Vivint's equipment is decent, but the way they do business is seriously problematic. I was flat-out…read moremisled during the sales process. I asked specifically about damage to my rental home, and both the sales rep and installer told me Vivint would repair everything when I moved. That was completely false. When I moved to my new home, surprise: undisclosed $150 removal and $150 installation fees. And even worse--they suddenly "don't do" hole repair at all. So the one issue I made crystal clear during the sale was ignored just to close the deal. Customer service wasn't any better. When I expressed frustration, the rep reminded me the call was recorded (for no reason). He verbally offered to cover handyman costs, but nothing was ever documented. Their chat team couldn't pull up the call notes to verify anything. The tech works, but the sales tactics are slimy and the support is inconsistent. If you move forward with Vivint, get everything in writing. Verbal assurances mean nothing.

We experienced a last-minute delay due to a hardware failure, but Next Level gets points for discovering it in their labs before trying to implement, which could have been very disruptive to our residents. Installation and configuration was done in one day, as planned. Vincent did a terrific job with the install, cabling, configuration and testing. On the back end, Seldon had all of our residents pre-loaded into the new system and their transition experience was nearly seamless, he was also very responsive in addressing technical issues.
