Ok this is a fun store. They have toys, anime and science fiction action figures. There are items from modern and retro science fiction movies.

Super interesting store with all kinds of things. There's a ton of Dungeons & Dragons and Critical Role items. I got myself this cause it reminded me of the sets I would buy in the 80s. I didn't even know they still made these. I love it. The guy working wasn't super chatty, but was nice enough and I don't like being bothered when we shop so it was great for us.

    Looks really cool!!

I love this place a lot!! It's super local for me personally, but there's so much stuff that honestly surprised me especially lesser know things! I like to go as much as I can to see what new stuff they have in stock and it usually never disappoints. The things I've gotten so far and from what I've seen, it's super high quality and isn't some cheap fake either. They have anime stuff, other Japanese characters, older retro toys, plushies, books, manga, and clothes! They also have a huge collection of Funko pops. I love this place and it's super nice!!

I didn't know if I would find anything anime-related in St. Augustine, but I found some cute figures and Tokidoki + Animal Crossing here and there's SO much to select from!! There are cheaper figures too like these 30 dollar ones I found but there's also more expensive ones that are honestly really cute! So if you're looking for something 'geeky' that's not just Star Wars or superhero related, definitely check out this store. Also the worker was so nice for holding my stuff at the counter because I couldn't carry everything while looking at other stuff, she was really sweet!

Owner Jack Tolzmann has made it fully a comic book store now, devoting space that used to be shelves of used books to more graphic novels and collectibles. I've been hunting MAD Magazines for the longest online doesn't help with people setting outrageous prices for them, once I collected my comics I asked the cashier if he had any MAD Magazines and once he said yes it was like the heaven sound I immediately left majority of the ones I had before and went through that box with an urge lol I found so many and took almost half since he had them for the best prices I didn't get the chance to get his name but the cashier knew his stuff me just browsing around and overhearing his conversation with someone else and him knowing so much about regardless of the topic I most certainly and definitely will be returning here no doubt it best service by far. The energy is always high, the vibes are immaculate, and the staff keeps the shelves stocked with a ridiculous variety of comics, collectibles, action figures, FUNKO Pops, short boxes, supplies, and more. It's literally the kind of place where you can lose an hour without even realizing it. First off, say hello to Pacer, the AMAZING shop dog and official mascot of Gotham City Limit. He's the sweetest, the best greeter, and the best browsing buddy. Who doesn't want to shop with a good boy by your side? If you don't see Ben, you'll definitely hear his greeting from somewhere in the store as that man is just nonstop. Ben's dedication shows, especially on Free Comic Book Day and special release days, when Gotham City Limit turns into a full-blown celebration. On top of that, he partners with Jacksonville Public Library when they host comic-centered events and you'll see him at different conventions throughout the year. Ben makes sure everyone, from kids to hardcore collectors, feels welcome and included. Also big love to Jonathan (one of the OGs of comic shops in Jax) and Santana, who are always ready to talk storylines, their newest recommendations, or help you find the one issue that you didn't know you were missing. My pull list will ebb and flow depending on what is being released or if I want single issues of something. However, the numero uno items that I always want to see are the latest Baby Marvel covers from Skottie Young. The team has my account tagged for those specifically, and that kind of attention to detail is incredible. It's the kind of personal touch that makes you feel truly seen as a collector and fan. Gotham City Limit is a little slice of geeky heaven in Jax and one of the last remaining locally owned comic shops in this area of town. So make sure to swing by for a visit sometime soon and, as Ben says, always take it to the limit!

Do you collect a certain set of toys and/or action figures from movies, cartoons, games, etc. of days gone by? How about a comic book? Hard to find older games? If you have ever asked yourself any of these questions in addition to many more questions...look here! There is a pretty good chance they have it, or can keep an eye out for you and get it. When you walk into this place you will be overwhelmed with what they have in such a small space...it is amazing! It definitely takes you down memory lane. The prices are fair and they take trades, but must be approved. There is plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of. His son came in at one point and helped us with the purchase of some albums. They have albums that are open and albums that are sealed, and they have a lot of genres of music to choose from. I ended up buying a Pink Floyd album that I had been trying to locate and it was sealed. I didn't want to open it because that would decrease the value so I called back to see if they had an open copy which they did so I went back the next day and bought it. I don't know I could really explain everything that's in the store. Their books, paperback and hardback. But more than that, they have first edition, signed books by the author and kids books as well. You know what else they have? They have albums, but I already mentioned that. But what I didn't mention was I have three or four rooms of albums. They're on the floor. They're in boxes. They're on racks. So if you're looking for certain music, make sure that you leave yourself enough time to look.. They also have comic books. And trade paperbacks. And graphic novels. They have baseball cards. They have garbage pail cards. They have collectibles, figures, Star Wars, stuff. Yes, lots and lots of stuff . Thoroughly enjoyed shopping here and meeting Mr. French and talking to his son. I know this may not be everybody's jam, but for me I really enjoyed spending time browsing looking and yes, buying.

This shop is filled with what I can only describe as man-cave oddities including specialty cutlery, metal models and just an array of things you don't see everyday, as well as some provisions e.g. unique coffee blends. It's not a shop that I could spend hours exploring but it definitely captured my interest long enough to look at all their offerings. There is a lot of inventory in a relatively small space. The store is very organized and the staff if very friendly so if you do visit there's no need leaving without having all your questions answered...

I was at this awesome little shop this last Saturday, 4/22- fantastic inventory for a smaller shop. There are a few shops in the area with knife selection but they're utterly inferior (but fun to check out) compared to this shop. The one thing that showed me that this shop even existed was the awesome sign that says something along the lines of, "manly toys, manly hobbies"- I had to drop in to see if the sign lived up to its claim. As I've said, I was very impressed with the offerings they've got at this shop. Wasn't just that though- both of the employees on shift were absolutely top-notch. One of them was working on a tool or busy with something iirc but when I walked by him he greeted me and told me to please let him know if there's anything he can help me with. A few minutes later I took him up on it and asked if I could take a closer look at a nice camo para 2 I had my eye on. He dropped what he was doing and said, "oh absolutely brother, no trouble at all". Love the attitude. We chatted for a good 5-10 min, the guy is super knowledgeable.. steels/general metallurgy, guns, actions, history, etc.- the guy knew darn near everything. I forgot to ask his name but he's the guy who had a grandpa who worked on design for one of the big firearm manufacturers back in the day. I had just finished eating a big meal so I was a little sleepy- wish I remembered which manufacturer as that would help identify the guy (he and I were looking at one of the bright yellow serrated H2 knives that had a depressed glass-breaker at the butt of the knife's handle- we were both confused as neither of us had ever seen that mechanism in a knife before. It pops out when you squeeze the handle with the blade closed). He was great- best interaction I've had with an employee/salesperson in a good while- he definitely belongs in sales/customer service as he was warm, welcoming, very knowledgeable, conversational, etc. I genuinely enjoyed conversing with him and will definitely be back to this shop primarily because of him (it's hard to find good help nowadays- someone who actually cares about something other than tiktok, especially in the younger generations... I should know as I'm a part of those younger gens) but also because of the solid product selection. Anyway, there was a skinnier gentleman working behind the counter as well- he was great and very helpful. TL;DR : Come visit this shop- I promise you will absolutely not regret it! Great selection (Spyderco, Benchmade, Kershaw, Microtech, CRKT, etc), great staff, and solid location. I'll be back very soon! The only thing I'd like to see different is for them to start carrying Zero Tolerance. They're absolutely fantastic knives, rock-solid and they use great steels.
