In the end I walked out with 10 titles in trade paperback and hardcover. Basically all high end comics. Most of them were Doctor Who and Torchwood but a couple were filler to get the best deals. All look like good titles and I can't wait to read them. The receipt comes with a coupon for a free paperback with $15 purchase on Saturdays for customer appreciation. When you come in here you get a comic shop, but you also get to marvel (get it?) at his artwork which is also on display and available for purchase. If you love comics and pop culture in general, you really need to stop by this store. We try to stop in whenever we're over in Mandarin. While I've never been big into comic books, I've always loved pop culture collectibles. I know they can't carry everything in store but every time we're in there I'm amazed by how much they do have on hand. Sure, there are huge online stores that you can order tons of things from but like always, I'd rather support a local Jacksonville business if at all possible. Especially if it's a place I've received great customer service from before and that's the case with Mythical Mountain. We've called ahead before when we were looking for gifts and had them remember the call hours later when we got to the store and helped us find the perfect gift. I took a few pics to share but I still don't think it gives you a good idea of how much stuff they have in the store. I didn't find anything I wanted to pick up today but my wife found a Mick Foley action figure that she bought for herself, so that's a win for America. If you needed any further proof of the level of customer service and care they provide, you don't really need to look further than the most recent post I made about them in the the Jacksonville Fun, Eats & Drinks Facebook group. I posted a recap of our most recent visit in the group and mentioned the part you just read about how I didn't find anything then I mentioned that I need to call them some time to see if they can get their hands on one of the Michael Jackson figures made by Blitzway because they seem like the type of store that might be able to get that type of thing. Then I went on to say that even if they can't get it, I'd still rather try if I can go through a local place first before somewhere online. Within minutes, the store owner left a comment asking me to send her a DM with information on what I'm looking for to see if she can help. See what I mean? You can't get that kind of customer service from any online store, no matter how big and bad they are... If you like stuff like this, stop in at Mythical Mountain in Mandarin some time. Even if collectables or comics aren't your thing, I bet you could find a gift for someone you know at this store with ease. Had to stop in here for an online order pickup (or so I thought). I really only seem to go to Kohls…read moreduring the holidays, due to their great deals. Their parking lot gets filled pretty quickly, so while they appear to have ample parking, sometimes you have to park pretty far away. When I entered, I went to the back, where I thought online order pickups would be. I had to pick up two separate orders, one for my dad, and then one for an order I placed yesterday. When I arrived, I went to the back, but this was the self serve pickup. Being totally confused, I asked an associate, I gave her my order number and she says, I don't think it's filled yet after checking and there being no record of the orders. I wound up leaving, then because I didn't want to come back, I downloaded the app and noticed one of my orders, the most recently placed one was canceled, due to the item being out of stock. I came back in, asked an associate about the order my dad placed. Come to find out one of the items in his order, the one that was for pickup was also canceled due to lack of inventory. I wish Kohls would do a better job of making sure items are in stock before allowing you to pay, and then saying your order is good to go.
