I had already eaten but the bar/restaurant (only 1) was also kept open longer which was nice. I like airports that are quick and easy to navigate and also clean. This one ticks all those boxes.

Received message about a crew issue through my email and that flight is delayed 1 hour 10 minutes. Plane arrived 40 minutes later after that time. We are no longer on the departure boards. Pilot only one to let a few passengers know that we can't fuel until 30 minutes after last lightning strike and that 3 planes are ahead of us. 1 hour later still no announcements. Though some people in orange vest just walked by. At least one person has left as they will not be able to attend a scheduled meeting at our intended destination. It is now 30 minutes after promised time of fueling to be done and they have just started to fuel plane. Still no attendance, no announcements. We are still not on departure board. Finally our first announcement , they are boarding. 3 hours 20 minutes late. We are being checked in by a united ground express person. A guess breeze has no employees. Somehow there are attendants on the plane. Must of been aware of the issues and stayed on from previous flight. Pilot is now explaining that we had to wait for fueling and that we had to wait for him to drive to the Orlando airport and fly up to pilot this one back. It is now 4 hours 15 minutes from our scheduled departure time. We will not arrive until the next day.

I emailed him a UPS label and he sent them to me. I was grateful. It did not feel like a big corporate exchange. Sadly, I must report that my experience with Island Taxi was horrifying. I had expected the owner…read moreof the service, who I understood was a female, to drive me in what I understood was a Continental. I had ordered up the taxi because I was forced to evacuate my apartment, temporarily, due to a serious septic gas leak of hydrogen sulfide and had no choice but to leave until a broken sewer pump was repaired. But the female driver never showed. With my bags packed and hotel booked and budgeted for, I waited outside my apartment filled with fumes. That's when a lime green custom vehicle appeared. A young man exited, told me, didn't ask me, to get in. He explained he was my cab driver. The vehicle also was equipped with flashing laser green lights. Puzzled, I explained I was waiting for a woman cab driver who was driving a Continental. The young man told me she was "tied up". I told him I wasn't going with him. He then, approached me, handed me a cell phone, claiming his mother, the owner of Island Taxi, wants to talk to me. A woman on that phone explained she was the driver's mother and apologized she couldn't make it and was "tied up". She told me her son was safe to go with. Heading back to my apartment was not an option. And, the clock was ticking on my hotel room reserved in North Hero, VT. Tough situation. The young man told me his name was Brooke. I observed there were dozens of firefighters gathering at the fire station within a thousand feet of where this taxi driver-potential customer chat was taking place, so I felt I, at least, had credible witnesses if something were to happen. Brooke took my bags, stored them in his odd vehicle. While he did that, I walked around his "cab" and observed something very disturbing: A huge air brushed painting sprawled across his vehicle body of a female with long brown hair whose mouth was gagged with a RED GAG. I was taken back when I saw this since I had long brown hair and did not feel comfortable with the suggestion that a female should be gagged, with a gag that was red, green, blue or of any color. When I then asked him to remove my bags from his car, he aggressively objected to what he perceived to be negative criticism of what he called "his art". I insisted he remove my luggage from his vehicle and that I objected to his "art". Our conversation led to his promise that he was a safe driver and would get me to my hotel. I should have listened to my instincts and should not have given into his argument. At any rate, I got in. At that point, he locked all doors and engaged a switch that ignited laser green lights that lit up the inside floor boards. So, then, I was rather convinced I had made a huge mistake allowing this unusual person to convince me to get into an uncomfortable situation. When he drove me to the end of our parking lot, and, then, to the main road, he made a RIGHT, heading south, instead of LEFT, which would have been north and in the direction of my hotel. When I objected, he claimed he was taking me to the airport. Claimed he had just returned from Ukraine where he left his girlfriend who he claimed did not understand him and now I was somehow going to the airport. Now, my discomfort rose to panic. I was locked in and concerned he was abducting me. His demeanor was calm, low voice and creepy. He did not listen to any reasoning. I then threatened to call the sheriff. When I made moves to do that, he did a U-turn, claiming he was then taking me to my hotel. He continued his monologue which seemed like he was making references to human trafficking which I found very terrifying. He finally took me to the hotel parking lot, where those Grand Isle firefighters I saw earlier, were, coincidentally, gathered in a wake for a tragic loss of life of children of one of the firefighters. They were all dressed as super heroes in honor of the children. The entire experience was frightening. I do not recommend that any solo females use this cab company, unless the female owner is the driver. I later discovered this young male driver did have a criminal record and works also as a taxidermist. SOLO WOMEN BEWARE!

Rental agent Tricia waited on me and was thoroughly professional and very personable. What a breath of fresh air. I was impressed. It is absolutely wonderful to receive this kind of attention and service in the present business climate. Obviously I had a choice when making my selection for a rental car, talking on the phone to Tricia was the deciding factor for me going with Plattsburg. I have worked in customer service in the past, and excellent customer service definitely is the to happy customers. Happy customers should be the goal of every business, of course. But some businesses seem to have forgotten this. I commend and praise Agent Tricia for her sincere attention to my needs at the time and her impeccable customer service. More companies need to have reps like her. I will always rent Avis in Plattsburg Thanks so much!

Rented a vehicle from this location Sept 6-9, 2019. Paid in advance online so I could get the…read morediscounted price. Pick up and drop off was uneventful but there was no one available to go over the vehicle upon its return so checked out at inside airport kiosk. In November, received a letter in the mail stating I owed $315 and was no longer allowed to rent from them until I paid the balance due (no explanation of charge was included in the letter) and was sent to their collections department. I called customer service and was told it was a smoking fee even though no one in the car is a smoker and that I was disputing the charge. (I was also told the charge for that was $250). I called their collections department next and was told I owed $315 but couldn't explain what the charge was for. I spoke with several representatives and was asked to send a copy of my credit card statement showing the charge, which was done immediately. I emailed and called the rep back that was handling my case but received no response. Contacted his supervisor who told me that we no longer owed the $315 and I requested a follow up email stating this fact in case they tried to collect this fee in the future. Never did find out exactly what the $315 charge was for but I told them that for future rentals, I would be booking elsewhere since I didn't want to go through this hassle in the future. I also contacted Avis corporate but never received a call back from them.
