I'm super grateful for the experience I had with Maria at this business. She certainly went above and beyond for me and the price for my wedding alterations I found to be fair. She took in the top of my dress because my chest was small, and there was some boning and lacing that would have made that job difficult. The length of my dress had to be trimmed so I don't trip when walking, and she did that without changing anything about the lace details of my train. She sewed in buttons so that the straps of my veil cape could detach. She also did a traditional 3 button bustle. Due to the lace details of my dress, I was a little worried, but everything turned out absolutely perfect. Her quality of work is absolutely beautiful and I couldn't recommend her enough. Came here in need of dry cleaning for a polyester/satin dress that stains quite easily (with water or any other moisture). The employee who greeted me let me know that they may need to do 2 treatments on the dress due to the staining (no additional charge), but I could drop by after the first treatment to take a look. I dropped the dress off on a Tuesday (with the hopes that it'd be ready by Friday (for a Saturday wedding). Thankfully, the first treatment was successful and the dress was ready by Friday. Price: I paid $15.60 for my midi-length hi low dress. I was a bit surprised at the price and I was initially quoted $11.50 over the phone, but either way the final price felt decent based on quotes that other dry cleaners were giving me. Had a bridesmaid dress steamed here about a month ago- staff was nice and helpful. The only thing I wasn't happy with was they told me my dress would be done on Thursday and the latest would be Friday. I went to pick it up probably around 4/5p that Friday and they apologize and tell me it's not ready. I understand that they're busy I would have appreciated a call letting me know it wasn't ready as opposed to driving there and being told to come back another day to pick it up. I also inquired about getting a wedding dress preserved (which they said they do) and I was told a price. Only to find out from a friend (who also inquired about this service) that they don't actually preserve the dress. They will clean it and box it but it isn't preserved and the dress would still discolor because it's just put in a display box and it is not sealed. read more

Its been years since I altered anything so I totally forgot pretty much everything but the dress prior to alterations (shoes and bra I planned on wearing) and Maria was so patient and kind with messy me. Dry cleaners in my area doesn't have good reviews so I drive a little further to get my clothes cleaned. The last time I came here I brought in several article of clothings to be dry cleaned, and a pair of jeans to be altered. There was no issue with the dry cleaning, the issue was with the alterations. The jeans I brought in is loose so I wanted to bring it in at the waist. I mentioned to Maria that I didn't want it to be too tight. She measured and pinned the jeans and I trusted her to get it done correctly. I noticed that there were other customers that day and they all wanted their items done quickly, so I told Maria to take her time on my clothes, that it was no rush. Past forward to a few weeks, I came in to pick up my clothes. The pair of jeans I brought in was completely crooked. The stitches on it was done so unprofessionally that it left me really confused. How was that passable in her eyes? When she asked me how it looked, I told her it's crooked at the lining on the back and it sticks out funny. All she said was she will get it fixed. No explanation, no apology. At that point I really should have just taken the jeans somewhere else but I wanted to give her another chance. Before I left, I even point out the stitching is very awkward. She even confirmed and said it's going to be fixed too, once she align the back correctly. So she does know that her work has issues. A week later I came back for it and now the back area is aligned, but the top is now misaligned. The stitching is fixed. It's just it's not as bad as before. At this point I'm extremely tired and frustrated, I just paid and decided to leave. I'm annoyed that she didn't take responsibility for her mistake, and instead wait for me to say something. And her lack of consideration that yes, you can fix it, but you are also wasting my time. I have to keep coming back to adjust the alteration. And lastly, my $80 pair of jeans is ruined. It's extremely tight around my waist and in addition I had to pay for the terrible work on it. Definitely will be bringing my business elsewhere. Just keep in mind that if you bring your jeans here for repair, it might not get done right. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place! After getting married this past August, I wanted to dry clean my wedding dress and preserve it. I called several places and National had the best price. When I got there, Maria was so sweet and so nice. She did an excellent job cleaning the dress, especially the bottom train, which was covered in dirt from walking around taking pictures. I knew that my dress would be boxed, but I didn't expect such a beautiful box and for my dress to look so beautifully placed inside. Maria is very sweet, kind, patient, and meticulous. I told the owner that I had it dry cleaned before and that there was still a lot of dirt/ makeup on it. She told me she was sure she can get off all the dirt and she sure did! I thought I was doomed with the jacket I purchased from Stockx (STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!) The back of the jacket that I bought (BRAND NEW) was missing about 2 inches of lining and scrunched up REALLY BAD in the back. I had called everywhere and NOBODY could fix my jacket. I finally called this place and spoke to the seamstress (Maria) She told me to bring it in and was a little skeptical when she looked at the jacket and the work that needed to be done. Nevertheless, she took on the job with OUTSTANDING results (I came to find out) I'm amazed and blown away by the work. One of the BEST wedding decision I made!! My wedding dress practically needed full reconstruction, Maria, who let me tell you, is the sweetest and so hardworking, came through big time! My dress needed to come in 1 1/2 inches on each side, the sleeves would not stay on my shoulders, so she had to take it all in (I know, I am not using the correct verbiage or explaining it correctly), she took out a layer of tulle that was under the dress, had to make the sleeves smaller so it was flush with my arms, since the dress had to come in all around, the lace on the top of the dress had to be taken in also, she had to hem it, add bra cups, add extra support to the shoulders, and make a bustle. Her price was extremely reasonable, the customer service was exceptional when someone would come in, she would say hello, but her attention never strayed from me, I was her priority and that meant a lot to me! I 100% recommend Maria for everything especially wedding dresses - we spend a lot on wedding dresses, and it is nerve-racking because you want to make sure you are getting it tailored at a place that will do the job quickly, and correctly. I LOVE MARIA!! To be honest, rolling up to the parking lot was looking kind of sketchy.. but once Maria came out it wasn't so bad. I had gone to National Cleaners to go get my boyfriends trousers tailored without him. So I brought his pants that have been tailored before to see if she can match it. It ended up being the same size as the already tailored pants and it didn't need tailoring.. (I'm such a dummy) BUT I am giving Maria and her cleaners a 5 star because she was so patient with me on so many levels, that I am positive that if I were to go anywhere else they would just brush me off and say no can do! Maria and everyone here were very kind and responsive so this is nothing against her. I took my wedding dress in to get altered. The dress didn't need much besides length and it was a little large in the chest. She suggested altering the straps to fix the chest. This didn't make sense to me but I trusted her. I went to do my try on and expressed that it was still too big in the chest. Like a very large gap was there. And it was too tight and up into my armpits from her taking in the straps. She suggested taping the dress down and filling in with a bra. I wanted a wedding dress that fit my body and not have to stuff my bra or tape it down. I came in 7/3, desperate, looking for a seamstress to help me with my wedding dress alterations (him the train, shorten the liner, add a bustle, fix my straps). I was referred here and the mom and son duo are super nice, but very very pricey for a hem of a dress less then 3 inches all the way around unfortunately at pick up it was not how I had imagined it at pin up..I was not pleased with the length but pushed for time and not willing to pay more money as it cost me half of what the dress cost just for a hem. 3 stars is for the price. Amazing!! Quick turnaround, wonderful service, and a great experience! The lady was so sweet and helped me get the perfect tailoring for my jeans. She made me feel so comfortable as she stuck pins in my jeans and made all the adjustments. It only took a few days and it was a great deal! I needed the waist of my Madewell jeans taken in a bit and so she had to do alterations on both sides of the waist, so it was about $20-25 (I forget exactly how much). They fit perfectly after and it was so seamless I'm sure even Madewell employees would not have known it had been altered! Go, go, go! read more
