A welcome surprise of a truly fantastic meal after touring The Breakers and before driving north to a hotel. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was the lovely scent of flowers--maybe an artificial scent but I couldn't tell since beautiful cut flowers and live flowers decorated the room. Everything I ate was top-notch, from the Red Curry to the sticky rice. The house salad was big, fresh, and so delicious with the peanut dressing. The restaurant is clean and lovely. I am vegan so ordered tofu in my curry. It was perfectly cooked. The staff was attentive and friendly. (my only criticism is the cell phone conversation by staff I had to listen to throughout my meal--so tinny and annoying. I came between meal hours so was the only guest at the moment. Worst experience I've had! I ordered the noodles with veggies & chicken for takeout. Within an hour of finishing it, I got seriously sick. Ate here recently on a work trip on my way out of Newport. I ordered the pad see ew noodles. The food was very good but it took forever to be served. When I finally got my check, I was running late for my next gig ( in theory I should have had enough time to have a fairly relaxing meal and be on my way ) However, between the long lag to get my food and the fact they accidently rang up someone else's meals on my credit card ) it took forever to leave which was very upsetting as it took two different employees and a call to a third one to void the incorrect charges and create a correct bill. This was our third time coming to NaPha Thai Kitchen. My wife is Thai and a foodie. When I asked her where she wanted to go for dinner this was her choice ( that says a lot with all the Thai options in the area). A very nice atmosphere and excellent service. We started with Mangoes Roll and Port Gyoza. The Mangoes rolls have a wonderful look and fresh taste and I highly recommend giving them a try. I had the Massaman short ribs for my main course and it was wonderful. Yes it is a mild curry but flavorful and the beef just melted in your mouth. My wife had the Pad Krapow and enjoyed her meal also. I had the ChaMaNao (Thai lemon Iced Tea) for the first time and loved it, very refreshing. read more

Absolutely amazing all around place. Food outstanding and the staff was so friendly. We had the mangoes roll for an app. So fresh tasting! . I got the tom yum soup as well. Prob the best I've ever had..absolutely delicious!! . I could have eaten that all day. And for dinner we both got the pineapple fried rice..had mine with crispy chicken(photo) and my boyfriend had his with shrimp. Sooo sooo good. I didn't want to get full cause the food is that good. The chicken was tender, the noodles had a perfect bite, and the broth was deliciously rich and complex. TLDR: Great thai food, will definetaly be returning. Everything we had was delicious. The service was good--nothing out of the ordinary. The ambiance was good--nothing crazy. We got pork gyoza, tom yum soup, massaman curry, and red curry. Everything was really good. Gyoza was thick and pan fried and the sauce was great. The soup was honestly the best tom yum soup i've ever had and I get it at every thai place I go. Both curries were very flavorful and were good portions. The massaman was some of the most flavorful i've ever had. We didn't get any drinks beside hot tea which was good. All and all, I would highly recommend. Be careful of the owner/manager aggressively accusing you of not paying as if they are less than mentally stable. Been here several times for dine-in and take away. TWICE, (yes, on two DIFFERENT occasions) the owner/manager has chased me outside to accusatorily ask if I paid instead of using their powers of observation to conclude that, I have, in fact, paid for my meal, at the register, in their full view. Add to that the experience of listening to the same person (presumably) question if a patron has paid repeatedly while I was "on hold" to place my pickup order. This establishment needs better business practices for ascertaining whether or not patrons have honored their obligation to pay for food other than chasing and accusing them like a shoplifter. Words to describe my experience: Insulting. Offensive. Ridiculous. I will tell everyone I can and their friends too. Don't go to this restaurant unless you enjoy accusations of thievery directed at you. This place is on the banned list now. Pro tip: Usually handing a guest their take away food indicates the conclusion of the transaction. Duh. read more

Food was VERY good. I had the red curry with fish. A little more expensive than many Thai places, but I think the quality in commensurate with the increase (it was worth it). I asked for spice and they gave me spice! The worst is when they see a white guy ask for spice and are afraid to really dial it up. That only thing I'm disappointed in is we didn't try this place sooner. So upon entering, there are four parking spaces in the front. Luckily we got one, but hopefully there are more in the back. The restaurant is so cozy with two fireplaces and Christmas decor. There was only one person working in the front of house, which I was worried about at first. However, it did not delay service as everything was prompt. My partner and I started off with Jasmine hot tea and their ChaThai, as Thai sweet iced tea. The hot tea was pretty standard, but the ChaThai was so tasty. For appetizers, we got the crispy rolls, calamari, TomYum with shrimp, and pancakes. Sorry, I can't remember the exact name of the pancakes. I think it was chive pancakes. The crispy rolls and calamari were freshly fried and came with tasty sauces that accompanied them so well. The TomYum soup was very flavorful and just what I needed on a cold evening. I did not care very much for the pancakes. They had a gelatinous type texture and came with a sauce that reminded me of blackstrap molasses. That is not saying it was not good, just not my taste. My partner absolutely loved the pancakes. For dinner, we got the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and the red curry with vegetable. Both so delicious. My only complaint is it was a bit difficult to eat the pineapple fried rice. It may have been a bit easier if it was cut longitudinally than being cut at the top. Every time I tried to spoon it out in the beginning, rice and cashews would fly out. But otherwise it was flavorful and very aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, we weren't able to try the coconut or mango ice cream. They were out! Our server was pleasant and I loved the atmosphere. Will come back as it is our new favorite Thai place in the area. read more

Drove by on our way to our special BBQ spot but unfortunately, they were closed. Notice the Thai restaurant and decided to come and try it out. Ordered cashew chicken stir fry asked not to be spicy and it came out with the perfect amount of spice and great amount of cashews. Delicious! read more

Ordered takeout on a Saturday night because I wanted to try the new Thai spot in town for the first time. The order was estimated to take 20-25 online when placed. I then got an email confirmation that said it would take 45 mins. I showed up to pickup my food at the estimated pickup time via the email and was not greeted at the door. I stood there for 15 minutes while no one approached me. Multiple people waited behind me and still no one approached to ask if we needed assistance. I then had to flag a server down to attempt to cancel my order in which I then waited another 10 minutes for her to acknowledge me again. Poor business practices and would not recommend. Was finally told it was ready and was handed food quickly. All she said was "sorry" and made no eye contact. Will not be returning. read more
