She's very organized, always punctual, incredibly friendly, listens to--and remembers--everything you say, and will spend as much or as little time as you want discussing any specific document or part of the process to ensure you feel comfortable. You quickly feel like you've known her for years. Having grown up in her service area, she also has a ton of knowledge about both the real estate and the surrounding culture, activities, and nature. When organizing home tours she included recommendations for restaurants, parks, and shops to help give us a sense of the broader community. We would ABSOLUTELY work with her again and if she chooses you as a client, know you're in great hands.

We couldn't (and wouldn't) have been able to navigate this transaction without his counsel; he went out of his way to help us figure out how to finance it, and put our mind to ease by ensuring that our home inspections would take any surprises out of the equation down the road. Buying a house is a very emotional and stressful life-changing event. After hearing many other stories about agents that simply go through the motions to make their commission, I can promise you that Rich is your best bet if you want to feel like you truly have somebody looking after your best interests, rather than his own. Original review: Rich Curtis helped us through the process of buying our first home several years ago; I've never met anyone so willing to go above and beyond to help a first-time home buyer through the process of not just searching for a new home, but learning about the ins and outs of the deal. He walked us through every step of mortgages, escrow, financing, and the emotional roller coaster that comes with that experience. He also put his experience in home energy and environmental evaluations to good use, educating us on the best way to save on bills and keep our air quality safe from toxins. In full disclosure, Rich has become a great friend to our family, so we may be a bit biased. But I'll stake my own name on this: Rich is somebody I trust to handle the most delicate details of any realty transaction, and I continue to wholeheartedly recommend him to my closest friends.

The housing market in Sacramento is once again hitting a fevered pitch. I felt pressured to get…read moreinto a home now while I still could, but realistically had a few constraints like most first time homeowners. Rich was unbelievable in the process. Not only was he patient with my never ending questions, but he really took all factors into consideration. My personal life, the amount of money I had to spend, potential resale or rental values in the future, etc. Greenway Properties and all of the affiliated people they work with were professional, quick to respond, and exceptionally pleasant to work with. Rich never pressured me to rush into choosing a home and we wound up with a gem. He offered expertise on so many variables of home ownership and kept the whole process relaxed. Honestly, had I known buying a home was as simple and stress free as Rich and Greenway Properties made it feel, I would have done it sooner. I can't recommenced Rich highly enough!

THIS happened without even being discussed with my husband or I. Intero will NOT provide a Cancellation of Listing. We asked three times. Four, really. We refused the request to work with "new realtor" (for an abundance of reasons), and the Broker of this office stated he could have Charles Manson sell our house if he wanted. Really? We have zero 'say', as the Sellers?? He wants to strong-arm us, bully us, and our Contract says nothing about remedies for this nonsense. The Broker lied to my husband and said he has text messages that shows we interacted with another Realtor. (We don't have one, sorry.) Show us. The Intero Broker says he will NOT let us out of our contract. Intero has indeed pulled our listing from MLS. Apparently, we are in a MLS HOLD - whatever that means. What is a HOLD? Intero has collected their sign. Apparently our house will be listed in the local paper tomorrow 01/18/2019. We never approved any marketing of the house -- that's the discretion of the Realtor. Intero is now holding our home hostage until April 29th, regardless of whether we sell or not. That's fine, I suppose. We only had 5 showings in 52 days. And NOBODY came to the Open House. NOBODY. Apparently the Broker will send us an invoice of what they've spent on marketing for our home. Scammers. I can imagine how much BS that will be. Clearly we aren't paying. Why would we pay? This is a corrupt and dishonest company. There is so much more to this story. We will be filing complaint(s). The hard lesson is this: the initial Realtor was a friend of mine. I'm clearly not great at picking friends. Also important to consumers - run background checks on who you are dealing with; i.e. any Realtor. It is worth it, to do a background check, in the long run, read every review, talk to former clients, check their former listings. Now, we've asked other Realty professionals "Is this normal?" Same response, "No, this is a malicious establishment." We don't want to work with you Intero. Holding us hostage is going to damage only your reputation in the long run.

Review of Carla Ferrante. Realtor Extraordinaire…read more I had been considering selling my country vacation home and vacation rental for several years. It had been my cherished piece of paradise for 25 years; the place I would go and bring family and friends to relax and recharge together. But I knew that if I would ever get to retire, I would need to sell this precious property. When I met with Carla the first time, I let her know that I didn't know that I was ready, but I knew that I needed to sell. Carla was amazing from the beginning. She said if I changed my mind, we'd pause the listing, and we wouldn't sell it until I'm ready. In the meantime, it was time to start giving away and getting rid of lots of stuff that would not be needed in my already furnished city home. I wanted the home furnishings to go to families who had been unhoused but were getting into their own home finally, and needed stuff. Carla found out that there was a local sherif's program that did just that, and she picked up my large loads of stuff and drove away with them, 3-4 times! Poof! problem solved. Carla hired a photographer to show off the house in its best light including drones to capture a video of the bird's eye view of the house on its 11 acres of foothills. She "staged" the house with a professional eye knowing how to help buyers imagine their own stuff in the house, without having me remove all my stuff. Carla put away several things for me when I wasn't there. (I will warn you: if you have a favorite decorative or functional item that you leave out and don't want to lose track of, put it way yourself! I never did find my dog's bowl.) My house was almost a mile down a BUMPY dirt and gravel road. Lots of people came to see it and said, the house is fantastic but the road is awful. Month after month we got our hopes up because people liked it, and then. . . no offer. Carla was steady and over the 8 months it took to sell, she was there for me to talk to and calm my nerves. Meanwhile, in the background Carla arranged for every inspection that would be needed when someone showed real interest. The fire, well, septic system, termite and others I can't remember. Also, she secured a quote for insurance for the potential buyers that was lower than other homes in the area and not on the state sponsored Fair Plan. She worked with me to gather my information about every capital improvement I had done over those 25 years and there were many. Near the point of sale, I freaked out over the disclosures form I needed to fill out online. Carla calmly sat on the phone with me for almost 2 hours to help me get it done. In the end we found the perfect buyer! A family with a dad in the road building business! And they said I could come and visit so I wouldn't have to drive away for the last time knowing I'd never see that place again. I don't know how I would have been able to let go without Carla's help. She was way beyond competent and thorough. She was my real estate whisperer.

When I was moving to Placerville from San Francisco and looking for a home, Sheri really gave me guidance to understand the process, to target neighborhoods and properties that were well suited to my needs, to steer clear of potential problems I hadn't even anticipated, and her knowledge went *so far beyond* anything I could have found online or through any other method. Once I realized how helpful she could be, I relied on her more and more, and she was able to find me the perfect property. I'm certain that I never would have found this place without her! In addition to her extensive local and regional knowledge, she is a great person to spend time with during the search. She is friendly, professional, big-hearted, and obviously loves her work. She made even the tedious stuff fun and easy. It has now been almost 8 years, and Sheri continues to follow up with me a couple of times per year, maintaining a great relationship. I have referred her to other people and gotten the same excellent feedback from them about her. Choosing a realtor is a big decision for such an important event as a home purchase, and I highly recommend working with Sheri.
