I cannot say enough about Dr. Nelson and her practice. I consider myself so lucky 26 years ago when someone suggested going to talk to her practice and using her as our family's pediatrician. I am forever thank you for that advice. Their office was so great in handling any situation that arose with my children. No matter what the question, their office always returned phone calls within an hour, followed up with us - and had availability for us for emergency appointments (typically within an hour) - to address possible ear infections, rashes, illness, etc. As a first time mom, I know we had at least a few out of office calls to Dr. Nelson - and she ALWAYS returned our call and answered our questions. When out of state, and kids came down with ear infections, she was always available for us via phone. No matter what the time/day - we felt we always could rely on her and her office to provide us with the best care and advice. My kids absolutely loved her! To the point where it was almost impossible for her to get rid of them. They called her throughout their college year for questions - and the office was always willing to see and/or talk with them. I don't know of any other office that gives such personalized love and caring for their patients. She took time to know each child and they absolutely knew it and trusted her. If she is ever available to take on patients, you should jump at the opportunity!

He is an epitome of kindness, sweetness, care and love. We have a long story to share. Our baby was born via surrogacy and faced many health related challenges and I always thought to find the best pediatrician in IL even if I had to drive hours. My colleague referred me over to Dr. Olsen because Dr. Olsen was his twins boys's pediatrician and was very satisfied because his twins were premie and Dr. Olsen took care of them very nicely. I scheduled an appointment for my new born and I don't regret doing that. I wish I had my Gynecologist as dedicated as Dr. Olsen is. Dr. Olsen doesn't make you rush as he makes sure your all questions are answered and you are highly satisfied. My new born baby was only 28 days old when he had 103.7 fever and we had to rush to near by ER and the diagnosis were "UTI" which is very rare in new born males. ER Doctor called Dr. Olsen overnight and informed him of the situation. Dr. Olsen's Nurse Keri called us early in the morning and asked if our son was ok and if we were ok. Not only that, but Dr. Olsen kept following up and checking every day. I can swear that no one can be as sweet as Dr. Olsen. He didn't treat these lil munchkins like his patients but like his own babies. I love chatting and talking with Dr. Olsen as he has got good sense of humor and takes your stress away. God Bless Dr. Olsen for saving my son's life by referring us to number1 Urologist in IL. I give unlimited stars to Dr. Olsen and his staff. We need ore dedicated Doctors like Dr. Olsen. When I called, the receptionist was the sweetest thing in the world and I thought, SOLD!! I scheduled the hubby and I to come in for their expecting parents session. We got a mini tour of the office and met with a nurse practitioner. It was good and informative enough for us! We currently see Dr. Harenburg mainly and occasionally Dr. Liber...love them both! The nurses are so incredible with our girls and always go above and beyond. We have seen almost all of the doctors but Dr. Roberts is our favorite. Most recently, our infant daughter had RSV and was hospitalized due to it. Dr. Roberts followed up with a phone call several times to check in on us while we were at the hospital. Here's the thing to know about PHA--you will wait a LONG time to see a nurse and you will get a…read moreLONG time with a really excellent doctor who listens to you and makes sure every last question is answered. I'm not sure if those two things are related but that has been our experience for the last 8 years with 3 kids. Seriously--bring a notebook and don't plan to get out of there within 60 minutes. Dr. Shakir and Dr. Gronli are our great favorites, but each doctor we have interacted with at the different branches has been very good, and I think most or many at West Chicago are bilingual. Biggest tip: the West Chicago location does not have its own phone number. You will be directed to the main office location in Naperville which is extremely busy. Two hacks for avoiding the long wait on hold: --Schedule your next checkup at the end of each visit (obviously) --Start a conversation via text in order to schedule an appointment or get a call back from a nurse with the main phone number. I didn't know this until another patient's parent told me because it is not well advertised, but it saves a ton of time. Would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone. Five wholehearted stars
