I'd recently been diagnosed as having diabetes and it was important that I get a quick appointment to check for neuropathy and other diabetes related issues. I got my appointment quickly, within 2 weeks of calling, and was impressed from the get go. The office was clean and very interestingly designed... kind of a circle that you follow through the different stages of your examination. Each technician was very knowledgeable, friendly and took comprehensive notes about my visit. It was suggested that I get checked every year, just to make sure everything is still normal. This week was my third visit and, thankfully, all systems were a go!! The doctor did give me a new prescription but the changes were so minimal I don't need to fill it unless I want a new style frame. Despite the fact that the office was introducing a new computer system to its employees, there were no problems but the prelude to seeing the eye doctor took a bit longer than it normally would have. I had no problem with my insurance but be certain you have the ID card on your person. I noticed there doesn't seem to be a way for them to bypass that requirement. I like Eye Care Specialists but, and I can't speak for everyone, I'm pleased with the attention they gave me.

At 15 mins past my appt a lady went up to complain she was still waiting to see our doctor and her appointment was scheduled for 30 mins ago. At 30 mins past my appt time I was called back. I was shuffled between three different people for pre appt stuff. Put back into a back waiting room twice and finally got into a room for the Dr. During this time they left the computer unlocked to my file and it was evident I could have just clicked through their systems. At 1.5 hours past my appt time the Dr. finally comes in. No apology for running behind just a simple intro and into the appointment. He restains my eyes to read pressures after the first woman I saw just did the same thing. He completes the exam. Says the internal part of my eye are fine but he doesn't know what is causing my pain. He only specializes in the internal part of the eye and he could refer me to another doc who specializes in the outside of the eye and the surrounding tissues. I asked if he could refer me to a sooner appointment with neurology than the one I had scheduled (Dec) and his response is we don't really work closely with neurology. Regarding my intense dry eye he offered some different kind of eye drops. I asked if he had any ideas of what may be causing the dry eye and he didn't even respond. I asked if he could do a referral to a rheumatologist to test for autoimmune that could cause dry eye and he again acted like i said nothing. Overall, I would absolutely never recommend this practice. Horrible scheduling and terrible patient care.

I had to see someone who would remove the cancer then I would be put in the fall and wait for the plastic surgeon to put me back together. I had the surgeon literally scream at me. Then he told me. It was a nightmare. I ran out of there and never look back.. I called Dr. Massaro, who I knew from children's Hospital we're he worked Repairing the burned faces of children. I am cancer free for years. And I dare you to find a spot where Dr. Massaro performed surgery. I had a friend who had surgery about the same time. She was black and blue from head to nose. She was swollen, and in pain, while I had no bruising no swelling and no pain. The other rating can't possibly be right. I don't believe these ladies were RN's. Dr. Massaro is the miracle doctor. My wife was advised by ProHealth Urgent Care to go to Froedtert for a CT Scan after being hit by a…read moregolf ball. The CT Scan was performed and no special problem was noted. However, when the bill arrived, an additional charge was made for a visit to the Urgent Care facility which is inside the entrance from the parking lot to the Emergency Room. No actual medical service was asked for and none was given. When we disputed the charge, and pointed out that we would have had no reason to visit a second urgent care facility, particularly since Froedtert is not an "in-network" urgent care covered by our insurance. Froedtert was adamant in demanding payment, ignoring the fact that my wife was never taken into a private room (required for privacy at urgent care facilities) and not examined at all. This led me to submit a complaint to the State of Wisconsin Consumer Protection Agency. The actual service was fine -- but the billing was false and Froedtert subsequently informed us that the demand would be turned over to a collection agency if I refused to pay.

My nurse care significantly varied from shift to shift - two were excellent, a few were okay, a few provided poor care (and need more training). Housekeeping was friendly and daily exchanged towels, but did not keep the bathroom clean or paper products stocked. This caused a bit of safety and health concern for me. Also, staff rarely brought me water - thankfully, my husband was able to do that for me. Meal service was not good, but the children's one in the basement of the hospital is great. I was grateful to have Children's NICU on hand and I received excellent care from my ob-gyn. However, the anesthesiologist and resident I had were awful. And the lactation consultant assistance was significantly lacking. Aside from hospital stay, I do recommend the maternal fetal care center and the breast cancer center. The receptionists are super friendly and helpful in scheduling; staff is friendly and efficient and the physicians are top notch.

The procedure is supposed to be generally simple and feeling back to normal normal in 2-3 days. I went back for my 3 month follow up yesterday and something was messed up. BEWARE!!
