It was located nearby to my location and it reminded me of an ice cream parlor I used to frequent years ago. What I found was not the ice cream parlor that I once knew, but apparently a regional drive-in with the same name (spelled differently) Swensens (not the one I visited tonight) which is spelled Swensons. Today was a debut day for a new sandwich, which was a quarter pounder, pepperoni, mozzarella cheeseburger, complete with marinara sauce. I added a side of the mozzarella triangles (another debit today) with marinara sauce, and the Ohio, which is a specialized Gingerale soda flavored with cherry syrup. The service was outstanding, which included carhops who were running from vehicle to vehicle to ensure fast and prompt service (safely). There is no inside seating and customers can choose to eat in the vehicle complete with a tray provided or simply take the food home as a takeout option. Several desserts featuring ice cream and flavored sodas are available in addition to a strawberry shortcake and a fried cheesecake. The restaurant was well lit, with period decor for a drive-in and boosted service for over 80 years featuring their famous version of a burger. The food was served, hot and fresh with my flavored soda and I really enjoyed the experience. I may well be back soon!

The reason that place needed to close was the lack of Management, as usual. None of the workers there moved liked they needed to get anything done. Having them take an order was something you needed to hold their hand to do. I don't know how you license franchises, but you must be doing it wrong after my experience in North Olmsted and the reviews I am reading about the one in Avon. I have stopped there and am usually not real happy with my experience, but it has only been horrible twice in 2 years. It seems this is what people should expect from fast food shops nowadays. I miss the 1980's. When something went wrong at one of these places it was something to talk about because it was unfathomable how someone could mess up something like this. If workers did, they got fired and replaced. Now, you hire anyone.
