(Call it a late breakfast early lunch hahaha). It was a nice day, so happy to sit outside. Their menu is so varied and there are sooo many dog options and other things to choose from, I recommend you look at their online menu ahead of time. This definitely helps in the ordering process. Especially when you have 5 adults and a toddler. The inside is tight with only a few tables. The condiment counter can get busy too. We ordered the Mac n cheese bites for the toddler and she really enjoyed them! Yummmy she said. I had the LA - short. It was really good! Loved the onions and peppers. I should've asked for some jalapeños. It took it to the next level. My husband and dad both ordered a Long Bacon and Cheese dog. They both really enjoyed. There was also a short Kraut dog and Long Flame Dawg. My son in law was sweating from the heat on the flame dog! He gave me a few jalapeños that I put on my LA dog. We all commented that the buns and hot dogs were great quality and our various choices were perfect to our liking! We shared a SMALL fries. Wow, it was a lot! 5 people shared and it was still a lot. We also had a vanilla and banana shake. Please note the difference from a small and medium shake is only an extra $ .25. So, go for the medium! Delicious shakes! By the time we were done, there was a line out the door. The team inside did move the line smoothly! Hope to come back soon!

This weekend, I visited him and when he asked where I wanted to eat, I said, "DUH Scooters!" I love hot dogs! We weren't the only ones with that idea, and we had to circle the parking lot several times before finally finding a place to park. After that, we joined a line that stretched out the door. Once it was our turn, we both ordered the 'long' chili dog and got a 'tiny' fry and a banana shake to share. We were lucky enough to find a place to sit at the counter. While we waited I enjoyed the whimsical wall murals and people watching. Once we received our food, I happily dug in. The chili on the hot dog was unique, with corn mixed in. We were warned it would be spicy, but as Texans, we didn't find it spicy at all--though we did think it was quite tasty. The "tiny" order of fries was delicious and definitely not small in our eyes, though after seeing the massive portions others received, I suppose it was. We kept eating and eating them and still couldn't finish them. The banana shake was the perfect ending to our meal. I hope I get to eat at Scooters again. There are other hot dogs I would like to try.

The real reason for the excitement is bc this place has a crazy DIY, mix and match, build your own dog and tot/fries menu. We had basically just come from another restaurant (I say basically to soften the blow but we did, in fact, leave a restaurant before embarking on the walk to come to this place. If we weren't kinda full from that, we could have provided a more legitimate showing. GF was grossed out by the thought of other food but I was not going to succumb to the satiety Gods. I perused the menu thoroughly. I wanted something that kind of resembled a Polish boy so I went with classic slaw and bbq sauce. I added pickle relish and pimento mac and cheese for good measure. Love the vegan options (two dogs, vegan chili, there was a vegan cheese if memory serves. Some of the other options and I kid you not were spaghetti o's and peanut butter. There was literally an entire page worth. I was really planning on only having a taste but you know I ate basically the entire thing. It was spectacular. I have no other words. Worth a stop, without a doubt.

My main complaint is how dark it is inside. I understand that it's part of the vibe, but it feels a little odd for a place serving food, and I would have preferred a bit more lighting. I did get pretty sick after eating, though no one else in my group had any issues, so it may have just been bad luck on my part. The male bartender was a little grouchy, but our server was nice. Despite that, the rest of the group had a good experience, and I'd be willing to give it another try.

The footlong had chili and cheese on it which made it a "Big Daddy Footlong" and I added onions and jalapeños. The bun was ironclad, it didn't even tear when loaded up with chili. The chili is a family recipe so I've heard, it's delicious! Highly recommended. There are a variety of toppings as well, my buddy put pepperoni on his hotdog! The polish boy was insaaaaane. I smashed it in 30 seconds. Really good flavor to the sauce, goes great with the slaw. The bun did start to disintegrate but I drove back to work before eating it, so it sat for 12~ish minutes. The Food I tried the Coney Dog, the Seattle Sweet Hawk, and the Garlic Herb Fried Curds. The Seattle Sweet Hawk was the highlight--the balance of heat and cream cheese was excellent.
