folks. My wife is pregnant and has been craving donuts for the longest time and she always asks for Krispy Kreme but as we all know, it's rather far from the Natomas area. So my lazy ass did some digging and found this place. Boy oh boy... It's not wonder they run out of donuts so early in the morning! Lol I came here straight after the gym and luckily they had some left! We got as you can see, a bunch of chocolate, maple glazed and the sprinkled ones. They were all super fluffy and fresh! The best one that I didn't take a photo of was their bear claw... My goodness was that thing massive and not only that, it was SCRUMPTIOUS!! I only meant to take 1 bite but ended up taking out all 3 claws lmao. Definitely the new go to spot for us if we want donuts but I would recommend either calling in to make sure they even have any left or just head out there super early to make sure they have some left and they'll be extra fresh! I'm normally not a donut fanatic like that but these were way better than any Krispy Kreme donut!! Worth taking in those calories lol. We will definitely be coming back here in the future! After 3 and a half years with my previous employer, I received a promotional opportunity that I could not decline. Although I was ecstatic about my new role with my new employer, I was sad to leave a team of good people (which is a blessing because we have all worked with people that we couldn't stand) and a program that provided an impactful service to the community. On my last day heading into the office, I made a quick detour into a nearby shopping complex. Initially I thought about playing it safe by purchasing a coffee traveler and some bagels from Panera. However, I figured that on my last day I should be a little naughty, so I opted for donuts. When I walked into Natomas Donuts I was immediately greeted by one of the three employees simultaneously moving in a frenzy to fulfill in-house orders (and probably some orders that were called in). Being that it was a Friday, there was a line almost extending to the door. However, the staff were so efficient that the line quickly dissipated. Also, I noticed that not a single customer entered the building without being acknowledged. Being that I'm not a donut guy (I love cookies), I was unsure of the kinds of donuts that are popular with the masses. When it was my turn in line, the employee warmly greeted me, and I requested that she assemble an assortment of two dozen of the most popular donuts. After giggling about my lack of "donut knowledge", she began frantically dropping donuts into two large boxes. Because you should never forget to treat yourself, I requested that she place a blueberry frosted donut with sprinkles (because blueberries are healthy right?) into a separate bag for me. After confirming that I was ok with the assortment, we slid over to the cash register. Natomas Donuts may not offer the specialty donuts that some shops offer. However, the family owned vibes paired with the exceptional customer service experience, gives them an edge over the competition. My blueberry frosted donut with sprinkles was scrumptious and my now former colleagues finished 24 donuts before noon arrived (which is an indicator of the level of deliciousness). Last year I placed an online order for work. I ordered about a dozen and a half. The online process was easy and pickup was easy as well. Today I went in because I was craving carbs and sugar. I got a salted caramel mocha, maple bar, chocolate coconut and a blueberry buttermilk bar. I had a bite of all three and omg I forgot how good and fresh these donuts are! They are 100 times better than grocery store bakery donuts. I also appreciate how nice and patient that staff is when I come in.
