People sleeping on the sidewalks. Some very shady looking characters wandering around. We parked in the lot that was designated for the flea market but decided that we were not brave enough to get out of the car, so we left. It wasn't worth getting knifed over. From the car we couldn't see much that looked decent.

Wonderful artisan butcher shop with top quality meats. Selections are such that there are always…read moremultiple options for every occasion. If they are not busy, take time to get to know the team, even ask for preparation suggestions. Their suggestions are always spot on. I visit here a few times each month. This is a small place that can get very busy. Be patient and enjoy the show. The staff are always wonderful, even when they have to deal with "challenging" customers. There are many options for "meat department" goods in the area. Chop shop is where I go when I want the absolute best quality and unique choices.

I found great real freeze dried dog treats for my little dog whom has lots if allergies and can only have things made with duck, lamb, and venison so that was very exciting for us. We met a vendor that sold prize winning Kansas City barbecue rub that was amazing. We saw lots of beautiful fresh produce, bakery items and lots of homemade items, beautiful jewelry and art. Unfortunately I just didn't have enough $$ to go around because believe me I could have bought a lot of things! This is a wonderful market close to home, easy parking and available indoor facilities at the civic center. I will be going to this market lots and I recommend you try it out too!

We bought a Turkish cotton wrap, homemade stain remover, 3 hand-sewn headbands and a few edible delicacies like marshmallow and rice krispie treats. Nice public bathroom is right there and parking was easy for us.

I would give this place 5 stars - but the music is so loud. Everytime we visit, we end up asking…read morethem to turn it down. When you are with a group of friend and someone wants to try things, the music is blasting! So if you are bothered by loud noises I wouldn't go in this place. I also, have mixed feeling about the items. I do think that some things can be overpriced but somethings are really cute and feel unique. I know that these shops are going to be more money because it is a tourist spot, but sometimes things are little crazy IMO. If you are looking for cute gifts you can find something for 20 bucks but if you want a dress get great to spend around 100 on one thing.
