Bad experience. I had done a one-way rental from Plattsburgh international to Philadelphia…read moreinternational. Upon returning my car in Philadelphia, they were not able to give me a receipt because they said that Plattsburgh international needed to close out my contract however no one was available at 5:30 PM even though their hours were from 8 AM to 8 PM. I called for three days in a row to try to obtain a receipt from Plattsburgh Hertz location. I was unable to get closure of my contract from a customer reservations representative named Melissa who told me three different reasons in one phone conversation. They range from 1) I do not work for hertz, 2)I work for them but I'm unable to get in the system 3)my manager called out sick today if she calls out sick tomorrow again I cannot help you. She failed to listen to my explanation and told me to call corporate. Upon calling corporate, their response was Plattsburgh hertz needs to close this contract out as it is still open three days after returning the car. The corporate customer service gentleman did say he will leave an email message for the Plattsburgh manager. We will see what this amounts to.

I had a flight from the airport back to Florida, and picked up a rental car there earlier in the week. I will start with the not so great stuff. Since this airport is so tiny, the counters really aren't staffed. At the time there was one employee working the Avis and Budget counter, and when I arrived he was no where to be found. To be fair I was just picking up and not coming off a flight, so they are probably more diligent about being at the counter when they have a flight coming in, but still my reservation had my pickup time. To remedy this staff situation there was a sign to call the employees cell phone to let them know you need service. I called and there was no answer. I waited a few more minutes and called again. This time the employee picked up and informed me that he was in the lot finishing cleaning out a car and would be in in about ten minutes. I figured maybe he was cleaning the car I was about to rent. After spending about 15-20 minutes waiting around for someone to help me at the counter things went much more smoothly. The employee arrived and set me up with the car. He was kind enough to offer me an upgrade and I ended up with a hybrid Ford C-max, which I was happy with as a had a decent amount of driving to do, so the gas mileage was a plus. He didn't pressure me into insurance I didn't need and even offered me a homemade Christmas cookie before I was on my way. I had the car for a few days, and it was a great car at a very reasonable price. The counter was closed when I dropped the car off, but there is a key drop box. I had reserved and prepaid online about a month before my trip (make sure to google for coupon codes), and I was happy to find that there were no additional charges made to my credit card after the car was returned, although I was never emailed a receipt (maybe it ended up in my junk mail.) If you aren't coming in off a flight come in expecting to be a little patient, because the airport is so small, and therefore staffing is pretty bare bones, but overall I was happy with my experience, the price, and the car, so I would rent here again.

The manager, Christopher Olah, was unconcerned and said I had an option to cancel as I was getting on my flight THAT morning. As if. Avoid like the plague. And find a branch that doesn't deal in bait-and-switch. Deplorable. UPDATE: After a few emails, corporate reversed the charges. All hail logic and reasonableness. If you allow third parties (carrentals.com) to build your business you can't then ALSO say they are unreliable. Budget is great, forget this location.

I advised her it was ideal but my plans had changed and that I was extending my stay and I would need the vehicle for extra time. I also advised that I would be returning the vehicle back to the same location instead of a different airport as planned. She not only worked with me, but she was able to offer me a continued great rate and advised me that returning it to the same location would be ok. She and people like her is definitely the reason that I use Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I will definitely be returning to the airport for more family events and I know for fact, She will be my contact person. She kept on top of every situation and greeted me when I returned the vehicle. That type of professionalism is what sets Enterprise apart from many others. Trust me, I have tried various others as well. Thank you Enterprise!

After a last minute flight cancellation, I rebooked my rental car for today. Arrived and waited in…read moreline only to be told the system continues to allow booking despite no availability of any make or model. I have now landed at BTV, stranded with no rental available, no resolution and no supervisor on site to speak with. Absolutely unacceptable. Updated: even after being turned away the Enterprise site (directly) continues to allow booking despite no cars being available. A quick review of the terms and conditions (attached) clearly spell out that they have no responsibility to actually have the car they allow you to reserve.

Rental agent Tricia waited on me and was thoroughly professional and very personable. What a breath of fresh air. I was impressed. It is absolutely wonderful to receive this kind of attention and service in the present business climate. Obviously I had a choice when making my selection for a rental car, talking on the phone to Tricia was the deciding factor for me going with Plattsburg. I have worked in customer service in the past, and excellent customer service definitely is the to happy customers. Happy customers should be the goal of every business, of course. But some businesses seem to have forgotten this. I commend and praise Agent Tricia for her sincere attention to my needs at the time and her impeccable customer service. More companies need to have reps like her. I will always rent Avis in Plattsburg Thanks so much!

Rented a vehicle from this location Sept 6-9, 2019. Paid in advance online so I could get the…read morediscounted price. Pick up and drop off was uneventful but there was no one available to go over the vehicle upon its return so checked out at inside airport kiosk. In November, received a letter in the mail stating I owed $315 and was no longer allowed to rent from them until I paid the balance due (no explanation of charge was included in the letter) and was sent to their collections department. I called customer service and was told it was a smoking fee even though no one in the car is a smoker and that I was disputing the charge. (I was also told the charge for that was $250). I called their collections department next and was told I owed $315 but couldn't explain what the charge was for. I spoke with several representatives and was asked to send a copy of my credit card statement showing the charge, which was done immediately. I emailed and called the rep back that was handling my case but received no response. Contacted his supervisor who told me that we no longer owed the $315 and I requested a follow up email stating this fact in case they tried to collect this fee in the future. Never did find out exactly what the $315 charge was for but I told them that for future rentals, I would be booking elsewhere since I didn't want to go through this hassle in the future. I also contacted Avis corporate but never received a call back from them.
