We called AAA and the Salinas Tow company numerous times to see what was going on. The dispatcher told us it would leave the tow yard at 2:30 PM When the next driver clocked in. My question is, then why take the tow, if you can't provide the service in a timely matter? She was very rude and defensive. I got another call from the dealership that the car never arrived and they will be closing soon, and my car could stay out in the unsecured parking lot. I thought I killed my car…read more Thursday I thought I would change the plugs in my PT Cruiser. On the last plug I wound up stripping the threads on the spark plug hole. I called around to shops looking for someone who could help me, and all the shops stated that it was beyond what they deal with and I would likely need to remove the head to fix it. Finally I got referred to Romero. Friday around lunchtime I call and am told to bring the car down. I know this is going to be an expensive fix and will probably be without my car for at least a week. Romero explains that it is not likely to be as extensive of a repair as I feared, and quoted a reasonable price range; promising to keep it cheaper if possible. He said he could get it done that afternoon. Friday night be calls me to come pick up the car as he is putting it back together. The job done, it revealed that my coil pack had gone out, and at 8 o clock at night after his family was waiting at home for him he was searching through some spare parts and found me a replacement salvaged from another car. By 9 o'clock I was on the road. This man deserves every bit of success that will surely come his way, and he has earned my business for life.

I was forced to use Auto Care Towing after a one-car accident, and the experience was awful from…read morestart to finish. My vehicle was taken to their Watsonville/Royal Oaks yard, and dealing with both the office staff and the tow yard attendant was unnecessarily stressful and hostile. I paid $1,500 to retrieve my vehicle, yet once on site, the yard attendant refused to give me his name, acted aggressively, and attempted to prevent me from leaving with my car after it had already been fully paid for. He became confrontational, behaved in an intimidating manner, and even tried closing the gate while I was inside the yard. I felt genuinely unsafe during this interaction and simply wanted to back my car out while waiting for another tow, but I was still denied access. While dealing with this unprofessional behavior at the yard, I had to call their office again. I needed my car towed to a tire shop and literally had to call their office three times before anyone was finally dispatched. Each time I called, I was told it would "only take about 20 minutes," which was repeatedly not true. It wasn't until that third call, while the situation was actively escalating at the yard, that they finally seemed to take the situation seriously. Once we were finally on the road, the tow truck driver followed behind me. During the drive, I received a call from a random office staff member telling me that I should have paid for the tow before leaving the yard and that my car would not be delivered to the destination until payment was made. This was never communicated beforehand. I pulled over to the side of the road, spoke directly with the tow truck driver, and explained the call I had just received. I asked whether I should pay immediately or upon arrival. He confirmed that paying at the destination was fine and that this was customary. The conflicting information and unnecessary call added yet another layer of stress to an already chaotic experience. The entire interaction was recorded, and I will be sharing the footage with my large local social media following so others are aware of how customers are treated here. Accidents are stressful enough. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding Auto Care Towing if you have any other option.

The older gentleman, clearly disabled and using a cane, parked in the handicapped spot. While he had a handicapped placard, it wasn't in his car at the moment. Chuey had his car on the tow truck and told the guy he would lower it for $300. The family gave him $300 cash. Meanwhile Chuey was yelling profanities and acting very aggressive. Again, yes the man should have had his placard, but like come one dude, chill the F out, put the car down, and go pick on someone who isn't disabled and someone who didn't make an honest mistake of not having their placard in the car. Instead Chuey is out here yelling, yet again, "I have all the apartment contracts I can do whatever the F**k I want," "am I talking to you or am I talking to your wife (cause he can't seem to hold a multi person conversation)," and "go f**k yourself." The owners should be embarrassed and ashamed but since I never see them comment back (well and since Chuey is still employed) that says a lot about their business and who they are as people. What's even more sad is that Chuey probably enjoys getting reviews like this--makes him feel like more of a man or something I'm sure--which really is so silly. A real man is a respectful human. My job can be stressful, but it never justifies people (Chuey) immediately starting to call people names, yell, be aggressive, etc. (which yes he initiated in our personal encounter in response to my question for clarification). Also, I've said in all my posts I understand why the car was towed--the issue is with your rude employee and your business practices. Like how I never received a response to my original post saying the pricing was all wacky. I have gps data on my employees car showing when she arrives at the apartment complex yet the invoice we have said the time of the call for the tow happened before the employee had even arrived and we were charged for 2 hours yet we got it back before 2 hours.
