She was truly dedicated to the success of our wedding making sure we were stress-free the entire time. And I must add she is extremely creative! The owners (the Klauses) were also extremely diligent and genuinely cared that we would have the most amazing day. They are the kindest and most gracious people you will ever meet! The location/venue was perfect! I mean the view overlooking the lake was breathtaking! And it wasn't the only spot that was beautiful. Every inch of that property was gorgeous. It felt like I was in some magical land that I couldn't imagine even in my wildest dreams. I mean, our photographer was so inspired she kept finding great places for us to take pictures. Shout out to Renee as one of the Vendors too, she was handsdown one of the best decisions we made regarding the wedding. You will regret not booking her for your wedding/event. This was truly a memorable day and a huge reason for this was the people involved and the location. We didn't have to worry about random people showing up to our intimate wedding like I've seen happen at other venues. It was spacious enough to for a large wedding party without sacrificing comfort, we loved that we felt tucked away into nature while still having "city accommodations". And I must add, the view from the casita is unmatched. Best view on the property. I loved that it served as my bridal suite! I can't say enough about Airola Vineyards. Truly, our wedding was just enchanting. While our guests were originally skeptical about the location (many had to drive 8+ hours) once they arrived they all thanked us for the invitation because it meant they were in such a beautiful location. I'm surprised this place isn't better known and while I want to be selfish and not the let the secret out, I would be doing humanity a disservice if I didn't shout Airola Vineyards' (and it's staff) exceptionalism from the roof tops. That property and views are gorgeous but it is seriously a good thing this is Venticellos last wedding season! Thank God for amazing friends and family of the bride for pulling together what was a cluster F@&$. Don't advertise yourself as a one stop wedding venue if you can't even make it a Priority to have the venue clean and ready to receive guests. Yes there were some stressful conditions in the area but you had two and a half days to get it together. I can only hope this was a learning experience for the whole venue crew and that you take those lessons of what NOT to do and how NOT to treat people. You represent a Small community that has a lot of heart. Make it count!

Have you ever wanted to rent an entire hotel? Complete with a very private outdoor venue, a real…read morebar (saloon?) and a fully equipped commercial kitchen... We were looking for a safe and fun place for a family reunion. Somewhere I could actually bring all of our extended family.. (even those country ones you can't be seen in public with, lol) Found this amazing hotel online and can't say enough great things about it. Karl, our host disappeared after showing us all the amenities. He lives nearby and showed up swiftly when I had trouble lighting a fire in the living room. We had 6 kids that had their own suite area away from the adults. Thankfully there was wifi internet for them when they tired of playing outside. We had such a stellar time there at the historical wild west Avery hotel with no one looking over our shoulders ;) The big trees nearby were awesome too. My skiing fam hit the mountains not far away. Plus an Italian restaurant, a live entertainment bar, and cute lil coffee shop all in walking distance. The town of Murphy's was super cool also. I'm guessing they book up fast with the weddings and stuff. Don't hesitate!

We were…read morelucky to have found this place by just pure searching for unique wedding venues and when we saw this place... we knew it was special. This venue has beautiful charm and good bones. It just feels like you stepped back in time and we really enjoyed that. Carl and all the staff connected with Avery Hotel have been nothing but accommodating to us. They were always willing to listen to any questions we had and were always checking in along the way. The freedom of the venue really pulls you in because it offered that blank canvas of possibilities and that is what we wanted because I love a challenge and had a very clear image of how I wanted my wedding to look like. They have extra decorations for you to use, endless linens, all shapes/sizes of plates, cups and bowls. You do need to clean up after yourself but that's the easy part. Now Carl, deserving of his own paragraph... he really takes care of you and checks up on you especially when it is week of. He was kind enough to let us come in earlier on check in day and greeted us as we pulled up ready to help in any way we needed. He gave us a quick tour and stepped away to let us have our special private weekend! We did have to text him a few times and was always quick to respond. Again, thank you Carl and staff for a beautiful and memorable venue.

Recently played 3 rounds here this past weekend, and had an absolute blast. My parents have a house…read moreon the course, so it's been a course we've gotten to play a ton, and it's a good challenge for all skill levels. They are currently going through another ownership change, but from what the pro shop guys have said, it's all good things coming. The greens have some crabgrass issues, but other than that they are rolling pretty good. The greenside bunkers have gotten much better over the past few months, but the fairway ones still need some work. Since the new ownership change, the tee time pricing is now dynamic. We called to make a reservation instead of booking online, and that was a mistake. Definitely check online for the best price as most of the prices were cheaper than what we ended up paying. Twilight starts at 1pm, and honestly $75 with a cart is a solid deal. 2/3 rounds I played this past weekend were under 4 hours. 4th of July the course was empty and made for a very enjoyable round. The one area the course as a whole can improve on is the food at the clubhouse. Not sure if there's been change, but the food has been real bland the last few times. It's pricey as well, which makes us want to pack a lunch instead of buying it on the course. Lynette the bartender is the best though! Overall, excited to see how the new ownership improves the course over the next few months and beyond and can't wait to be back up to play again. This course is truly a hidden gem that's not too far from the Bay Area

We thoroughly enjoyed the layout and our time there. I want to come back in a year and see the results of the restoration of the course. Our major concern was the dead spots on the greens -- in a year they should have the greens in prime condition!
