What happened?!!?…read more Let me start by saying this place used to be AMAZING! Beautiful wine list, long list of Italian liqueurs, beautiful seasonal menu done expertly, and an attentive staff. It knocked our socks off and we raved about it to everyone who would listen. My husband and I went back for a nice dinner after a period of 6 or so months and were appalled at the changes. It's a completely diff restaurant. Now they have a very small menu printed on computer paper of basic (boring) Americanized Italian dishes like spaghetti and fettuccine Alfredo and pizza, only a handful of wines (like basic red or white), no more after dinner liqueurs, a short basic cocktail list, and to be honest, service was not great. Our food took an hour to get to us and was cold. The kitchen looked like they were working without a head chef and was staffed by a couple of young boys who looked straight out of high school (no ageism intended but clearly they were misguided and are not professionals). The tomatoes in our Caprese salad were mushy and over ripe. The eggplant parm was dry and cold. We complained and were able to get some money off the bill but we are so extremely heartbroken by the drop in quality! For the prices they are charging they are smoking crack. We likely won't be back unless they go back to they restaurant they used to be. I won't be surprised to see this one go out of business if this is the route they continue to take. :(

We came in on a Sunday night for our first visit and were seated right away with no wait. I ordered…read morethe eggplant parm, which was very good and came with a side of pasta and sauce. We also had two small caesar salads, both fresh and enjoyable. My husband ordered penne with vodka sauce, which traditionally includes cream and has that classic pink color. What he was served was penne with marinara. I mentioned to the waitress that it didn't look like vodka sauce, and she checked with the cook. He insisted it was vodka sauce, even though it clearly wasn't. We were polite and ate it -- the marinara itself was delicious -- but it simply wasn't vodka sauce, and that put a damper on the dish. One recommendation: if their version of "vodka sauce" doesn't include cream and is actually marinara, the menu should clarify that. It's odd to call marinara "vodka sauce," and it would help if the staff and cooks were familiar with the difference. Vodka sauce is one of my favorites, so it was disappointing to order it and not receive the real thing. Aside from the sauce issue, everything else was positive: fast service, a pleasant waitress, and good food overall. We'll try the Buford location next and would return again.

We had a reservation for dinner on 12/20 at 6:30 pm. Knowing it was the holiday season and that Dahlonega is a popular destination, we intentionally made a reservation so our family could enjoy a relaxed dinner together during our visit. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several ways. Cons: Despite having a reservation, we waited an excessive amount of time to be seated. Once seated, our table was visibly dirty. When a server finally came by, bread was delivered without plates, utensils, or napkins, which required an additional long wait. Service throughout the meal was extremely slow. We watched several other parties arrive, dine, and leave while we were still waiting. The chicken piccata was not prepared correctly and tasted more like a sour Alfredo-style sauce. The steak was chewy and not cooked as ordered. Pros: We received a small complimentary cannoli for a birthday, which was appreciated. The ambiance was festive and nice for the holidays. Had we known about the level of service and food quality ahead of time, we would have chosen to dine elsewhere during our visit. It's disappointing to say, but based on this experience, I would not retur

The overall look of the restaurant/bar on the outside and inside is great, no complaints. Once the…read morefood hit the table is when everything fell apart, starting with the house salad. The house salad was made up of greens that were not clean, the lettuce was old where they were it was cut as you can see in the pictures and the dressing which was homemade vinaigrette was completely 100% oil. The baked Italian sub was not baked at all, the cheese was not even melted on the sandwich. The garlic breadsticks which we were told were phenomenal were frozen or store-bought breadsticks that were heated up in the oven. You would think in a pizzeria restaurant that they would make their own breadsticks. Every pizzeria in the free world makes their own breadsticks fresh. The cheese and pepperoni pizza which they say is a crowd favorite came to the table and was nothing but a pool of grease. I am not being critical, I'm being real. The waitress (Hailey) was very nice, but it seemed like a whole lot of people standing around to me to not get things right. For 2 people spending $45 for lunch I would expect a little more attention to what the menu says and what you serve. If you say, baked on the menu, then bake the sub long enough to melt cheese.
