I've trained with Nathan for over 2 years now and the experience has been great. He has a range of exercises that he'll choose and put together for each session depending on your needs or request. He doesn't pressure you at all for more sessions or pushing products unlike big box gyms. He's courteous, flexible, and understanding for scheduling; the facility is large, spacious, and diverse (due to it being a trainer client only gym); there are amenities like bottled water and energy drinks available in his office; and parking is easy.
There'll be monthly evaluations to gauge your performance and progress to your goals. You could ask to not do it but why? They let you know your strengths and weaknesses, areas for improvement, and help keep you aware and accountable for your actions. While I've gotten stronger, I know my weight and body fat hasn't went down much but that's my own fault for not changing diet or doing more cardio regrettably. Nathan had made many recommendations but I haven't followed it and I'll be very honest with this to the people reading: no matter how good the trainer is, the result comes from your hard work and dedication to consistency. For myself, not losing those pounds are my own fault but I'll be starting a diet soon and will try adding cardio to my daily workouts
But for strength, I definitely enjoy learning new exercises and having someone push me to new heights. I think I started in the 50s for push ups. Nathan challenged me to improve, even if it's by 1 push-up every evaluation. I kinda went really competitive on that challenge and now I'm around 130 something.
Overall the environment is chill and Nathan will help with your fitness goal. He'll teach and provide you the tools to grow while gently nudging you back on track should you start getting lazy or have been making bad health decision. I want to close with a reiteration from earlier. Don't expect any miracles if you half ass it and don't put effort per session. That's just how I see it. My mentality is to always go one step above my usual workouts when I'm with Nathan and I ask him to challenge me/kick my ass. I'm here to mix things up and to keep myself from plateauing/getting stale.
If you know your goal and are serious in actualizing it, Nathan can definitely help. read more
