Since I was arranging the work long-distance, I had to coordinate among myself, Damien, and a relative. This wasn't a problem. Damien said he could come by at noon and he, along with a colleague, showed up exactly on time. He completed the work as promised at the price he quoted. He even did a little extra beyond reinstalling the door itself with no additional charge. He stayed to make sure some wood putty he used dried properly. All-in-all, a very good experience. What I got were delays, denials and blame placing. My mistakes are that I trusted him initially , continued to hope for satisfactory results even after the lies became obvious, and paying by Zelle before completion. The results: frustration, uncertainty, increased costs, sloppy work, and a project that I must now pay another contractor to finish.
