    Records we got

We bought a few records from here on our trip, they had a pretty good selection. The store was clean and the employees were helpful and friendly. If you're into records I would definitely check this place out. We love grabbing a record from any city we visit as a fun (and functional) keepsake.

Top notch record store with a HUGE selection of vinyl, cassettes and more. All the genres are covered, and cleaning kits and other items. Great staff, helpful and personable. It's tucked away but when you are a music buff you make sure to find what you need. My son is an avid crate digger and this is his home away from home when he visits the area. This trip we had to come here 2x. What's funny is that they randomly also sell bottles of cold brew coffee lol. To keep you fueled while you dig? It's a cool spot.

Today was a beautiful day in Tonevendor. I bought some record albums and clear album protectors. Cyd was very helpful and professional in accommodating my needs there. I look forward to coming back here again.

Awesome shop with incredibly wide variety! Little hole in the wall vibes. My favorite record shop.

Great selection and friendly staff! Yelp says I need 59 more characters to post this review so hopefully I've met the minimum by now.

I could not believe how much the store has expanded over the years, including an annex two doors down that houses thousands of CDs. The amount of inventory here is almost overwhelming in the best possible way. As a music collector, it honestly felt like I had died and gone to heaven. No matter what genre you enjoy, there is an incredible amount to explore. I was especially excited to find a large selection of leftover Record Store Day titles, including two rare releases that I was thrilled to add to my collection. I also came across many original pressings of 1980s LPs and 12" singles, along with a huge number of CDs in the annex, including several out-of-print titles that are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Everywhere I looked, there were hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Atlantic Sounds is the kind of record store where you could easily spend an entire day -- or several days -- browsing and still not see everything they have to offer. I am so glad to see how much they have grown and expanded since my last visit. It remains an absolute paradise for music lovers and collectors.

Staff (the owner & a vendor) were VERY FRIENDLY and HELPFUL. (Be sure to check in to receive 15% off any one item that is not marked "firm.") I purchased mid-century framed art for my home, as well as a stamped, light blue 1960's Santa Anita Ware dish w/ a drip glaze. A friend purchased 1980's framed art as well as gorgeous sterling (925) earrings. Prices were reasonable-- definitely not too high. This appeared to be the case throughout the shoppe even though multiple vendors sell here. A smaller-sized home, it has been converted & wonderfully transformed into a vintage shoppe. Within the six or so rooms, visitors will find vinyl albums; vintage clothing (one full room of it); many jewelry displays for men & woman; dishware & serving pieces; wall art; home decor; lamps; MCM furniture; & much more. Parking spots on busy San Marco Avenue are few & far between, but there is plenty of free parallel parking along the many side streets. (Probably the best parking is directly behind the building.) Best to avoid this area around dinnertime. It took us a great deal of time to leave the crowded area. I suggest visiting @ other times to avoid the heavy traffic. But DO stop in here; it's worth your time! I WILL return the next time I'm in the area.

Didn't really find anything that had a thrift store price. Everything seemed to be at a premium for what it was. If you like that level of curation then it's cool. Music lovers, rejoice!…read more If you're looking for a place where great music is key, look no further! When I first started my record collection, I asked my music-loving co-worker where to go and he immediately recommended Hear Again! Located in downtown Gainesville only a few cobblestoned steps from the legendary Hippodrome Theater, Hear Again has a fantastic location in the heart of the city. You'll usually know when the shop is open based on the standing sign that is propped up during business hours! Upon entrance into the store, you're surrounded by some of the greatest tunes to ever be pressed on their various mediums with more genres that you could even count. Hear Again is so wonderfully organized and arranged, there never seems to be a a CD or vinyl out of alphabetical or genre order - talk about arrangement! The wonderful store owner also keeps a running list online of available vinyls, also available on their Instagram page which is updated weekly with new arrivals or sales. My favorite portion of the store? The used records! I've scored vinyls in prime condition for $5 or even less! One of my favorite details about Hear Again? Their COVID practices! Upon entry, you get your temp checked, hands sprayed with alcohol/sanitizer and you are then provided with gloves. I love it!! So if you're planning to show some love to your music collection soon, Hear Again has all the greats your record player could want!
