Pretty Average. I came here for the first time for lunch. It looked like your average American restaurant similar to BJs/Applebees/etc. I was surprised to see that they had lunch specials: $7 for a burger and fries and ~$10 for a dozen wings. Not a bad deal, too bad the food was just okay. The burger was small and average. The fries needed more seasoning. One person could finish the entire meal and still be hungry. I ordered 6 BBQ and 6 Honey Hot. The wings were so small and had such little meat, but maybe I'm just used to my plump hormone injected wings. The taste was alright, nothing exciting. Though I will recommend the Honey Hot - sweet with a very VERY mild kick. Kudos to our server (I didn't catch his name :( ) but he was AMAZING! I had such a great experience at Native, it was a little surprising. I went here with a couple of friends to watch a World Cup semifinal match and we received excellent customer service on top of a great lunchtime deal. First about the deal - when you buy a drink, wings were only 35 cents from opening to close. My total lunch bill was like $8 and I was STUFFED. How can they afford to sell at prices so low?! Now about the service - our waitress Rachel was the best waitress ever. She checked in frequently, made sure we were able to take advantage of ever deal available, anticipated when we would be needing a refill, and made sure we wanted for nothing. This is my third visit to Arizona and my second time coming to this restaurant and I was a little disappointed. There were 3 big parties so the waitress and waiters were all over the place. Understandable but we felt a bit neglected and rushed. Then we waited and waited for our food. Finally we got our food and mine was on point! Delicious, tender, juicy and just well roasted. But then they forgot about us. We wanted water and a dessert menu. We asked someone to help us and they said they will be right over, 10 minutes later nothing. Finally we just took our cards out and gave it to the next waitress that passed by and just said "charge it please". You guys were great until it got busy. I guess they are not use to that. Nothing has really changed since they changed the name, but at least they are still giving free entrees on your birthday. Oh wait..they claim to have new super crunchy fries now, but I would say super salty is a better description. Not crunchy either. The philly at 8.99 was decent, it had mozzarella cheese and the menu said ribeye..but not quite convinced. I'm giving five stars because the wings were good and so were the zucchini sticks. I used to be a regular on Tuesday night wing night. So it's been a while since I've been in. Last night was Wednesday half pound boneless wing night. We were there at about 7:30 PM and it was not busy. We sat in the bar area our server was very nice. My only problem is that seems like it took a while for the wings to come out which is strange because they were not busy. This is an updated review of Native since they got new management in late 2018. I had originally given them a 2 star review due to multiple issues we ran into each time we ordered take out. Recently the new management contacted me here on Yelp via private message and asked about my experiences and seemed genuinely concerned about fixing the issues. He apologized for things which didn't go so well in the past and said there were working on staff training. The past three times we ordered take out they got it right every time. Top notch wings. Came here looking for some good wings and left full and happy with money well spent. We came on a Tuesday and it was packed. It would seem $0.55 wings really brings people to the yard. We started off with some yummy loaded fries that his the pre meal spot that was just the perfect thing to start the night.. Then the wings which were delish. With flavors like Strawberry and Buffalo, it was a taste medley in my mouth. Wow! Is all we can say. My grandson had an orchestra concert tonight and we offered to treat my daughter and her family to dinner. They chose Native New Yorker. Mind you it is Tuesday night, and the D-backs were playing the final series game of the playoffs. We did not realize this beforehand but were very understanding when we arrived and were told we would have about a 20-minute wait. More than an hour later we were still waiting, the game had been over for nearly 45 minutes and the restaurant was half empty for at least 30 minutes. No one bothered to update us on our estimated time to be seated, even when we asked! The staff had slowed down...way down...and they were not even attempting to assist anyone except people with takeout orders. Again, half the place emptied out 30 minutes prior at this point. When we asked the hostess, we were told a few minutes, 20 minutes after that the manager approached the hostess stand where my wife attempted to ask when we would be seated. Instead of replying with I am sorry let me check he yelled at her telling her not to tell him