When they say this process is easy, they mean EASY! We've refinanced before with other institutions (Wells Fargo, first republic) and it's taken between 4-6 months. NPL had our refinance done in 12 days. 12 DAYS FLAT FROM END TO END!!! Are you serious?! Where have they been all our lives. I have never ever ever worked with a more professional, kind, patient, informative, and well versed group of people. I am referring everyone to them because taking 4-6 months to do a refinance is absurd. Had a terrible experience with them on the 2nd time refinancing. First, they misled us by saying they had all our information so the refinancing process would be simple, keep in mind, they contacted us, not the other way around. After we started the process, they were way move invasive and were asking for our information back to 2016 and tons of documents. After I questioned this, I was told "that's just what you're going to have to do". The manager Resa (sp) was incredibly arrogant. We stopped the process with them and went with Rocket Mortgage. Who by the way, we're up front with what they would need (and not income info for 3 years) and process is going great. And bonus, NPL wanted to charge us $2900 Rocket mortgage half of that. read more

Predatory lender. This company gave me a quote that seemed better than their competitors but after I chose them they changed the fees. Initial quote had loan origination fees totaling $945. By closing the fees went over $5574 (NOT including any title, escrow or appraisal etc. fees. NPL's final closing cost went over $9000 for a consumer with Excellent credit scores?!). During loan processing I asked loan officer Mike why are the fees different than his initial quote. His reply was they are just estimates by his underwriter & they are always over inflated. Told me not to worry, pushed me to sign & he can change it later. Mike said the fees at closing will be the same as he quoted me initially. He never wanted to communicate in writing & always wanted to call. Good that I followed up in emails & still have emails where he sent the initial quotes. I contacted him & the owner Reem several times but got no solutions. He forgot he left paper trail. I guess they got my money & they believe there's nothing I can do. As I am pursuing consumer protection actions, I'd like to warn others of their unethical & predatory practices. Their rates turned out to be not better than others. In the end, their fees are the highest. Also, look at how many reviews their 5 star reviewers had written before NPL's review. NPL has been in business for many years & only a handful reviews. read more
