Here I am in Vermont alone on a weekend trip. Never been to Vermont and decided to get away after many problems in my personal life. I rented a mountain bike and started to do the trail around the lake and got about 5 miles into it when I thought to myself.....How awesome would it be to rent a motorcycle and just cruise? I looked up rentals on my phone while sitting lakeside with a mountain bike. Low and behold I find Eric and MotoVermont. I left a message thinking they were probably closed at 3:00 on a holiday weekend. Much to my surprise I receive a call 10 minutes later saying they have a motorcycle I could rent and IT GETS BETTER!!! Eric actually says "I can come pick you up" remember I am on a stupid mountain bike lakeside. I ditch the bike and Eric picks me up. We go back to the shop and he gets me dialed in. I repeatedly tell Eric "You saved my life" Eric had no idea of the horrible personal issues I was going through...My ex wife taking me back to court, my girlfriend of 5 years pretty much dumping me, my oldest son rebelling etc... My life was not endangered at all but riding that BMW through the hills of Vermont really set me straight. I cant wait to return to VT and visit Eric again and ride ride ride. One of the best experiences I have had! I attended the Vermont 400 lead by Eric and Spencer and let me tell you it was awesome! 4 great days of riding all kinds of different terrain from pavement, twisty dirt roads to very technical rocky hill climbs and descents on some exciting class 4 roads. (Look up class 4 roads in Vermont, very unique) The guided tour includes 3 nights of fun lodging, Dinner and breakfast are included. The lunch stops and breaks allowed time to see some of the inner workings of small village towns in a great state. The riding is enough to get the heart rate up and possibly test your riding abilities for a minute or two. The adventure is real and traveling as a team just makes it more fun! A buddy and I recently had a great one-day, self guided (w/GPS) tour prepared by Eric and Spencer. They got us on the right bikes and prepared a custom route that was tailored for our abilities and our taste for adventure. The bikes were ready (even with fresh tires) on-time, as promised, and performed brilliantly for our adventure. Unless you are familiar with the area, I would highly recommend either a guided tour or the GPS self guided tour as you may miss out on some of the adventure. I will definitely be returning later this year to partake in their Northeast Kingdom 3-day tour. I had a great experience renting a BMW F700 GS from Moto Vermont. Eric and Spencer were helpful over the phone, the bike looked and ran like new, even though it had 20K miles on it. Eric gave me a map of Vermont and suggested both roads and sites to visit during my 3 day rental. If you are in Vermont I would suggest renting from them, especially if you like BMW bikes. The F700 GS with a low seat was perfect for a 5ft 8.5in guy. Vermont is a great place to ride. Especially the back roads where you great views of the Vermont countryside, mountains, lakes, woods, and covered bridges. Every town seemed to have a general store, gas station, a church and a grave yard. read more

Great place, Friendly and EFFICIENT! I was amazed when I arrived, ten minutes early, how much in order everything was already. Bike was clean, fueled, fluids checked and pulled out ready to go. Paperwork was remarkably straight forward and simple. I was renting F650GS to see if I wanted to purchase a BMW, and it was an incredibly affordable way to test drive a bike for a whole day. They even included a padded jacket at no extra charge when they saw what I showed up in. Eric offered to point out a few great routes and handed me a map to get on my way. I took a training Vermont off road tour with these guys in early June 2015. It was really the best riding experience of my life: scenic trails of varying difficulty, new bikes, small group, solid safety emphasis, but the best of all - Eric (the owner) and Alex (instructor) were terrific. First half of a day we spent at a trek learning different off road techniques and then for two and a half days we rode throughout Vermont. I had huge fun and learned a lot. A friend and I rented two Honda CRF250s from these guys, along with taking their guided tour of the Northeast Kingdom. The bikes were in top shape, the guys were extremely friendly and accommodating, and we had an absolute blast. I took the off-road Training at Jay Peak with Bill Dragoo and Moto Vermont this past August. The weekend was excellent, and we had a great group of riders in the class. I highly recommend Bill as an instructor, Eric and Moto Vermont for the overall setup and coordination of the event, and The Jay Peak Resort and surrounding area for a great place to stay and scenic Vermont countryside to ride in. I did not rent a bike from Eric this time around, as I had my own, but I did see several from his fleet and all were in top-Notch condition. read more

We found the MotoVermont ad in one of the motorcycle magazines so we contacted Eric to reserve a ride. We just got back and could not have been more pleased. Eris and Spencer had everything ready on time, gave us a great GPS route for the 3 days and the bike performed flawlessly. The other great thing was the price they quoted was the price you paid including the insurance. These guys are awesome. Rented a duc multistrada from them last year. Bike was in great condition, they gave my wife and I some great recommendations on roads to hit. Super laid back and stand up guys. Can't wait to go back in a few weeks and ride the r1200rt we have reserved. This is one of the best bike rental shops in the country and an amazing area to do some great riding in. I rented a Kawasaki KLR650 for the day, and the entire experience was fantastic. The bike only had 500 miles, and they offered me a choice of tires! The shop and the guys seem cool and genuine. The cost was reasonable considering it was a ridiculously fun day of blasting around on a bike. The whole transaction was simpler than I thought, too. Definitely renting again. read more
