My partner and I decided to drop by on a spontaneous decision when I saw the delicious liking Portuguese custard tarts on display! Anyone who grew up Chinese knows that the deliciousness that are Portuguese custard tarts took our own foodie culture by storm!
Since my partner has never had one, the only logical thing to do was to purchase 2 tarts - one for each of us.
~ Atmosphere:
It's only a tiny narrow shop with few seats. From my experience, it seemed quite busy and crowded so I would definitely drop by expecting to get your treats for takeaway.
~ Customer Service:
The staff here were quite friendly and efficient with their work. It was also cool to know that they are actually Portuguese themselves so the authenticity is definitely there!
~ Food:
I know I'm banging on about custard tarts, but that's definitely not the only thing they have to offer, with a long display case of all their delicious pastries. However, I've decided to let the tart be my only sin. Coming in at £1 each, they were definitely pretty steep compared to what I'm used to but very delicious! The pastry was flaky and the filing was creamy but not too sweet.
Since they were a bit expensive for basically one bit of food, I would probably come here sparingly. However, it would be a compete lie to say I didn't enjoy myself! read more
