This place opens up at 0700, one of the few places around my neighbourhood in the Leopoldstadt district that actually serves breakfast this early. I got myself a good sized Austrian-style continental breakfast with rolls, butter and jam, cheese, cold cuts, coffee, orange juice, and a soft-boiled egg. A colleague of mine had the bacon and eggs, which also looked pretty good as well. I saw a bunch of champagne bottles around, which sort of reminds me of a champagne brunch that we have on Sundays at the Ak-Chin Harrah's Casino back in my hometown in Arizona (though of course, not as large or extensive). I like the fact that they open this early; it isn't like you're going to find an IHOP or Denny's in Vienna, so I suppose this is a good substitute if you want a decent breakfast at this hour. In addition to breakfast, they also serve sandwiches, light meals, and typical café pastries and cakes. It's a pretty decent place to go. read more
