This is truly a great little hardware store, right in the heart of downtown Centralia! It feels…read morelike a throwback to yesteryear, having a hometown hardware store like this, where the staff is friendly and they have a good mix of lots of things that you need for your projects. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by whomever is working and respectfully asked if there is something you need help with. This is appreciated and valued because it's done in a way that doesn't come off as intrusive or annoying (as sometimes it can be felt that way at other stores). Anderson's prides itself as being a hometown store, having a good selection of what's needed, and providing high quality customer service. They might not be big in size, but they have a lot of products that you can't find at other big box hardware stores ... along with big sized care and commitment to finding what you need. They arrived on the date stated, and would communicate with us each day what the daily goals were. The men stayed each day until they met their goal. The crew was extremely respectful, honest and knowledgeable in their field. The prep work and installation was done masterfully and to perfection. Our job was not an easy one, as it's an old house with all of the old house quirks. They had to remove a bunch of challenging tile and ensure the floor was level. It was HARD work, and they did it all with smiles on their faces. The energy they brought to the work site each day was truly positive. They even finished a day early! My guard was up due to our other recent contractor experiences that were sub-par at best, but they quickly broke down my barriers, and I was truly sad to see these nice young men go. I would recommend this team of people to others without hesitation.

First off, Home Depot in Chehalis must be the happiest Home Depot I've ever walked in! Smiling faces from everyone. We were on the hunt for the globe Electric LED dinosaur lamp, we checked online and saw that they had 8 left. When we got to the store, they didn't have them on the shelf but the young man that worked there, his name was JOSE, asked if we were looking for something (yeah we looked lost) He checked and noticed that they came in today and he went to check! He came back with a box and handed one over! He made my daughter so happy and his customer service was 5 Star! Above and beyond! From now on when I need anything from Home Depot, this will be the store I shop at! Overall one of the best experiences I had in a hardware store, and I'm in the middle of remodeling my house, so what does that tell you! Thank you Home Depot Chehalis! And by apolitical I mean he's not a Trump supporter, which makes it uncommonly pleasant to shop there. He and his wife Laura are pillars of the community and a fantastic resource about all things Mossyrock, and in fact they maintain a flyer with local numbers of various businesses of especial use to new residents. When I first moved here I don't know what I would've done without both the store and their list, and I shop there to this day, even when I could save a few pennies online. They hire fantastic employees who know what they're doing too. Best possible customer service. And if they don't have it in the store (though believe me it's downright amazing the breadth of inventory they have for such a small town) they can order anything you need quickly. Highest possible recommendation - if I could give them 10 stars I would do! Also dog friendly!

Personally, I find The Home Depot and Lowes way too overwhelming and loud. At Lincoln Creek, I feel like I'm walking into the hometown hardware store that I went to with my dad as a kid. With a smiling greeting at the door, a "what can I help you with" attitude, and a friendly, good-natured personality ... Lincoln Creek has it down. Sure, their prices can be a wee bit higher than those mentioned above. However, the staff is very kind and helpful. They all know where items are and don't need to "call" anyone to figure out which aisle something is in. Their selection is pretty darn good for not being a big box store, with me finding pretty much everything I need at each visit. Sometimes they don't have what I need, but it's rare that I can't find an alternative. The best part of the store is Larry and the paint department. Larry is the paint master, being able to match colors perfectly and tinker with the formulas to make them work. They stock B. Moore which is even better. Lastly, they have a very large Lumber department in which you can find most anything that you need. The only section that needs some love and is routinely lacking is the garden/plant section. Their selection of plants, flowers, etc. is pretty sad. All in all though, Lincoln Creek is our first stop. I like it. The kids like it. It's a safe, good place to go. They will keep on seeing our faces there.

Outside of super high volume discounts at big box stores, ONY Hardware is undercutting The Big Guys on most common hardware store items.
