Narrows Crossing had been recommended by a friend of mine whose parents have a summer home in Wareham. We were glad we took their advice and stopped in for a late lunch. This place is nothing fancy and is what I would describe as a low-key, casual, friendly, local restaurant We were greeted very warmly upon entering and told to sit wherever we would like. There were a few people eating at the bar and maybe two other tables with diners. We sat at a booth next to the windows which overlooked the Wareham River. Pretty view! We had a lovely and helpful waitperson who came right over with menus. We asked for ice water, a sauvignon blanc for me and a local beer for my husband. I am a fan of fish and chips so this was what I ordered when I saw it on the menu. My husband went back and forth with a couple of choices but ultimately he got the fish and chips too. We were both very glad we did. Some places don't get it right and over-fry or over-batter the fish so ordering fish and chips isn't always so straight forward even here in seafood-centric New England. The haddock was lightly breaded and perfectly and freshly fried. It tasted clean and light meaning the breading was not at all heavy, it was just a suggestion of a coating and the fish tasted fresh and sweet. It was a simple dish, as it should be and so delicious. It came with fries which were also very good and a small side of coleslaw...I wish there had been more of the tangy coleslaw. I eat my fries the New England way (which is really adopted from the English way) with malt vinegar and like all good seafood places in these parts, malt vinegar is readily available. We rarely get dessert but when the waitperson told us they had Grape-Nut pudding on the menu we ordered a dish of that to share. Grape-Nut Pudding is a classic, old-timey New England dessert. It should be served warm, and it is really a tasty comfort food. When I see it on a menu, I will almost always order it. As an aside, It's easy to make. If you google it, several recipes will come up including my favorite one which is from Yankee Magazine. The Grape-Nut pudding here came out warm with a dollop of whipped cream and was not too sweet (grape-nut pudding shouldn't be) and was really delicious. This was a perfect place to stop for a good seafood lunch in a clean and unpretentious local place. We look forward to a return visit.

Awesome Staff the owners should be proud Breakfast is our go to but we also love dinner and after dinner drinks We love this place....

    Eggs Benedict was Delicious

Absolutely the best Eggs Benedict ever, and the french toast all 6 pieces with Hot Maple Syrup was great. With my Eggs B the home fries were hot hot hot and just perfect. Got an extra English Muffin and it was toasted and buttered just right. Had dinner there a couple of nights ago and the Marianated Sirloin tips were very good, The Scallops and Full Belly Fried Clams were awesome, so all was not just very good but the clincher was the BREAD PUDDING served hot with a side of Vanilla Ice Cream wow wow wow

Stopped in here coming home from the cape and we will return for the excellent food at incredible prices. The overall ambiance was a no frills local pub which I personally love, plus outdoor seating next to the water is always appreciated. I got the stuffed haddock; as classic and simple as it sounds it was anything but! Everything was cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection! But the homemade desserts here really were the cherry on top! We got the strawberry shortcake and bread pudding, both some of my favorites and these were astounding. The bartender Steve is also a delightful staple here and for good reason, more than just the harmonica show :) highly, highly recommend!

Stopped in for breakfast. Casual place where many locals seem to go. Friendly staff and enjoyed my omlette. Limited menu, but food was tasty...so they made it for it!

NEW FAVORITE! We are in town for business every Sept/Oct for about 6 weeks. We have tried to visit…read morethis place many times before, but they always closed for the season. Now they are staying open later in the season and we are SOOOOO happy! This place ROCKS! Cute little place, love the outside deck, but let's get real, it's all about the food! We've been twice now. I got the small (yeah, right) lobster roll and clam chowder combo both times I came. FIrst, I don't know who can eat the Monsta one, not I. The "small" is bigger than anyone else's I've seen. If you look closely at the last pic I posted of the lobster roll, there is an ENTIRE lobster in there. There is a full, uncut lobster tail, and two full, uncut claws, and a ton of other meat around it. Full lobster kids. The grill on the bun is perfect. While the bun is hot, the lobster itself is served cold and undressed, but with warm drawn butter on the side. MMmmmmmmmm. It's my fav lobster roll hands down. Both times I've had a few of the raw littlenecks. So good. Also last time, the BF went with me and he had the Cuban sandwich, as he is not a fan of clams or lobster (I know, and I stay with him anyway). This Cubano was INSANE good! I had a couple bites. We both love a Cubano, and this is probably the best one either of us have ever had. Great bread, and it's HUGE! All in all, great place, great food, great vibe, friendly peeps. Can't wait til next September! Woohoo!

Service- CHECK MAI TAI- worse I ever had…read moreChowder- too cold to eat & definitely not as good as other places I get chowder on the Cape Quahog- too greasy to eat Salad with chicken on it? Well my husband did go ahead and eat it- but nothing to write home about. The fried food-fries & quahogs - never had a bad one at the Falmouth location. The Mai Tai was completely watered down, but talking amount of alcohol-I prefer a drink that isn't too heavy in booze, but the juice/mixer was like so filtered it wasn't even good. We were really looking forward to coming to his Onset location for lunch, been eating at Quahog Republic since Mashnee Island- I go back to the days of The Dr. Flynn Mai Tai- this meal and the drinks may fly for tourists, but this local is NOT COMING BACK. Addendum: because my husband sent his quahog back, because our quahogs were SUPER GREASY & I sent my chowder back to be warmed up (because it arrived tepid) - the waitress pro-actively took the Quahogs off the bill & my chowder. We didn't actually, "complain " about anything, just those 2 things-the rest we didn't say a thing, it wouldn't change a thing, if we had. We didn't go to the Quahog Republic for free food in a nice waterfront setting- we went there for the good food we have become accustomed to from The Quahog Republic & sadly the food & cocktails seem to have gone down hill. Looks like we will be sticking to the location in Falmouth- they haven't let is down, yet.

Been going to the Lobster Pot, in Bourne right before the Bourne Bridge where you cross over to…read moreCape Cod, for most of my life. It's the perfect place for families. You order and pick up your order. Very casual. It's the same owner the whole time I've been going. Mostly get steamers which are the best. No sand and not broken. If you like seafood it's the freshest. You can even pick your own lobster. I've seen really big ones over 6 pounds. I think the service is excellent also. It's not fine dining but it's what you do on Cape Cod, be casual and live like a local. Sun, water and fresh seafood, couldn't get better.

This place has nostalgia written all over it for me! Last time I was here was about 20+ years ago…read morewith my grandparents, who took my family on a trip up and down the East Coast. I finally paid a visit back to the old lobster pot, which is still as good as I remember. I wouldn't say staff was overly friendly here, but they weren't unpleasant by any means, although I think they could've been more friendly. The restaurant itself is a cute little place that feels a lot like New England. It's got lobster tanks, your standard New England seafood, and nothing fancy about it. For my meal, I ordered the scallop plate, which came with fried scallops and french fries, as well as coleslaw. I also ordered a side cup of their New England clam chowder, which was unbelievable. Everything about the meal was absolutely delicious. The only real "complaint" I have about this place is the price of the food. While I know, seafood isn't cheap, our meals to feed three adults was over $100. Certainly not what I expected from this little place. All in all, fantastic experience and I would definitely visit again, especially for the nostalgia. The only thing holding me back from becoming a regular is the price tag.
