First time here and it's actually peaceful! Get here early because spots fill up on the outside considering the views are beautiful. Stop here before heading to other wine vineyards. I was happy with the rip rap choice it was a great taste, light and flavorful, easy to drink while sitting outside. The service was quick when ordering and they stayed away with the occasionally "everything good ". There's dogs roaming around but they are good dogs don't really bother and are super friendly. read more

THE BIG: A little off of the 290 strip, but gorgeous views of Hill country and lots of wild flowers to boot. Purely Texas wines. Plenty of parking space and tasting room is a bit tiny. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We first went to the tasting room in downtown Fredericksburg before we had to come try out the winery in Hye. The views here are gorgeous and it was pretty busy coming in. Fortunately we were able to be seated next to the windows. The wife and I shared a flight so we wouldn't get too schwastey. It came with 5 wines. The tasting came with the Roussanne, Viognier, Cinsault rose, Sangiovese, Rockpile red blend, and the cab sauv. My favorite was the sangiovese and the rose. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall a tasting was ~$25 and I would definitely recommend to come back and check out the views with a few friends with a bottle of wine. read more

Narrow Path is a gem in the Hill Country that is both elegant and serves up some quashable wine. The four of is all did the Spring wine tasting: the 2022 Marsanne was our favorite white, while the 2020 Summit Trail Red (50/50 Cab/Syrah) was our favorite red. Great staff with wonderful stories to share as they walked us through each wine. The bubbles we sampled after were outstanding! The cost for sampling 6 wines was an absurdly low $25 and whether you sit inside or outside, there is A/C and shade everywhere. As I said, the vibe and atmosphere are elegant--gardens, trees, flowers, and the vines themselves are all in view as you sit either in a new building, out on the wrap-around porch, or in one of the open cabanas, and this is a place I don't want to leave as we go to hit other Texas vineyards. This winery is beautiful inside and out. The outdoor patio sitting areas are comfortable and relaxing. Staring at the vines and watching all the birds and insects around the patio was just relaxing. Maggie the black dog was friendly and kept us company. It's off the beaten path so you don't hear the freeway noise. A must visit winery when heading to Fredericksburg. The staff was super Friendly! Narrow Path is a hidden gem. Off the main wine trail on 290, you can escape the big bus bachelorette parties and sit down to enjoy a fabulous glass of wine and delicious snacks . I must admit, I came for the wine and kept coming back for the baked Brie and the amazing outdoor seating overlooking the vineyard. After visiting 4 or 5 times we finally became members and look forward to returning often! Bonus: bathrooms are always clean!! read more

This Winery is our most Favorite and a must visit hidden gem off the beaten 290 wine path, for sure worth the little extra drive. The wine, food, staff, & views are all refreshing and fabulous. I am a member and I love trying all of the wines in every shipment, they are all so great, but I am a fan favorite of ALL of the Reds. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and so so friendly, and make you feel special; Erica has waited on us a couple of times and she is magnificent and makes the experience so great, she is friendly and very personable. Added bonus is that there are couple of dogs (labs) around the winery, and they are the sweetest and want to hang out with everyone. Will continue to highly recommend this winery and visit each time we are in the area. read more

I was referred to this winery and the wine here certainly delivered. My family and I went with the $15 sampler (meant to be for 5 wines but our server let us taste all the wine on the list) Our wine server was extremely friendly and told us a lot of the wine we were drinking. Every wine we had was very delicious! My personal favorites were the Dreamchaser Blanc and Dreamchaser (Merlot), both of which were reasonably sweet but also fragrant and floral. We ended up buying a few bottles (which also allowed us to comp 2 of our samplings!). Regarding the overall ambience, the winery is beautiful, even in winter when the trees have lost color. While Narrow Path also has a tasting room in downtown Fredericksburg, I would highly suggest going to their actual winery where the tasting room gives you both the comfort of home and the classiness of a lounge. I would love to go when the weather is nicer to take advantage of their plethora of outdoor seating. I certainly plan on going here again! read more

Narrow path is amazing! We were greeted by Bill as we were walking in, and Paloma was so friendly, fun, and helpful for our group of 9. The winery is beautiful inside and out, with seating options inside and outside. They offer a chartreuse board or bread, but allowed us to bring in outside snacks. Unfortunately they were out of the dream chaser wine, and expect it back in around the holidays, but the rest of the wines were all delicious.we started with the wine tasting, then moved out group outside and split a couple of bottles. Between the friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and delicious wines, this is my favorite winery I've been to in the area. We will for sure be back. read more

I celebrated my birthday with a group of girlfriends and this was the 2nd stop on our tour. As soon as I exited the bus, I was in love! It is a small winery but very beautiful! Easy five stars here! More if we could. Allison was fantastic. We were unsure of what we wanted and she let us sample a few reds. All were delicious, but we chose the select red blend, got a bottle and sat outside in their comfy atmosphere. We also ordered the 1/2 charcuterie board that was delicious! It had olives, different cheeses, apple slices, dried apricots, figs, speciality crackers,, hard salami, and grapes. We also had some bread and olive oil. All was very tasty. We joined this winery as members a couple of years ago when local Sommelier Bill (now at French Connection) joined up with then after leaving Ron Yates and lured us in (fortunately not the first pallet membership). This is one of the few wineries still selling at reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and we always have a good time visiting with them. We love the outdoor seating areas. They always have some wine we love along with some that is some we don't, but they always make sure we get the wine we like with our membership. read more

Beautiful views, great wine, but the worst service we have had in visiting over 25 wineries over the last 4 years of coming to Texas wineries at least twice a month. Started our tasting with great service until we told them we only wanted to buy a bottle, mentioned the next winery we we're headed to, and share a tasting rather than buy glasses of wine. We ended up chasing them down after 30 min of no service. Was billed for a full tasting that was incomplete and given our bottle. We used to recommend the winery, but based in this experience, there is better service and wine that is better.. read more

First time we came here loved it so much we joined the wine club. We came to pick up and service was meh. Paloma is a delight but John needs a little more tact talking to people. We had a shipment delivered to an old addy (even though we only asked for pick up). Its been a month since they attempted delivery. But instead of calling the sister winery 20 min away and seeing if they have the return John said try calling in 5 or 6 days to see what we can do. Really? Customer service is non existent here. Too bad. Wine is decent. For being off the main wine trail you would figure that you would want to cater to your wine members. Personal recommendations go a long way these days.