how to run his restaurant. After her trying to tell him she was not trying to tell him how to run his restaurant she was simply asking a question he got more attitude and reiterated his previous response. He then said do you want to go somewhere else or would you like me to see if we can seat you soon. I then said we just want to sit down and eat, the restaurant is half empty, and we have kids with us that need to eat go home and go to bed so they can go to school in the morning. Obviously not listening to what was being said he again stated don't tell me how to run my restaurant. I told him again no one is telling you how to run your restaurant, it is half empty and we just want to be seated and eat. At this point he stated you're not going to tell me how to run my restaurant and asked us to leave. Did I say wow! I have never seen such an attitude from a manager at a restaurant, neither my wife nor I were rude or asked anything inappropriate. In fact, we just wanted to know when we could eat. I don't write reviews, and this is my first ever! We are not a Karen's or Daren's or whatever they call those people. I am a CEO of a company providing hospitality/customer service and a retired law enforcement Captain. My wife is a health care professional, we were there with my daughter her husband and our 2 grandchildren! If one of my employees acted like this, I would fire them on the spot! Well this an establishment I have ordered with delivery on numerous occasions. The number one menu item that I order is the wings. The wings are absolutely fine, but the dressing that accompanies it it is awful. The dressing specifically the ranch is prepackaged and oil based. I know I will get heat about not choosing bleu cheese....but don't judge. I really don't know why they won't provide a freshly made condiment. If you care about your health, this location has dangerous practices in the kitchen. 1. My chicken parm consisted of cold chicken tenders with sauce and cheese and was slapped between 2 slices of bread (for $10 they could have at least tried to fake it) 2. There were 15 visible employees & it took them over 45 minutes to serve 3 plates of cold food (maybe half of those red shirts could have expedited food as soon as it was ready 3. The answer to whether or not i could charge my phone was No since "the building is old......." ???? Welp, won't be coming back here again. I just moved here about a week and a half ago. This place is close by and has an outdoor patio. Today was my 3rd time here in a week and I brought my dog. Left him in the car, came in and asked if dogs are allowed on their patio...I got a yes response, just as long as I don't feed him or give him any water. This is pretty standard (maybe with the exception of water) for almost all food establishments with patios. I was there for about an hour without incident when a man comes out that I found out afterwards is the owner. His name was Shawn/Sean/Shaun. My dog barks upon hearing his voice. Mind you, not one single other person is on the patio. Sheauwn asks me if it's a "service dog". My only response is that I clarified beforehand to see if it was ok to bring him in. Here's the funny thing; HE IS CERTIFIED. I just don't like to take advantage or flaunt it by any means. He goes inside, obviously to address such an egregious error on the bartenders part, comes back and gives me the, "it's ok right now line, but in the future, he has to be well behaved. Obviously, he's going to respond to anyone that walks in here the way he did to me." Not true, about 4 to 5 other people were there briefly and he didn't do that. Anyways, his entire tone was condescending and just plain ran me off. Their food isn't anything exceptional, by any means, and the only reason I've been back was because of the patio and a few interactions with nice employees. Also, I've been a bartender for 10 years and in the service industry for 20, I know power trips when I see them. This was just not a way to approach your customers and make them feel welcomed in your establishment. There are plenty of other actual dog friendly patios with better food and a warmer atmosphere within a mile of this place. read more

Went in because Native has always been my favorite go to wing shop. Me and my friend had gone in after a long day of moving houses to get beer and some wings. The waitress hardly recognized we were even at this restaurant. We were definitely forgotten about. By the time we had gotten our beers they were warm because they had been sitting on the bar and the waitress never brought them over to our table. After that we received our food, all we ordered was wings, just wings, and of course the wings were cold because again, the waitress had forgotten to bring our wings to or table when they were ready in the kitchen. I come here every Tuesday for wing night and have never had a bad experience. My favorite flavor by far is strawberry hot. The environment is friendly and the staff is awesome.
