I had him rewire my entire house in San Lorenzo and they did an excellent job. I ALSO called him a few months after that to install a dedicated plug for an AC in our bedroom. Really disappointed. Nate was reliable and came out to do an estimate, walked through, spent the time asking questions, took notes. Then almost a week goes by and I email him to see if he had prepared the estimate for me... Nope can't do because he doesn't have time and took another job. I needed electrical work done quickly because my refrigerator went out and I didn't want my food to spoil. I told Nate that my microwave, stove and frig all went out at the same time. He gave me some tips over the phone so that he wouldn't have to charge me if it was a simple fix. None of his suggestions worked so he stopped by. He found that my GFCI switch burned out and he installed one that he had with him. He said he would give me a better one but he didnt have one with him. So I made another appt with him so he can change the GFCI switch for an upgraded one at no extra charge! He was in and out within 30 minutes. I would highly recommend Nate!!! *Update* Nate came over one week later and was on time. He remembered everything he promised to do (changing the GFCI switch to a more updated one, putting better insulation all around the fuse box and even having the receipt ready that he forgot to give me the previous week). I can't believe I haven't rated Nate's work yet! He was 2nd out of 9 bids and I chose him not only for being the lowest price, but the most professional and knowledgeable. He runs his own company and I didn't have to deal with the middle man costs. I really wanted a new panel to replace the existing Federal Pacific Electric panel that is known for it's bad breakers, before I moved into my first home. I also wanted to replace and create new circuits for my appliances. The usual, garbage disposal on it's own circuit. Fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. He knew my time frame as delivery for the fridge, washer and dryer was coming up soon. He also has a contact within PG&E and is able to get the power disconnected extremely faster than any of the other bids that had warned I would be without power for days and that it would take days for PG&E to come out and do the disconnection, but only took Nate one. I also happen to work for PG&E on the gas transmission side, and confirmed his contact. Definitely my forever go to for all electrician services. He also installed a separate panel for my parent's hot tub. Which was a tricky endeavor considering it's location and what not. The 200amp picture on the yellow house is his work for me :) I wanted 200 for future possibility of having electric car charger, hot tub, or anything else I might want to add to the house. Nate was recommended by a friend; the recommendation turned out to be spot on. I needed a ceiling light/fan installed in my place and I was worried about the installation since I have concrete walls. In addition the fan would need to have new wiring run to it from a junction box elsewhere on the ceiling. Nate did a terrific job with the installation. Nate was incredibly professional and thorough and he even brought along extra-strengh anchors and materials to ensure the fan would be rock solid in the ceiling. It's easily the single-best improvement to my place since I moved in. He did such a great job that I had him take care of a few other small installation/to-do items I'd had on my home improvement list for awhile. We wanted to hard wire our second computer as it kept dropping on WiFi. He came out quickly, did the job cleanly, for a reasonable price and stayed many hours later than he expected because we were having problems - it turned out to be our router and had nothing to do with his work. I've used NES at my home some years back and was pleased. I am writing this review based on my experience with NES in my commercial setting. I have an auto repair business that is located in a very old building. NES installed a new switch box so each piece of heavy load equipment can be turned on or off individually. We were able to choose where the tire changer, wheel balancer, rotory lifts and air compressor went during our initial setup. NES was able to custom bend all the pipe they run wires in right on the spot, and accommodate all the non standard electrical connections our equipment required. I would give 10 stars if I could! We had Nate at our house to change out the subpanel and install a ceiling fan in our very tall stairwell. He was very thorough and answered all of my "how/why do you do that" questions. I was in the process of changing out the electrical sockets myself and he was very helpful whenever I came across anything that looked odd. His quote wasn't the cheapest, nor the most expensive. But he stuck to the quote price even though he had to come back another day to finish the job. He was really pleasant to work with and put up with my chatter. We had 2 electricians give us quotes to replace our zinsco panels. The first wanted to up-sell us and told us we needed much bigger panels and subpanel and just tons of work and at the same time didn't even know what one of the pipes from the panel was for. Nate on the other hand knew exactly what that pipe was for and what we needed and told us straight up that we did not need all that extra stuff for a house of our size. Needless to say his quote was over $3000 lower and I feel like we didn't settle at all. We had Nate replace our old Zinsco main and subpanel and move the main panel so it would meet code. We also had him instal 2 new outlets in the garage. He noticed that the circuit to the microwave outlet was way overpowered (Which means the microwave would fry before tripping it) and fixed it. He was friendly even when my puppy and toddler were being annoying and worked around my toddler sleeping in a room he needed to check. He got the work done in just 2 days. Both days we only lost power for a few hours so it wasn't bad at all. We have a little minor patch work to do at the subpanel but nothing a little putty and paint won't fix and he warned us of that in advance.
