Every session was dynamic. In the past 5 months that we've trained together, we have never duplicated a single workout! She keeps it fun, interesting and motivating. I'm always excited (and nervous) to see what she has in store for me each session. Christina has impacted my life and for that I'm very appreciative. Having suffered sports related injuries in the past, as well as two C sections, there were times where I was uncomfortable with certain exercises. Her background in Corrective exercise and collaboration with physical therapists served well in adapting workouts so I could maximize movements in the safest possible way. But it doesn't stop there. I've worked with trainers in the past and although they gave me a good workout & some basic education, they never left me with the confidence that I could eventually do all those things on my own Christina not only encouraged me through frequent check ins and holding me accountable on our "off days" but also by being the example. She practices what she preaches including stretching, diet & self care (all things I struggle with). What has left the deepest impression is that she believed in me more than I did myself. When I came in for a workout not feeling like being there, she worked me extra hard. When she showed me an exercise and I said "There's no way I can do that!" She proved me wrong. Once I arrived after watching an episode of "Hard Knocks" and I was describing a crazy workout they did on a balance ball & she said You can do it!! (....be careful what you share! ) But you know what I DID DO IT....i would've never attempted if she didn't believe in me and give me that push. Her no nonsense approach pushes you past your limits and gets you the most out of your workouts but she balances it with deep desire to see you succeed, not only in her gym, but in life! Thank you for all you do Christina

As someone who has never been sporty or fit, they made getting into shape accessible, fun, and now an important part of my routine. The coaches are all friendly and fun, and you can sense both the real care and technical expertise they put into the programming. It's welcoming and never intimidating. They take time to understand you, your goals, and starting point - every session is personalized to you, and they are constantly asking how your body is feeling and adapt to any injuries, aches and pains. Each session also focuses not just on resistance training, but on warm up, stretching, and all the accessory work to build a strong foundation. Exercises are explained in detail, including why they're in your program. You never move too fast for what your body is capable of, but over time see incredible progress. I've been amazed by how far I've come in just a year, and for the first time in my life have some visible muscle, some decent strength, and no longer struggle with lower back pain. More than that, it's made fitness a part of my identity and routines that will stay with me. I now have the confidence to do more training on my own and explore other activities. Through the year I've had multiple coaches - and depending on scheduling you might see different people across a week/month, usually with one main coach who you see the most. But because of the system and training at NTF, they can all pick right up where you left off with detailed notes and programming. I want to give a huge shoutout to the coaches I've trained with the most, including Sarah, Ryan, Alec, and Paul. It's certainly a premium offering and comes with the price tag to match, but I'm incredibly happy with the investment I've made in myself. A huge thanks to the whole team at NTF, and a congratulations to Sean for the culture and team he has built.

Awesome workshop! Sally really breaks it down and gives specific steps and exercises to get the…read moretechnique and improve overall posture and movement. 5 stars. Full story: In 2008 I read Marathon Man and What I Think About When I Think About Running and got super hyped to start running myself. I figured my lungs would tell me when I ran too far--that was usually the issue back in the days. I figured if I start with 10 min and add an extra few minutes per day, that would be fine. Well, exactly six days later, it wasn't my lungs but my knee. As I neared home it felt a little slow and sore. I put some ice on it and didn't worry about it. The next day, I couldn't bend it. It took six months to be able to walk normal! Since then, even after switching to minimalist footwear and working on a more natural step, any type of run has given me fear and pain. I figured, I can just give up running and move on though, but the place I study MMA requires running as part of the conditioning portion of its tests. Upon hearing my concerns, one of the guys at the center mentioned the Pose method and I read up on it and tried using the pointers during the short runs in conditioning. I really needed a coach though to give specific feedback. I just learn better that way, at least when trying something new. Just as I was doing my research on this, a LivingSocial deal came up with Sally's workshop. I wasn't too sure about Chi Running but since Tim Ferriss mentioned to check it out, I signed up. The workshop came just in time to start training for my next exam (~5 months away) and during the workshop, my knees felt as good as they do when I'm dancing. The biggest revelation for me was the correction on my pelvis. Sally's quick observation explained issues in my back, upper back, and hips. This insight alone was worth the entire workshop. Sally gave specific exercises to help properly align it and even when it was closer to correct than before, it made a ton of difference in the way I moved and felt. The workshop took place in the Presidio, a beautiful location. Just make sure to wear sunblock and/or a hat! Really. Sally breaks it down into several sections, first giving an overview then having everyone practice and giving individual feedback. She had us do a run before the workshop to see what she needed to focus on. I may be missing some, but in general it was posture, form, lean, hips, cadence. Something like that. When we had enough steps to try runs, we did it in small groups and each gets feedback again. In the end she made a recording of us running and sent back an analysis over email. Super professional and helpful. Can't give a higher recommendation.
